Naked Lunch

Having an amazing mixture of steamed and raw vegetables of my choosing plus quinoa and a freshly made ginger-​sesame dressing. Food here is out of this world. I feel supercharged just from eating the salad. Everything organic and healthy. Staff very polite and helpful. Highly recommend. Next to Moms Organic Market.

OMG. I have tried all that a couple of their soups and one or two of the salads. Everything has been spectacular. The service is excellent. The quality of the ingredients will blow you away. Even the juice bar, which isn’t my thing, impressed me. I wish the hours were little bit longer. But this is a must if you are looking for that healthy alternative.
They are very quick at getting their food out as well.

The sleepy town of Herndon has been in DIRE NEED of a place that tickle’s ones organic, natural, healthy, whole, and clean eating senses for a very long time. I’m speaking as a crunchy granola, Boulder, Colorado born-​and-​raised NoVA transplant who knows her way around a natural/​co-​op market and enjoys both grass-​fed free-​range beef as much as she enjoys quinoa, flax, and liquid aminos.
Conveniently housed inside and next to MOM’s Organic Market in the back of the massive Herndon Kmart Shopping Centre, Naked Lunch really is absolutely as good as it gets, and it’s the real deal. Best part? The price tag is a lot lower than I was expecting, especially for the quantity and quality of the food. It’s a simple menu full of clean, organic, whole, and fresh ingredients, and everything is made, chopped, diced, and prepped on-​site and right in front of you. It’s order-​at-​counter made-​to-​order style, so you watch your food being prepped and then pay immediately at the register.
Choose from a large selection of Organic Bowls, which are easily gluten-​free, vegan, or soy-​free, depending on your needs. They have everything from fluffy brown rice to quinoa to rice pilaf, plus plenty of vegetarian protein options. Veggies and toppings are super-​fresh (they definitely pleased my palate with their fresh, seed-​ful jalapenos!) and dressings are made on-​site with simple ingredients. The organic bowls are only about $ 8, and it easily provided both lunch and dinner for me.
Naked Lunch also offers a whole host of homemade soups, fresh-​squeezed super juices, and plenty of refrigerated canned/​bottled drinks (yay for Zevia and Steaz!). Employees are awesome — they are clearly in their element working at an organic lunch counter, and best of all, you can come in to get lunch (or dinner — they’re open until 8 every day) before or after some food shopping at MOM’s!
Food is served in compostable to-​go containers, but if you want to stay and nosh, there are two small counters at which you can sit upon some very plush chairs, plus there are outlets and USB inputs on the back wall for device charging. I’m so excited Naked Lunch is here, and walking distance from home for me. It’s definitely worth the drive if you live/​work in Herndon, Reston, Sterling, etc.
