The burger was good, the fries was a bit mushy inside. I ordered the burger with blueberry jam; the burger was a bit greasy and blueberry jam was good but it tasted weird with the burger. I thinks figs would have made a better choice. The meat was good, cooked almost to well done. Ciabatta bread was very tasty. Good for taking out and munching in the car.

«Hello, my name is E______and I am an addict…» Let me start by saying WOW!!! This freakin’ truck blew me away. Seriously good… I found Twist parked outside of Wine Expo in Santa Monica and decided to give them a try. It only took a couple of minutes to make my choice. I ordered the«Peoples Choice» burger combo. It came with sweet potato fries. The staff was super nice and the burger and fries came out pretty quick. I decided to grab some pickles and jalapenos as well as some aioli.

Twist burgers try’s to add a «twist» to burgers using out of the ordinary ingredients. Today I tried the Gorgonzola Mushroom Burger with some Sweet Potato Fries. The star of the show was definitely the fries, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The burger on the other hand, the toppings were amazing while the patties did not pop in any way. Compared to Grill Em All, or Fresh and Meaty, this truck just doesn’t cut it.

Twist Burgers catered to my company’s event, and while I can’t complain about free food, I have to say it was a very unsatisfying meal. I ordered #1 combo, which comes with the Classic Twist Burger with fries and a drink– usually $ 9.50. I cut them a bit of slack for taking so long to make my food– there were quite a lot of people in line for free food– but the quality of the food did not match the hype. The Classic Twist Burger is basically a hamburger with their ‘special sauce’- the Japanese mayo sauce. Sure, the burger tastes okay– I mean, how can you really screw up a burger– but for the supposed price, it was nowhere the quality I expected. It’s just a greasier version of In-N-Out Double-Double. The fries are decent, nothing to write home about. There are plenty of better food trucks in LA, just skip this one.

Okay going into this I would have said 2 stars based on the price alone, but then I thought about my experience. The smart worker lured us in by offering a sample of the fries, in a nice big full sized styrafome box, and they were amazing. Not so much the fries, but the Japanese Mayo sauce included. Ordered the fries and it came out and was at most 1⁄10 of the size of the nice big box our sample was ordered from. Not happy but at least the fries are good so far … Ordered the #2 burger per the recommendation. Took one bite, chewed half pretending to like it half mortified that if I didn’t another food truck would have robbed me of $ 10 tonight. I don’t understand the concept of this burger, it tastes like some weird tofu texture and nothing like beef, let alone Angus beef. McDonald’s beef patties are better. The goat cheese was crap as expected and there was some weird squishy material in the burger I did not care for. I took half a bite and that was it. Case in point: Offered this burger to my friend who is a total mooch and even he didn’t eat it! Fries: 3 Burger:(–1) False advertising:(–1) I would have normally felt generous and given it a 2 but based on the rampant review inflation going on in Unilocal a 1 is warranted to properly lower their rating as a 4 implies people would want to eat here again.

The Twist Burgers truck has added a twist to a classic American staple the burger. Everything on their menu sounds delicious. Food: I ordered the«Your Healthy Choice» burger on a Ciabatta bread roll which is made up of roasted fennel, eggplant, zucchini, and squash topped with wild mushrooms. The veggies were roasted enough to still have a good texture and crunch. I also ordered a side of shoestring fries which were delicious. Customer Service: The staff is friendly and helpful to inform you on any questions you have. Quick Tip: They take credit cards and for $ 9.50 you can get a combo.

The People’s Choice burger is similar in size and quality to a double double but the goat cheese and blueberry sauce add a delicious sweet and savory… dare I say it, Twist. If this place had a store near me, it would be more than good enough to be in my burger rotation. The fries which are seasoned similar to fries you’d find on a boardwalk near the beach are pretty good, and sometimes they will throw in some fries with your burger even if you don’t order them. I had the cheese fries which came with nacho cheese and parmesan sprinkles and they were good since I love artificial cheese. It’s almost as amazing as Umami or the Standing Room, and the burgers, fries and service are excellent so definitely deserve a try if you are into burgers. Make sure you ask for the blueberry sauce because I don’t think it comes on the burger standard.

I spotted this truck right outside the studio of Chelsea Handler. I’ve only tasted the fries and to my surprise, they had three different ones! If you order a burger combo, you get fresh cut fries of russet potatoes. Cheese fries are those thin long fries similar to McDonald’s but not tasting like it. They also have their specialty seasoned fries which looked amazing. Downside of it all is that I did not even try a single burger. So this review is solely based on their fries. I’m a potatoes type of gal.

Oh… my… fricken… goodness! I have some high standards when it comes to burgers but the burger that I had almost made my knees weak. Of course, I’m going to enjoy a burger with all of my favorite ingredients but it’s rare to find a place that is eccentric enough to make frenzy-ness in between two buns! I had The Twist Revolution which is a turkey burger, french brie, fig confit, lettuce and tomato. I substituted the french brie for goat cheese(I know, right?!) and the combination of flavors just melted in my mouth. I am salivating right now just writing this review! The only reason why I gave them only four stars is because they got pretty much everyone(in my group)‘s order wrong and we would have had them correct it if we weren’t in such a hurry.

I went to an event, and the truck was to be there until 7. No sign of them at 6:40. Very disappointed. Eek! Methinks not. I will not again waste my time, if they won’t even have the decency to be there.

A very well designed truck and you can spot it a mile away. A very BLUE food truck with a nerdy kid munching on a delicious. That kid could very well be me. It caught my eye and I had to pull over in Granada Hills to check it out. I didn’t know how they could put a «twist» on a burger, so I had to try it. I was actually hungry at the time, so I don’t usually do this frequently… I ordered the«PEOPLE’S CHOICE» I guess it’s called people’s choice for a reason. People seem to like and so do I. The patties are juicy, but what made this burger unique was the goat cheese and twist sauce. I don’t eat goat cheese very often, but it surprisingly went very well with the twist sauce. I don’t really know what the twist sauce consists of but it’s delicious! It costs about $ 10 for a burger+fries+can of soda. One of the workers will stand out in front and offer free samples of the fries. They’re delicious! Dip them in the twist sauce.

As a man who loves him some Blueberries. Bill C’s review of their burger just had me searching down this sucker because, really. a blueberry sauce on a hamburger just sounds strange. Almost, dare I say it. crazy enough to work. The end result of chasing this dragon was the taste of a hamburger with blue berry sauce and all I have to say about this is… WHYDID I NOTTHINKOFTHIS?! I mean, I’ve made some wild things. I even made my own Blueberry Vodka. So tasting this burger which, I have to admit that without the sauce would have been a sort of half way decent regular burger. But with this sauce threw it to a whole new level of amazing. You do get a choice of hamburger buns and you can go all fancy or you can simply go with the classic burger bun. I went with the classic because too many burger places seem to fall back to some sort of abnormal burger bun option that just seems to be different for the sake of being different. Service on the truck is pretty damn cool. I have to say that they are really friendly and really, this may not top my love for Grill Em All truck, but that truck is so high on a pedestal that I doubt much can come close to it. But for my money, I will be back to this truck. If not soon enough to have more blueberry goodness.

I ordered the angus prime all beef hot dog for my boys. The bread and hot dog combo are delicious. The bread taste like King’s Hawaiin sweet bread. You don’t need to add condiments to this dog because the sweet bread compliments it just right. Extra star for free fries, which I did not order. My family and I always enjoy free food. Keep up the good work Twist Burgers.

Its hard for me to give Twist Burger only three stars, even though three stars isn’t bad at all, the lady who worked there was so nice and friendly, she could get 5 stars on her own. I got The People’s Choice, and the lady told me it was her favorite. For some odd reason, I assumed the special sauce was the blueberry sauce, and its not, so don’t be an idiot like me(I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who would make that mistake anyways). I also got the Classic Double Twist with wild mushrooms and gorgonzola for my boyfriend. They were out of ciabatta bread, and the lady recommended the flat bread. My hamburger was good, the goat cheese was nice, even though it also had american cheese on it as well, this led to the goat cheese being less pronounced. The special sauce was like a thousand island esque sauce and it was tasty. The hamburger had two patties, but they are not overwhelmingly huge. All in all I really felt like I was eating an In&Out burger, which I think are delicious, but also cost about $ 3 less. My boyfriend’s hamburger didn’t have the gorgonzola I ordered, it did have some mushrooms, but it by no means was overflowing, and american cheese(I think they put this on every burger maybe?) I think he liked it, but wasn’t overwhelmed. I think what makes Twist Burger spectacular is its interesting list of ingredients, so don’t make the same mistake I made, and get crazy with the toppings. I would like to try it again, but am not going to activley seek it out As a side note, their menu is a little confusing to me, as they have two burgers that are very similar to each other, and the option to add any toppings to any burgers, maybe I’m just dense. But they do take credit cards!

Man, just as the Monkees sang, I’m a believer… I am a believer of Twist burger! I looked out my window 1 day and saw 2 food trucks parked in the back lot(The Dumpling Truck and Twist Burgers) and thought… hmm, should I do dumplings or burgers? And I decided on the burger and it’s a GREAT burger. I picked the Classic Twist with a side of fries and when I bit into I had like flashbacks of my 1st kiss, my 1st time riding a bike, my 1st time… anyway, I’m exaggerating a bit but I’m just saying it’s pretty good. The bun is super soft, the mean is a GREAT quality… but if I had any gripe it’s a tad bit expensive and the flavors sometimes don’t vibe together too well… sometimes the meat gets lost in the mix of the Twister sauce, the aioli sauce and the mushrooms are marinated int some kinda concoction so those little fellas and a texture and flavor that sorts covers the meat. All in all it it’s a good burger and worth a try.

It’s good, but you taste more of the sauce that they put in the burger than the actual meat itself. The combo #1 is $ 9.50 and comes with your choice of burger, fries and a drink. I got the People’s Choice burger which comes with goat cheese and I added caramelized onions to it. You can choose from a choice of toppings to add on such as Wild Blueberry sauce, mushrooms, onions, figs, and pickles. They also have«dressing» in squeeze bottles that you can apply to your burger. The Japanese dressing is basically mayo with wasabi mixed in. Overall, a bit overpriced, but a solid burger. 3.5 stars.

I ordered the Classic Double Twist and without a doubt, it was the best blueberry/hamburger I have ever eaten. I want to give chef Jorge props not just for serving up this awesome burger, but for even thinking it up in the 1st place. The Wild Blueberry Sauce is not just amazing, it is IN-EFFING-CREDIBLYAMAZING. It is moist, warm, sweet, and has the proper adhesive qualities to sit between the burger and the bun. If I was the first to review, I might have passed on it, but I want to thank Roxxan R, Sean W, and Blair W for prodding me to try it. As for the rest of the burger; it was pretty good too. There were 2 Angus patties, and while Angus likes to market itself as an exclusive upscale brand, in my eyes it is nothing more than a sign that they aren’t using the really low-end crap that’s on the dollar menu. The menu said the burger also came with iceberg lettuce and tomato, and I got that and more, Along with the iceberg, there were some other greens including arugula. They were better than the iceberg, but that;s because instead of a leaf, I got the spine from the center of the head. Not only did it not add flavor, it misshaped the sandwich. There are three bread options and I chose the flat bread over the ciabatta or hamburger bun. The flat bread wasn’t quite strong enough given the misshapen lettuce but I think a good piece of ciabatta would hold up just fine, One other negative; they have not complied with the City of Los Angeles law that requires a sign stating«No Smoking Within 40 feet of a Food Truck». They can download one here– In spite of the negatives, they still earn 5 stars. The burger was that good. Gourmet Food Truck #148 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in «So Cal»

Pretty yummy/interesting burgers. I ordered the people’s choice(because I thought it just had 1 patty versus the double twist – which obviously has 2). I was a little cautious about the blueberry sauce, so I asked for it on the side. The cook however did not agree with that and put it on the burger. Still skeptical, I decided to try it anyway and it was good. I also had caramelized onions which added to the sweet/savory thing. Overall a very good burger. A few things to note: The People’s Choice also comes with 2 patties so if you’re a small portioned eater beware. Also this burger is EXTREMELY messy. Carl’s Jr. step aside because these babies«get all over the place.» ps. if you say«SALCHI-PAPAS» you get a free side of fries! (but beware the cheese fries – they have the nacho cheese sauce like 7-Eleven or if you went to a socal highschool, like the cafeteria cheese fries) Won’t be coming here everyday(gotta watch that figure), but definitely for a treat every now and then.

«Hi Sir. Our special today is a blueberry goat cheese burger. Trust me, it works.» Say what? I trusted him. And it worked. Beautifully. The double patty burger was seasoned perfectly, tomato and lettuce were fresh and perfectly assembled, and the special sauce was a definite notch above the usual thousand island variation. How was the blueberry chevre compote, you ask? Perfect. Tart, sweet and creamy to balance the savoriness of the beef and crispness of the vegetables. The fries were also really good. Pencil width, crispy on the outside and hot. Accompanying the fries were several dipping sauces they had on the counter for you to pour. Sun dried tomato mayonnaise, jalapeño mayonnaise, Aioli, and yes, ketchup. My only minor complaint is that the menu layout is slightly confusing. They have lists of «toppings» and«cheese» including wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, Gorgonzola, Brie, goat cheese, etc., but it was unclear if these toppings could be added to the existing burgers on the menu(and it was unclear the cost of doing so), or if you could build your own burger from scratch with these ingredients. A food truck well worth following.
