I have a new favorite breakfast place! This place is located right on the water(a plus) they have a pretty good selection on their menu and it is reasonably priced. I don’t know why I didn’t go here sooner but I know I will be making my way back over here very soon possibly for lunch or even dinner. If you do dine outside you don’t want to leave your plate unattended because the birds will help themselves to your plate. They even have signs up stating how the birds love their food. There is a walking trail/biking trail next to the water as well so if you feel like you need to walk off some food and take in the wonderful views it’s right there waiting for you. I will say the staff is very nice and helpful. They have a chicken plate on their breakfast menu. I wasn’t sure what kind of chicken it was because it didn’t state. So I asked the lady taking our order she even try to find some they had cooked to show me. But it turns out it was legs and thighs I was thinking more of chicken fingers or a breast so I passed on that for my breakfast. I am glad I passed because my pancakes were the best pancakes I have ever eaten! Here I was thinking the pancake house couldn’t be beat sorry pancake house you have been replaced. You don’t have to have an id to eat there but you do need one to get on post. It is a pretty big building so plenty of seating from what I saw. But the best view is outside so if there is seating out there go there who knows you might be lucky enough to see the sub that sometimes passes by.

Although is conveniently located near my work, the service is rather slow. First time visit here. Came in about about 30 minutes before they closed, so it was very slow. A lady ordered before me and that was all in there. Once she was finished it was my turn. Ordered the Italian Panini. Took 20 minutes to get it! The lady before me had already ordered and finished her meal! Are you kidding me?! Although the food was good, which is why I’m giving 3 stars the kitchen could be quicker.

*They have extended hours and now offer dinner service. Still a restaurant of convenience if you’re on Hickam and need to grab a bite. Not my first choice as I think the food tends to be more greasy-diner style, but it’s not bad. I think the best part of the establishment is the view of the channel and the occasional ship or sub passing by. I’ve been here quite a few times, usually for group events or meetings. Most recently was for breakfast on our way out to run some errands. I wasn’t too impressed with breakfast. It was very basic offerings, I was actually disappointed they didn’t have a basic spam & fried rice combo, that’s what I had been in the mood for.

Pretty decent place. I was surprised that it was a cafeteria style restaurant! It’s a beautiful location overlooking the water. The food is great and they serve breakfast all day. My husband got a Reuben and he loved it. And I got an omelet. Their portions are huge and are cheap! To me the quality of food wasn’t that great, but it’s cheap and on the water!

This was our first time here and we weren’t impressed. The food was your typical tasty but greasy breakfast food with some local choices mixed in. It was about average tasting. If I’m going to pay for a nice breakfast out I would choose a spot with more healthy choices on the menu. What really made us decide we wouldn’t go back were the flies. We wanted to enjoy the lanai but we spent our entire time swatting and shooing flies away from us and our food. We love the birds. They can harass us and beg all day long but flies landing in my food 4 or 5 at a time. No thanks. Bummed because it’s right on base close to our house. We’ll make the drive to Moke’s or Koa in the future.

Good food, great atmosphere, and fast service. Ordered the deluxe omelet, plain waffle and two coffees for under $ 20. Great view of the Pearl Harbor inlet. Don’t miss walking to the Missing Man memorial while you are there.

The number one attribute of this restaurant is the view! Be advised. They stop serving breakfast(the best meal there) at 10 am on the nose. We barely made it today, and some seemed a little grumpy about that. There is about a half hour break where no food gets served and then they start the lunch menu. Basically good breakfast food. Watch out and you will see all kinds of ships coming done Pearl Harbor Channel. Don’t leave your food alone outside, even for a minute, or the birds will get to it. We have started eating inside because of the bird problem. Wendy, the cashier is quite nice and helpful! Today, I saw signs outside that said they are now serving dinner.

You really can’t beat the view at Wright Brothers Café. Some mornings I come here to just grab fruit and sit outside. When you order from the counter they give you a pager to tell you when your food is ready to pick up at the counter. They have a range of things to choose from. This last time we ended up with the fried rice. I wouldn’t say this is my favorite food, but I like the staff and the view.

After trying this place out over and over, I can say it’s a sure thing for fried rice and egg scramble;) It also pleased kids who have a thing for pancakes or hubbies who enjoy wings and that sort of thing. They now serve dinner and even lots of new salad options and wine. So it’ a more affordable and casual alternative to Sam Choys with a friendly staff. There’s nothing AMAZING here…yet, but it’s getting better. And you can’t beat the convenience.

My omelet was good. The fresh fruit was ok. The cantelope wasn’t very tasty. It had a nice view.

The food is alway good. The cooks, work to prepare everything well and it shows. Most of the staff is very nice and accommodating. They recently took on a new manager who has a long beard and tons of attitude. He stands in the line with his arms crossed and a mean look on his face. We walked in the other day 10:01. We were told they close at 10:00 and told to leave. No thank you for coming by, no I’m sorry., just leave. It’s a private business, so no ICE cards. Please fire this guy, it’s so nice having a place for breakfast up the street, I just don’t like putting money in the pockets of people who treat customers poorly. I worked in the service industry for ten years and this guy’s behavior would’ve gotten me fired from my lousiest job.

This is my go to place for brunch on Sundays. Why? 1. It’s near my church(Pearl Harbor Chapel) 2. Prices are reasonable. 3. I get to watch football on Sundays :) Overall, I like this place. It’s definitely not fancy, but there is plenty of seating inside and outside on a lanai. If there is a nice breeze, it’s nice to sit outside. But be warned, the birds will come at your plate if you leave it unattended. Customer service is okay. You place your order, are given a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Condiments are self serve as is drinks. They have a worker who cleans the tables off but if you’re nice and polite, you can bus your own tray/plates to the cart by the backdoor. :) Menu is pretty much your common breakfast fare until about 11 when I think you can do lunch or breakfast. I can’t comment on lunch items, but breakfast ones are okay. Not blow your mind and make you come back every day… but good.

First let me say we came to the café during lunch time. It was not busy at all. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. The cooks were in the kitchen area chatting away. We went up twice to ask for our food. People came in AFTER us received their food before we did. Finally one of the sandwiches came out, when I asked where the rest of the order was the reply was«I don’t know, I think they might have lost the order» yet, one of the cooks can make his food and then go eat it out in the front area while we are waiting for our food… still 45 minutes later. No one seems to understand how our order can take so long. Unreal. It should have taken 10 minutes tops to make each sandwich. Needless to say, we will not be coming back.

So… this place is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s awesome. Sometimes it fails big time. The biggest problem I have is that it’s not usually clean feeling when I go in there. This go around we had the lanai reserved. We showed up… nothing was set up. There weren’t enough chairs, the tablecloths were covered in gecko and bird poop. Not really professional, in my opinion. I was there for breakfast and ordered toast. After it came out of the toaster, the cook put butter or oil or something on it. I didn’t ask for that, nor was it on the menu. Toast is toast-not toast with«insert fat-product here.»

Was not a fan of my philly cheesesteak. I posted a picture. It was basically bread. My husband enjoyed his cordon bleu panini though. The view is amazing. The service was great. Will go again and hopefully enjoy my food more.

This is a great place to have Brunch. The lines move quickly. Wait time is 10 – 15 minutes if they aren’t Slammed with a huge crowd. There’s always Plenty of parking. You can choose to eat indoor with the A/C and TV or outside on the lanai and watch an occasional Naval Ship or Sub with their Tug Boat escort on their way in or out of Pearl Harbor. Either way it’s a very relaxed atmosphere either in door or outside on the Lanai. Noise level is low, even if there’s a crowd. So it’s a win win situation… Great food at a great price in a relaxing atmosphere. ENJOY!

For some reason I’m the type of home cook who can make crème brûlée and a soufflé, but task me with making an omelet or eggs… its a disaster worthy of an episode of Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America. The other morning dressed in my best«People of Walmart» attire, I traipsed over to Wright Bros Café & Grill to grab some breakfast to go to bring me back to life. Having never been here before, and hearing reviews ranging from greasy and disgusting to delicious, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, I ordered the Western Omelet and added hash browns, and a coffee which was desperately needed(as so kindly noted by the cashier… don’t worry no stars were removed for snide remarks on my not so pristine appearance) and dragged my disaster looking self home. All in all the meal was a-ok. The hash browns could use a little oomph, maybe some Waffle House«smother» style(dear lord, did I just say that?), but otherwise, not bad at all. Definitely easier to get to than having to fight the parking lot and seating issues at some other places when all you’re going to do is go home and eat.

I go here on a regular basis last time was last Thursday. It’s good food with great prices. Normally I get the grilled cheese and fries, grilled cheese is always great, but I wish they offered the same fries all the time they seems to change quite frequently. This last time I got a ½ Turkey sandwich with all veggie that they offer, I was pleased with it. The only item I’ve ever not been happy with is the Oriental Chicken Salad they put so much dressing on it, it was like I was swimming in it. FYI get the dressing on the side, I couldn’t eat it, that was how much dressing was on it, but overall good food and a beautiful view. If you get lucky you may see ships and subs come in or going out amazing site to see.

This restaurant is open for lunch during the week, happy hour on wednesdays, and brunch on the weekends. It’s counter service with two options, a hot food pick your own plate side, and a grilled side. The hot food line changes food everyday while the grilled side has a set menu of salads, wraps, sandwiches, and burgers. I personally have never ordered from the hot food line because the food is usually pretty unhealthy. They have some great choices for healthy salads and wraps. I love that they have so many choice regarding bread and wraps. For sides I’ve seen people order fruit, fries(regular or sweet potato) or chips. They give you a lot of food(especially the salads!) and they are very quick. Once you order they give you a pager that will go off then your food is ready. The location is beautiful, right on the water. You can watch the ships come in and out of the harbor while having your lunch. If you’re on base and want a cheaper alternative to Sam Choy’s, definitely check this place out!
