Denny’s

We went to this location in New Years Day it was a bit crowded but our waiter was great. Food was good and prices were great.

I went to this Denny’s lately and had my go-​to favorite for this kind of place, Country Fried Steak and Eggs. I had my Eggs over hard, white toast, and hash browns. Extra gravy was requested and received. Everything arrived hot and delicious. Service was good.
This is my go-​to order in IHOP, Denny’s, and similar venues. It is fairly hard to mess up and is usually delicious. 4 stars for good service, good food, and a pleasant dinner. For this kind of place and order 5 stars would have to be something extraordinary.

The spaghetti and meatballs is hands down the best! I know this is going to sound as crazy at it IS but I would even take this spaghetti over any Italian place! I know! I know! You want to kill me for saying that, but ’tis truth. So order the ‘pasghetti’ and dip your garlic bread! If you want to get real crazy order a side of pancakes with your meal! The fluffiest cakes around!
Service? Usually very, very good. Cleanliness? Yes.

No complaints. Everytime I come here the service is good. The food is good and not overpriced. Always hits th he spot. Great place for breakfast any time of the day

Worst service ever!!! I come here at least 2 – 3 times a week and today was horrible. First I waited 20 minutes to get my food order in even though I sat down with my wife. Then we finally receive service then waiting for the check. While eating you here the manager named Kim saying to a service that’s bold check the washroom the may have crap all over the floor. Really I’m eating Kim no need to hear that. Then she’s constantly yelling loud and annoying. My waiter was a kid with blond hair didn’t catch his name but he was dragging. I sat in the back belive was table 52 after I paid I told the guy that I don’t know what table I sat at and didn’t get a check cause waiter never came. Kim was next to the guy and said 52. Oh wow she remember where I sat but didn’t check at least to see of we needed anything. My wife wanted more butter we ask waiter we waited 15 min for that. Never again am I going there.

I don’t know if it’s Denny’s in general, or just this location, but definitely had the worst experience. Our server had no customer service skills. All he did was take our order, and bring our food. When he took our drink order, I asked my daughter if she wanted Apple juice, she said no. He still brought it and charged us even though she wasn’t going to drink it. I asked for the kid’s cupcake cup atleast, and he poured the juice in it. They don’t even wash the cup, so anything they pour into it for your child will have the taste and smell of plastic. They put the biggest glob of butter crap on the kid’s pancakes, well actually everything. The hash browns were not cooked through. Our server didn’t check on us until we were about done, so when we told him our (uneaten) orders of hash browns were not cooked through, he took them away and still charged us for them. The menu’s were filthy and sticky, and they pour their water into the smallest glasses, and never bother to refill them. This place is a joke.

Service was terrible! When we first sat down, there were two girls who were employees sitting in a booth on the side swearing profusely. Then, I believe our servers name was Gemico, unsure of the spelling. I ordered a grand slam with eggs, bacon, toast, and pancakes and received everything but the pancakes. Server never checked on us, never asked how we were doing, never came to see if we needed refills, in fact he wasn’t even on the floor at all! We could’ve walked out and I doubt he would’ve noticed. When he finally reappeared on the floor I had to wave him over to our table and by that time I had already gone 40 MINUTES without my pancakes. When I told him I never received them he asked me if I wanted them to go and I was just like no I still want them cause I’m hungry and want to eat them. I finally got them and he brought us the check with them & I never once said that I was ready for it. I was also charged full price for the meal which you would think I would’ve had some sort of guest appeasal. Worst service ever imaginable. By the way, we were the only customers in the restaurant. From now on, I’m going to the one in hickory hills.

Avoid going there on weekends, everyone and their mom is there. The food is good turkey bacon is pretty much why I go there. The place needs an upgrade or add music; something is missing. Over all good food.

INFESTED with FRUIT FLIES. Terrible had to keep swating them while eating. Thousands of fruit flies. How does the city keep them open.

Absolutely great food. Was not expecting it. My husband had breakfast and I had dinner. Very pleasantly impressed.

Service sucks at night waited a good 15 mins for the server and when he finnally took our order we had to ask for napkins 4 time before he even brought them to us as we were done eating. i ordered county fried steak with broccoli and mash potatoes and a side order of garlic bread my brocoli was luke warm with cold spots as well as my mash potatoes that actual country fried steak was pretty warm but not hot didnt even get my side of garlic bread and now its take forever to get our check. And its not even busy 4 tables are being used if that including mine

Excellent food here! They have turned this place around! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. Great prices that’s for sure. I’ll definitely be back!

Great place to come with family! Very clean and fast. No troubles so far!!! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious! Try the pancake puppies for Desert!!!

We had to ask for everything napkins, water refill, my daughter’s fruit that came with her meal. My husband order his food with no meat it came with meat, they took it back brought it right back he asked if they pulled the meat out and gave him the same one they said yes. We don’t eat meat. So they remade it. We will not be returning, pretty sure we’re just going to be done with Dennys. No stars if I could!

Wife: We really like this Denny’s. Clean & recently renovated. Very friendly & attentive waiters. Manager is doing his job well. Food is okay to good. My husband likes their creamed gravy over biscuits with scrambled eggs for two dollars or the Senior Starter for breakfast. Great place for breakfast.
Me: Big fan of the creamed gravy over biscuits and your choice of a scrambled egg or hash-​browns for two bucks. One day my waitress said if you order both you can have hash-​browns, a scrambled egg, and two biscuits with gravy for four bucks – which I happily did. Who in town can beat that price for that kind of breakfast?

I absolutely hate every other Denny’s I’ve ever been to other than this one. This location has always been the exception and has always served fresh food.
My only complaint is one not unique to Denny’s, but they really do not know how to cook bacon. It’s supposed to be CRISPY, not limp and chewy. Hello! Shame on me for not telling them to fry the hell out of it. Also, the bacon filled flapjacks? I’ll pass from now on. They sound much better than they taste due to the aforementioned chewy bacon.

Ok the food isn’t that bad. I really like the everything hashbrowns but getting it is the problem. Try calling there right now. You will hear «Dennyssdifeieifdifehehehtjeijdiek». They do not hire English speaking people. It is the most annoying thing in the world when I want to order my breakfast and I have to play translator.

Like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, I must be in search of a brain. Because if I had one, I would not have eaten here. But I guess when there is nothing else around open, this will have to do. The service here is sub-​par (with the exception of a few waitresses who have been there for years) and the management, no matter who it is, is always loud, noisy, and obnoxious. Not to mention the food quality is about as good as three day old leftovers. (That have been sitting in the sun in the backseat of your car because you forgot to bring them in with you, but you eat them anyway, because It’s the day before payday and you’re broke– not like I know what I’m talking about on that one.) Basically, the only redeeming quality of this place is the coffee, I have yet to get a bad cup. But If you want my advice, go find yourself the nearest gas station and get you one of those Pre– made Pre-​wrapped sandwiches. You’ll be better off than eating here.

They are not deserving of the star that I gave them. For some reason my dad seems to like this place which is where I met him for breakfast this morning. Can you spell GARBAGE boys and girls. I just can’t understand how this place is always incredibly busy! We waited way too long for everything: to be seated, our first cup of coffee, have our order taken, receive our food, get our second cup of coffee. Wait a minute I am a liar. We did not have to wait long for them to drop off our bill and then after that our waitress never stopped by again. The manager was making more noise than the tables of screaming kids that seemed to pack the place today. She seemed to be shouting at every employee in the place and she kept scurrying around barking out orders and commands as if she was the Emperor of the restaurant industry. I used to be in restaurant management back in the days and when things got busy you rolled up your sleeves and lend a hand wherever it was needed. She really needs an anger management, or restaurant management class or something. The food was awful. Everything was cold. and I am sure it was sitting around waiting for our waitress to pick it up. I did not dare complain as I did not want to be waiting any longer than I had too. I have very low expectations of this place as every time I am there something goes bad and they couldn’t even exceed my low expectations! There are many other good breakfast places close by (which I have reviewed so check ‘em out) so please go there and enjoy your breakfast!
