This is hands down my favorite restaurant! If you haven’t tried it, you’re seriously missing out. The only thing better then the service and price is the food! I’ve yet to try anything I didn’t love and I’m still exploring the menu. This is my first Unilocal review and rightfully so, I acutely signed up just to give them the review they deserve.

We order from here at least once a week! Their pupusas and tamales are delicious :) Great friendly service. Highly recommended. They also deliver(I’ve heard as far as Sterling)– check them out!

This Salvadorian restaurant earned it’s four stars as it has now but it deserves five. Typical plates, simple preparation with good ingredients makes for some great Salvadoran food. The best compliment I can pay this restaurant is to enjoy another meal there.

The girl taking the order was nice and the order was right. Pupusas? Doughy and the beans… were like refried beans from the can. –_– Los tamales? Had bones. The chicharon with yucca? Dry, old. Salsa? Watered down, canned. Empanadas? =(… fail Fresh ingredients and spices would do wonders. No tiene sabor la comida.

Super inviting and friendly staff. The guy working there was very personable and helpful with the menu. I ordered a la carte: one chicken and one beef taco; Salvadorean style, and one mixed pupusa(pork, cheese, beans). Both tacos came with a generous amount of meat and cheese and a large slice of avocado. I also have to mention that the corn taco tortillas were made by hand and tasted as fresh as I’ve ever had. The pupusa was made fresh to order and was great. It wasn’t greasy, which can sometimes be an issue for me with some pupusas. Filled with cheesy beany goodness. 5 stars for the super friendly service and hot and fresh food. Other things to note, they have table service for dine-in and they also have takeout and delivery($ 12 minimum, 4 mile radius), the guy working there also spoke perfect english so there was no language barrier at all; which I know can be an issue or barrier for some people at some places. Give them a try. I know I will be back to try one of their entrees or shrimp ceviche.

Their atol de elote is my favorite drink from There! Their driver Thomas is super friendly when he delivers our food. I have never been inside but I order delivery quite often for me and my co workers. Pupusas are really good and sopes de carne are good too!

Today I had the steak sopes. It was unbelievable!!! I had already eaten my tacos or would have asked to trade out. I have found a new favorite and I can’t wait to go back.

I was next door at the Vet’s office and stumbled upon this place. This place is the real deal. Super friendly staff, great prices and excellent food. I had cheese and beans papusas and they were super yummy. The sauce and cabbage side was A+ as well. I will be going back here many many times. Come out and support this small business. For a home cooked meal and feel this is the place.

When this place is good, they are fantastic. I love their refriend bean pupusas! But I find they are a bit inconsistent. The cabbage sometimes is yummy, but sometimes it tastes like straight up oregano. And the last time we were there, we waited 15 extra minutes than the estimated time for our order, and my boyfriend was shorted one pupusa and was given the wrong kind. My beans were waaaay salty, and they gave us a ton of extra sauce that we ended up throwing away. Seriously, they gave us like two extra bags, what a waste! It might have just been an off night for them, but if they were more consistent, I would say five stars!

I’m Honduran and I’m always looking for a place that has food just like back home. I realize this place is salvadorean, but I wanted to try it. I was expecting it to be average and not as I remember food in my country but OHMAN! Was I mistaken! I ordered a Tipico express and a cheese pupusa. The tortillas were very well done, and fat like the ones my mom used to do. The pupusa was delicious! and the sour cream was on point! I never leave Unilocal reviews, but this place made me felt like I was back to my home city and I NEEDED to leave a review. Please remember I got delivery, so I can’t review the actual restaurant location.

Friendly staff. The food was delicious. I had 2 papusa with pork, bean, and cheese. This was very good. It came cabbage slaw and salsa roja. Also ordered three tacos. 2 beef and one chicken. This came with a side of rice and beans and a green sauce that tasted like lime. Overall excellent food. They have a good variety on the menu. The place is clean and the folks are friendly. I will return to try there whole fried fish.

I have to say the worst tasting pupusas I have tried. This was my second visit hoping the food would taste better. Not only did the pupusas de arroz taste gross but my sister and I had to sit ourselves at a table because there was no waiter in site. My sister had the tipico which brought 1 pupusa, sweet plátanos, a tamal and refried beans(served in a plastic cup) I really expected better quality and tasting food considering the fact they are located in Herndon(mini Elsalvador) The prices are decent but rather pay a little more some were else and be happy with the food and service. The horchata was good though definitely very authentic but my cebada:(…

I literally order from this place ATLEAST once a week and it’s super continent because they deliver! Oh and they have the BEST horchata hands down! I am super satisfied with this hidden little place!

There is nothing more empowering than a family owned business. I was strolling by the local resturant and was in the mood for a new experience. The customer service was great! The pupusas I selected was the pork, bean & cheese one. You could smell and taste the freshness of the ingredients used! They even offer deliver so that you can indulge their Salvadorian cuisine in the privacy of your home.

I had never heard of this restaurant until we got a menu in the mail recently. All I can say is that I’m glad we did get that menu as we liked what we saw. This restaurant is easy to miss. It’s on Grant Street in Herndon near the intersection of Elden Street. Driving up Elden Street, you won’t notice it. We were here on a Sunday night a little after 5 p.m. and already the place was doing a very brisk business. When we entered, we noticed a window that served as a take-out food spot and also where the server picked up food for those dining in. Not sure what to do, a woman behind the window told us to pick a table and the server would be with us soon. The server was the only one taking care of the dine-in customers. Plus, she did some double duty answering the phone and sometimes ringing up the take out orders. So she was run ragged some. It took her a while to bring us menus as well as take our order. Having looked at the menu already, we knew what we wanted. We noticed that in the refrigerated case, they had Inca Kola so we each ordered one. We were asked if we wanted glasses and we said we would drink it out of the bottle. For an appetizer, we chose 1 pastelito de carne(meat) to share. This came to the table piping hot and had a very generous amount of ground beef and potato cubes in it. It comes with a side of pickled cabbage and some tomato sauce for dipping. We both enjoyed this starter. The pickled cabbage was mildly flavored. The tomato sauce was pale in color and thin but offered up a bit of sweetness. For our main course, we both chose«el tipico express». This dish consists of: «One pupusa(we both chose a queso(cheese) one), 1 tamal(which was stuffed with chicken), fried plantains, sour cream and refried beans». The reason we chose this dish is that it seemed like a good way to sample a few of the menu items. The pupusa was tasty with a mild cheese. The fried plantains were perfectly cooked. We both really liked the tamal which came to the table wrapped in a corn husk. The cornmeal had a touch of sweetness and was moist with the shredded chicken adding a nice flavor. The refried beans came in a small plastic cup and they were really pureed. I never had them served that way so it was a bit disconcerting, yet all the expected flavors were there. This dish also had a small cup of the tomato sauce plus a cup of the pickled cabbage. For some reason, the pickled cabbage on my plate packed a punch when it came to spice. We both wondered why there was such an inconsistency when it came to the flavorings. We had considered ordering some dessert before we started eating. However, as the meal progressed, we realized that we weren’t going to have any room! While we were eating, there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up take out orders. Our server apologized because it took our food a bit of time to come out. We told her that it was no problem as we weren’t in a rush. When the check came, I did a double take — but in a good way! The final total was $ 21 + change before the tip! Wow — were we impressed! Some of the other Unilocalers say the pupusas are the best they ever had. Since this was our first foray into Salvadoran cuisine, we have nothing with which to compare. Still we thought the meal and the dining experience was a solid 4 stars! And, yes, we will go again!

Best papusas I’ve had so far. Large homemade and flavorful. Plus they deliver! We ate in the first time but am going to try delivery tonight. Staff was very friendly. I got a half size soup which was awesome because I had already order a lot but wanted to try a soup in this cold weather.

I found this gem, great location, but tucked away, I wouldn’t have seen it/known about it, had I not heard about it. It’s right near where I play ball 2 – 3 times a week and used to work. They deliver too with a minimum of $ 12 dollar order. I have tried several dishes.

I have tried several items(papusas and other dishes) on their menu and everything has been consistently really good. Delivery was outstanding. When I called and asked, in English, if they deliver I was quickly transferred to someone who spoke flawless English(I think he is the owner) who was super patient about my pronunciation of the menu items, very personable and helpful without being pushy or overly friendly. The prices were great, food is fantastic Central American fair and was delivered warm and fresh. I will definitely continue doing business with these folks.

They deliver! So simple yet, so brilliant!!! We love the food. The chicken nachos could feed 3, but it’s so good I end up eating it all… lol. Pupusas are amazing. Even better than the ones I cook. Only minus was the fried plantains weren’t ripe enough. I still liked them but my mom didn’t. Everything comes with the right fixings which is great too. But did I mention they deliver We’re all still jumping for joy about that… lol
