I love the food and fresh! I don’t feel thirsty after the meal, so I believe they don’t use MSG as they advertise the restaurant. I will definitely come back!

I have repeatedly done business with Wok ‘N Roll Herndon and have never received any issues. Today was the exception. I placed my online order at 7:34 pm and I waited for them to take my credit card order. At 8:50 pm I called to get an update to find out they never even checked their online orders, because the man who is in charge of it wasn’t present. I told the manager we waited a long time and I would like my order still delivered and a discount. He said he could give me 20% and went to speak with his driver. Then he came back and said no he won’t deliver to me. I told him that was irresponsible and his business lacks customer service. My husband called back again to get a better explanation and he said he won’t deliver all the way to our house. We live 2.8 miles away from the restaurant and their website says they deliver within 4 miles. He says the website is inaccurate. We ordered from them a month ago with no issues.

I come here somewhat regularly for lunch. The Mongolian BBQ is very good and accompanies a full Chinese buffet. The buffet includes soups, appetizers and a wide selection of entrees. Service is very friendly and the wait staff is very good with frequent water refills. The food on the buffet is standard Chinese fair and isn’t the best food I’ve ever had, but when combined with the Mongolian BBQ creates a reasonably filling choice for lunch.

Delivery has been fine. No complaints. Food was great, copious, on time. Crispy Jumbo Shrimp Rolls were small but delicious. Food comes in containers with tight lids. If you’re lacking hand strength, have them open the containers for you before they leave.(Especially the soups.) The fried rice that comes with the entrees is plain — don’t expect anything besides the rice. They deliver evenings. —- It’s been a few months and I’m more confident of the four star rating. Because I’ve run into so many three star area Chinese restaurants. The three star restaurants give you aging broccoli. The broccoli at this restaurant was completely green and fresh. Three star restaurants slap the sauce on the moment they cook it. The vegetables aren’t marinated at all. The broccoli arrives partially yellowing, or worse.

I feel compelled to write a review to counter some of the single stars on here. Set your expectations – this isn’t fine dining. I still expected Charlie Chiangs when I walked up to Worldgate because that was the name of the place when I last visited. Whoops, not that anymore. Checked Unilocal.Yikes! Two stars. Whatever, I maverick’ed my way in. So let’s be clear. I’m not talking about lunch and I’m not talking about take-out. Perhaps there are issues there driving the single-star ratings. Surely you’re now asking: «Okay then buddy, what ARE you talking about?!» Mongolian BBQ. The reason I come here is the Mongolian BBQ. And after my visit tonight, there’s no question I’ll keep coming back. On the left as I entered, the vegetables were fresh and the serving area was tidy. I chose beef and pork — and for my second bowl I had more beef and pork. All cooked just perfectly. I’ve been to plenty of mbbq places where the thinly sliced beef ends up tough and leathery … but not here. Still moist. The pork too. My kids ate their bowls clean(shrimp/noodles/veggies). The chinese buffet tonight was pretty bare. There were no potstickers. No mussels. In fact, there was half as much as I was used to, I think. No matter, that’s not why I’m coming here. Though I was impressed that the serving trays were only 25% full with the selections placed neatly in the center of each tray. Low traffic = low food prep. I appreciate that. They’re trying to not waste food and we get an added bonus of the food being more fresh because if it does get consumed they have to replace it more frequently. Service-wise I have no complaints. It wasn’t crowded, so I suppose there’d be no excuse for anything less. Still, we were seated promptly, the drinks came before I returned to the table from the mbbq bar, and the server kept coming back to check on us. The bill? Also quick and easy. So there you go. my vote is to check it out and get some Mongolian BBQ. I’ll be back, for sure.

I ordered from Wok N’ Roll Herndon last night(Sunday) because they are less than a mile and a half from my house. My daughter was being picked up at 7:45 pm, so I ordered online at 6:06 pm. I ordered pot stickers, spring rolls, sesame chicken and shrimp lo mein. I was called at 6:16 pm to pay for my order. The gentleman took my card number said thanks and hung up – he didn’t tell me how long it would be nor did he give me the opportunity to ask before hanging up. I expected it to take about 45 minutes. So, at 7:04 pm I called the restaurant to check on the status of my order. The phone rang several times; I was going to hang up when a woman answered. I explained that I ordered 45 minutes before calling and that I was checking to make sure there wasn’t a problem. They lady dismissively said, «You ordered 45 minutes ago? Then your order is on the way.» I waited 15 more minutes and called again. This time a man answered. I explained to him what was going on. He asked my address. He said the driver was on the way. That was at 7:20 pm. At 7:35 pm, my food arrived. I did not tip the driver as they gave me no indication that it would take that long for my food to arrive. I called twice and both times was told that my order was on the way, and still waited an additional half hour. When the driver saw that he did not receive a tip, he came back to my door and confrontationally asked if there was a problem. I explained why he didn’t get a tip. He said that it didn’t take more than an hour and that he got the order at 6:19 pm. It was 7:35 pm – more than an hour. He then said that he has to pay for his own gas and use his own car to deliver and that he’s just a delivery driver — he gets the food and delivers the food. So, I told him to take it up with Wok N’ Roll because it had been more than an hour and if someone had told me that it would be this long it would have been fine. But no one did, nor did they accurately answer my question when I called. He continued to argue saying that sometimes on weekends it takes longer. And, I said that it was fine if it takes longer but they need to tell people that and then give them real updates about how long it will be instead of just saying it’s on the way when it isn’t. Then he said that the restaurant doesn’t pay him and that he only gets tips. So again, I told him that I tip for good service(I actually overtip, usually) but this service was unacceptable. He then stormed off. Now, on to the food: the pot stickers were badly burnt on one side. The non-burned side was rubbery. The sauce that came with them was very good, though. I didn’t have any of the shrimp lo mein, but my daughter liked it. The sesame chicken was also very good. There wasn’t much breading on it, so it was very tender. The spring rolls were slightly overcooked but not bad. Overall, the food was decent, but not worth the awful customer service or experience. I will never order from them again.

After 10+years of eating at this restaurant in person and through delivery I was told the restaurant no longer wanted to deliver to me. Even though I haven’t moved I am now too far to deliver to! New management is screwing this place up big time. To top it off, I was delivered less food than usual and the chicken seemed less than fresh. Skip it people!

How the previous individual gave them 4 stars, has me somewhat confused. Never again.

I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp in order to fairly compare this place with China King, a restaurant that met the bar for chinese food and went no further. The sauce was well flavored and in the right quantity; not goopy or gelatinous. The shrimp tasted like shrimp(!) and were not overcooked, and the veggies tasted fairly fresh. The portion was generous, though I ordered off the main menu rather than the lunch specials. Their website ordering leaves something to be desired, such as the ability to update your phone number without re-entering your password, but was sufficient. They did call as promised within 10 minutes of my web-based order to confirm. Overall I’m happy to be within walking distance of Wok ‘N Roll(formerly Charlie Chiangs; they have yet to update the signage). It shall serve my chinese food needs at a step above China King.
