Psychic Readings by Sherry

I’m not going to review the actual psychic nature of our experience, because my friend and I were just looking for a bit of fun and not a life changing reading. Sadly, this wasn’t the place to get it.
We rang the bell and were met by the proprietor, three dogs, and a vacuum with cord strung through the walkway. The business portion of this house is completely separate from the upstairs living quarters, so I don’t see any reason to have dogs running around, but whatever. And if you’re going to vacuum in the middle of a Saturday, maybe move the vacuum so we aren’t tripping over it. But these things aren’t really what bothered me most.
There was no ceremony, no theatrics, and very little in the way of reading. $ 45 for you to ask me what I do for a living and tell me I’m blessed? We sat there awkwardly for a long time in silence. Sherry did nothing in the way of moving the reading forward.
I expected this to be bogus — as I said, we were just looking for a new experience — but if you run a business of this sort, I should at least be rooting for you. You should smile or be kind or something. Instead I felt like I had been called to the principal’s office in a dirty basement. Flat, deadpan, boring, and expensive.

Well, it’s been about 9 months and nothing Sherry said would happen has.
«There will be a change in your job that you aren’t happy about in 6 months»
WRONG
No change. Job’s good.
«One of your parents is ill, but don’t worry, it’s nothing serious and they will recover soon»
WRONG
Dad died years ago and mom is still battling cancer. I think cancer qualifies as «serious».
“There will be an offer on your home and it won’t be perfect, but it’ll be good“
WRONG
No offers. Not. A. Single. One.
Part of me wonders if Sherry saw this review coming…

She skipped the appointment I made with her. I arrived at her house/​business as scheduled. She wasn’t there. She didn’t answer her phone. She never even called back later to say why, apologize, reschedule, nothing.
But I bet she knew I was going to pan her on Unilocal,so that counts for something, right?!
