Love this park !!! My family comes every year. Rides for everyone, a waterpark an some shows during the day. Chocolate World is always a must ! So much fun

Since my review on the park, a member of their customer service department made contact with me. They were concerned about my visit and wonder what they could do to make it right. I was very happy with the one on one contact with them and they corrected the issue. I look forward to returning and see if the problems are adjusted.

I’ve yet to dole out many 5-​star reviews as a Unilocaler but Hersheypark is deserving of nothing less. Let me preface my review by saying I’m coming up on my third year of holding a season pass and have been 25 times in the last two years. Not a typo. I’ve been in every season: Springtime, Summer, Hersheypark in the Dark, and Christmas Candylane.
All seasons have been great but I would argue Hersheypark in the Dark in the best time to go, close to Halloween. The best day is to go the Friday before Halloween when they open at 5pm. I’ve gone the last two years on this day and have been able to ride every roller coaster with minimal waits, both times. This is unheard of! If you’re not a season pass holder like me, an added bonus during this time is the reduced ticket prices.
The worst season to go is Christmas Candylane, especially this past year. They opened more of the park than before, including three roller coasters. Obviously, this drew a much bigger crowd and really made getting around difficult. With that said, I still found it an enjoyable experience minus navigating around the large number of children and adults acting like children.
I have no complaints as a season pass holder. The savings between the free parking, discounts on food/​drink, and value books really add up! It is an exceptional value and I highly recommend it if you go even three times a year.
This past season was a blast with the addition of a 13^th roller coaster, Laff Trakk. While the wait times were ridiculous, it’s a great addition to the park and I rode it three times. I would expect the wait times to drop off for 2016 as it’s losing the brand new designation. However, it is a very popular family ride so it may vary.
I’ve been to many amusement parks and can honestly say Hersheypark goes above and beyond in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and food options/​value. If you have a chance to in 2016, jump on it! You won’t regret it!

3 stars for now until I come back and try to experience the whole park. Apparently they shut down a lot of the rides during the winter which doesn’t make a lot of sense. I would play it by weather, because the rides should have definitely been running today. Felt kind of jipped. Everything is available in the spring. It was an ok amusement park experience but I’m willing to come back and give it another try when everything is open.

Hershey park is clean, has public restrooms that smell like chocolate and they have rides that cater to EVERYBODY.
I am a season pass holder and all my experiences here, during all seasons, have been pleasant. If you are a season pass holder, buy a souvenir cup so your refills are ONLY 0.99! Also all your meals, snacks and purchases here are 20% off! The pass pays for itself after 3 visits. You also get coupons for BOGO.
There are many shady spots to sit. The snack stations, restaurants and restrooms are usually clean. Mind you, I do try to come on weekdays to avoid lines and big crowds.
Lots of rides the whole family can enjoy with kids who are 6 and up.

I guess I should follow the advice of the late great Jim Croce when he said that you you don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t spit into the wind and you don’t pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger. But because I’m an A-​Hole, I will anyway.
I’m still surprised that more people haven’t put in together to show up on Thanksgiving night. The one down side is that the park is only open for five hours but I guarantee that going on that night you’ll get more rides in versus showing up the day prior or on a Saturday where you’ll wait in ten times the lines.
As an example we got there right when the park opened at 5pm and as usual maybe there are a hundred-​ish people waiting in line. As soon as the gates are opened we head to the back of the park and hit the Wild Cat seven straight times without getting off the coaster then go for two rounds on Laff Track all in under an hour. (You did know that this year for the first time they opened three coasters during November-​December, right?)
We got in ten rides overall on the three coasters, rode everything else in the park that we wanted in some cases multiple times and played several games all by 9pm.
So yeah, I’m more than happy to skip some of the fake family time on Thanksgiving or skip watching the Eagles get their asses handed to them so that I can come to Hershey and more or less have free run of the place in comparison to what it will be like for the poor suckers who will show up on the weekends.

This park definitely deserves 5 stars because regardless of summer time where you can enjoy water fun and great rides or fall with the Halloween theme and lastly which is always my favorite, and that’s the Christmas theme where their is a great light show put to music and the park is lit up everywhere with Xmas lights. Plus you can’t visit Hersheypark at Xmas without stopping by many numbers of stands for their famous hot chocolate.

I only go here during halloween as cheaper and really quiet.
Recommended during this time.

I came here yesterday and I am definitely a fan. We chose to come here on the off season because I know how insane the peak season can be. Not only that the lines are shorter and the tickets are cheaper. Granted you’re not getting that summer experience, but I prefer the chill to a hot sweltering day. There is ample amount of roller coasters and kiddie rides that can keep everyone pre occupied. For October they open at 5, so by the time we were all ready to eat, the place was really cold. And unfortunately from what we saw there were hardly any indoor eateries. So we left around 9 and headed somewhere else to enjoy a bite.
Overall experience:
Get there early
And try out the park on the off peak season.

I’m sorry to say it, but I was not impressed. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Busch Gardens, VA, but if I had paid full price for our tickets, I would have felt ripped off. Lines were atrocious and disorganized once you get towards the loading dock of roller coasters, there was litter everywhere, with overflowing trash cans.
I will never visit the water park again. The lines to get into the structures with my kids was just about as long as the lines for roller coasters, but without any time limit, it could be longer than roller coaster lines. Lifeguards were inattentive and I saw a small boy almost drown, but didn’t thanks to the help of another parent.
The zoo inside of the park was nice though. Again, I’m glad that we didn’t have to pay extra to get into it, but at least it was a positive part of our trip. Having native North American animals was a nice feature and was very informative for my two children.
I may give it another shot during «off-​season» but I will never go during the summer again.

Awesome amusement park with plenty to do for everyone in the family. They have a ton of rollercoasters of all types including wooden, inverted, and stand up ones. There are also plenty of less intense rides like classic cars and the kissing tower. The zoo is also a nice bonus and included in admission. It isn’t huge, but has lots of North American animals and the wolves are spectacular. Food is a bit expensive across the park. It also gets very crowded, so be prepared for an hour+ wait for the big rides. During the fall, they stay open at night with most of the coasters still open so you can save a little.

I have only been to Hershey Park once before, before I went on Roller Coasters. I was missing out! We came here this past weekend for the Hersheypark in the Dark promotion. We bought two-​day tickets for under $ 50 total, and with those tickets we were able to get in Friday night, too!
Between Friday and Saturday, we got on every roller coaster in the park! My favorite was Skyrush. The new Lafftrak was surprisingly fun, though. There’s a few surprises I won’t spoil.
The lines weren’t long for any ride, and the longest we waited was 30 minutes, which, compared to Six Flags, is nothing. The staff was for the most part friendly, but a little slow. Chalk it up to it not being in NY or NJ.
Chocolate World is huge, and has a free ride in it that comes with a free piece of candy at the end. Be sure to go to the fudge store or get a s’more.

Waffled on the rating as there is so much potential here. The roller coasters are great. So many different kinds and degrees of scariness. So many other rides which never had long lines so a nice break from the coasters. Lots of games for the kids and lots of benches for the adults.
Now for the bad. The lines for food were ridiculous. We waited 45 minutes just to get lunch so we knew we were leaving the park for dinner. Prices are way too high. $ 3 for a bottle of water? Even Disney doesn’t charge that much.
The staff is not trained. Watching the girls scoop ice cream had me cringing as we own an ice cream store. Milkshakes and sundaes were even worse. Hershey should be ashamed how people are managed. Nobody was monitoring the coasters so cars would go through with 3 – 4 empty seats when there were long lines. We were SUPER disappointed with service.

The wait for the rides wasn’t too long, surprisingly. And we went on the Saturday before Labor Day. We didn’t stay for the whole day but if you stay and go to the water park (which is almost like a must because it’s soooo hot there) it’s totally worth the $ 60.
Don’t forget to check out the chocolate world on the other side. So. Much. Chocolate.

I haven’t been to Hershey Park since I was a young kid. Boy was it fun for me.
I love riding the roller coasters and stuff, but I must say I enjoy the water park of Hershey better. I mean who doesn’t enjoy riding on a water slide or getting splashed in the water play grounds especially on a hot summer day.
The park does provide entertainment like the dancing chocolate bars or the «Nsync» wanna be boy band, but in Hershey Park form.
Definitely shop around here because they provide a lot of souviners shops.
Be sure to visit Hershey World, right outside of the park. Stock up on chocolate and souviners. Definitely go ride on the free factory tour. It’s not really an actual factory but you get the idea of how Hershey chocolate is made. Plus you get a free chocolate at the end of the tour.
It’s definitely worth coming here if you want to have lots of fun. I think it’s better than Six Flags.

Do you love rollercoasters, thrill rides, and chocolate, but hate long waits? Well, c’mon down to Hersheypark! I love the rides at Six Flags, but unless you get the flash pass, there’s a good chance you will spend the day there and only get to go on 3 – 5 of the biggest attractions. The majority of the several hours you will spend there will be waiting on line with annoying high school students, loud tourists, and the blazing hot sun. Hersheypark offers you similar thrills for a fraction of the wait time. We got there around 12/​1p and were able to go on 8 thrill rides that I can definitely recall, eat lunch, take a couple hydration breaks, and do the free chocolate tour, all by about 7p.
We scored the tickets for free by attending an AHL game.
Will go again. Highly recommend. Bring the kids.

Ahhh… Hershey Park.
What’s not to love? Awesome rides, chocolate, and tickets under $ 50. Yes, under $ 50.
Let’s start off with crowds. We came on a Thursday, got caught in traffic and arrived around 10:30. The masses were flocking into the park. We actually walked and didn’t take the tram.
We made the dumb mistake of trying to ride the first thing we saw, which was the Comet. Got out of line. Then we tried to sooperdooperLooper. Got out of line. Then Skyrush. Got out of line. Notice a trend? We didn’t want to wait long. The first ride we actually rode was the log flume. The line moved fast and the ride was fun.
So after half an hour of hopping in and out of rides, then a little confusion of which family members were where, we decided on our plan. Now, the plan is secret. The longest we ended up waiting was 15 minutes while wait times were crazy everywhere else. I don’t everyone to know! Message me and I MIGHT tell you ;).
We rode every ride except for Skyrush, Storm Runner, Fahrenheit, Wildcat, and Laff Trakk.
Skyrush — not my type of ride. I don’t want to feel like I’m dying.
Storm Runner — ditto.
Fahrenheit — ride broke down right before we got on. We only waited 10 minutes, however.
Wildcat — Riders said this ride was really rough, and I can’t afford to hurt my back again. Yes, I’m talking to you Gwazi! Line was nonexistent according to to other members of my family.
Laff Trakk — line over and hour. Was like that the whole day. Basically, wait or don’t ride.
Rides we rode:
Trailblazer — a favorite of mine as a child. Not scary, but it’s a fun ride that everyone can enjoy.
Lightning Racer — my personal favorite coaster in the park. I live racing the other train. Super smooth for a wooden coaster. Lightning (red) track is smoother.
Great Bear — a really unique B&M invert. I love the helix before the drop and flying over the water.
Comet — a classic. A little rough in some spots, but is amazingly smooth for a coaster built in 1940.
sooperdooperLooper — another classic. I love how it intertwines with the terrain.
Wild Mouse — the best Wild Mouse I have ridden. No brakes!
Sidewinder — great Boomerang.
Whip — old school carnival ride. I love it!
Those were the standouts. We also rode an assortment of carnival rides. Additionally, the Kissing Tower offers great views through cute Hershey’s kiss shaped windows.
The waterpark is fun. Surprisingly, the slides in the sprayground were fun, and the lines were short. The big water slide lines were LONG. We waited 25 minutes for one of the shortest and least impressive slides. The bowl slide was 40 minutes and the funnel was 30. I suggest riding the Surge slide. You use the same tube as the funnel, but the line is much shorter. We didn’t have time to try out the lazy river or the wave pool.
The food is mediocre. We ate at the huge food area in the Pioneer Frontier area. I had the gluten free buffalo chicken pizza. The crust was good for a GF pizza. However, the chicken was sparse and dry, and there was both tomato sauce and Buffalo sauce on the pizza, which was weird. A couple of the cousins got Moe’s. I like the chicken nuggets and fries here! The fries are sooo good for theme park fries.
You may have been wondering the whole time how I got tickets for $ 47 for adults and even cheaper for kids (I can’t remember). I got them through Boy Scouts of PA! Yes, I seriously considered not buying the tickets from them because of their discrimination issues (I’m a supporter of the LGBT community), but the price was just way too good to pass up. Just search «hershey park tickets boy scouts» on Google and it’ll be the first result. You use their link to go through the Hershey website, so no going to will call! Yay!
Be sure to visit the Chocolate World on your way out – its open an hour after the park closes so you’ll surely have time to visit. I’ll write a review on that next.
This is probably my favorite non-​Disney theme park. With a low admission price, 13 awesome roller coasters, and a beautiful setting, what’s not to LOVE!

Overall, Hershey Park is an excellent experience for the whole family, but could really use some updates to their food and beverage.
Food: The food was somewhere between a 2 and a 3. We started our day by having the Breakfast Buffet with the Characters at 8:00 AM. This afforded us early access to the park (similar to that of season pass holders), and free parking (which was likely a mistake on their part). The breakfast buffet had chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, etc. It was decent (³⁄₅), but what really set it over the top were the characters and the singing guy who played a wide variety of music and interacted with the kids. My daughter really enjoyed it.
We also ate at Nathan’s on the boardwalk for lunch. There was a huge line, and the food was below mediocre — at best ²⁄₅. We had chicken fingers and cheese fries. The fries were limp and under-​cooked, and the chicken just wasn’t very good. It is like they fry massive batches of them, and then they sit under the heat lamp for hours. Hershey should really spruce-​up its food offerings to cater toward foodies who ask for a little bit more than crappy fried-​food. Maybe I just didn’t go to the right spot?
Rollercoasters: I knew nothing about the rollercoasters prior to coming.
Skyrush: Nearly made me crap myself. It takes-​off like a freakin’ rocket. It travels at nearly 75 mph. I couldn’t even keep my head straight, and thought it was going to rip-​clean-​off. Nuts.
Fahrenheit: Why did I go on this one? This was intense. The initial drop is crazy, You get pulled up what feels like a 90 degree angle, to then be dropped straight down. Terrifying, but awesome.
Comet: A classic, wooden coaster that is still fun to go on, but does not carry the same thrill as the previous two.
Sooper Dooper Looper: Basically one loop and you’re done. This must’ve been one of the first loop-​coasters, because it is very basic; but still fun.
That is all the coasters I could handle for that day, but they were a blast (⁵⁄₅)
Regular Rides: In addition to the coasters are some regular rides like the tilt-​a-​whirl, scrambler, pirate ship, etc. They are all classics, and I like that they have them (⁵⁄₅)
Boardwalk (water park): I loved this area, my daughter would not go on any of the tube slides with me (she’s 4 ½), so I lost-​out there; but the waterpark area is a lot of fun, and the wave pool is awesome. I always loved the wave pool as a kid, and my daughter is the same way.

Tip 1: The breakfast buffet was mediocre, but the early access to the park was nice. It isn’t very widely advertised on their website, but if you look for it, it is there. We got there at about 740 AM, and there were no parking attendants, or anything, so I got free parking too — that may have been a mistake though. The extra hour in the park affords you access to a wide variety of rides, but not all of them are open yet. It was nice to try them all out before the hordes of people arrived.
Tip 2: Sunday seems to be a better option than Saturday; but you really need more than one day to do it all.
Tip 3: Always wear footwear in the bathrooms! I got a fungal infection on my foot for being stupid and not doing this.
Tip 4: Research the park map ahead of time, and know where you want to go. Trying to do so in the park is confusing. The app isn’t really very helpful.
Tip 5: Fast Passes are on a first-​come-​first-​serve basis in the hospitality center. If you want one, stop there first
Tip 7: If you have a small child and are not exactly sure how tall they are, instead of going from ride to ride having them measured, just go to hospitality services, have them measured once, and they will be given a bracelet.
Tip 8: The Kiddy-​Swap Program works, but not all staff know how to use it. Essentially, if you go to the park with a small child, you are allowed to all stand in line. Then, one of the adults can ride — then when the first adult returns, they can swap places and the other adult can ride while the first adult watches the child. This is nice because you do not have to wait in line twice.
Price: It is a little pricey, but if you come into Hershey the day or two before and stop by a Giant Grocery Store, they typically sell discounted tickets for a reasonable price. If you live in the area, it probably makes sense to get a season pass. If you go more than twice, it pays for itself. (³⁄₅)
Final Thoughts: I really enjoyed myself at Hershey Park. Mind you, I get much more nauseous now than I ever have before (sigh … age); but it was a great time and I look forward to making a lot of great memories with friends, family, and especially my daughter over the next many years!

Had a great experience at the park. The weather was awesome and the park wasn’t too crowded.
I found it to be clean and lots of fun.
The only thing I observed was that a lot of the «kids» that work there seemed rather bored with their jobs. It’s an amusement park and in this economy YOU HAVE A JOB! Look like you want to be there. No one was rude and everyone was nice upon interaction but it was rather apparent that quite a few of them were over working there.
Regardless, I had a wonderful time and intend to return in the future.

We absolutely love love LOVE Hershey! My four year old had a blast and is already asking to go back. We went on Laff Trakk’s opening weekend so it was quite hectic! But Laff Trakk was such an original coaster (for me.)
I haven’t a clue why, but their map was harder to follow. I don’t know if it was because you had to go back and forth between numbers and the attractions on the map, but it resulted in us wandering around and making circles and not seeing it all.
In the grand scheme of things, we enjoyed our trip and can’t wait to return!

Es al primer parque tan grande que he ido en toda mi vida. En esa ocasión fui con varios amigos y a pesar de que el parque es enorme para poder subirte a alguno de los juegos tienes que hacer largas filas que tardan años para avanzar. No estoy seguro cuantas horas estuve en ese parque pero si me llegue a subir a 5 juegos fue demasiado. Existen juegos mecánicos de todo tipo y para todos los gustos y edades. En su interior cuenta con una alberca enorme de olas y un sinfín de restaurantes.
Para venir a este parque tienes que venir temprano para que puedas recorrer lo más que puedas. El acceso no se cuanto cueste porque me lo pagaron y no pregunte cuanto costo. Obviamente en el interior del parque se encuentran varias tiendas para adquirir chocolates de la marca Hershey´s. a un costado del lugar puedes encontrar un área de comedor bastante amplia para todas aquellas personas que van en grupos y quieran rentar ese espacio.
Todo el parque luce muy limpio, bien cuidado y en excelentes condiciones. Hasta cuenta con unn pequeño zoológico para aquellas personas que les encantan los animales. Si eso no te es suficiente puedes entrar al acuario y disfrutar de los peces y diferentes especies marinas.
No olvides llevar protector solar, gorra y mucha agua para beber.
