Lobster mac and cheese was super good. Huge chunks of lobster meat piled on top.

I was weary of trying lobster rolls at a food truck, mainly because of the high price, I wanted something authentic, fresh, and we’ll crafted for that type of money. If you have not tried a lobster roll before, this food truck hits ALL of those marks. It is worth every penny and if you like lobster you will not regret it! The amount of lobster they put on a roll, felt equivalent to a whole lobster. You can taste butter from the poaching, and it’s complimented well(but not over powered) with spices. I didn’t have to add a single thing! If you’re at all hesitant like I was, I would recommend it highly.

Food truck lobster… Oh my. Definitely spoon-fed suspicious. But I tried it because lobster. And wow! The Crab Cakes are more crab and way less breading than expected. Props for using snow crab. The Lobster Sliders were great! Wish I’d gotten at least ten more. Lots of lobster in each roll, cold, fresh chunks. And the Hawaiian sweet rolls were the best part. Highly recommend!

I pretty much love Roll’n Lobster. I go to First Friday’s in Venice just to go to this food truck. The lobster roll is a good size and the lobster tastes so fresh. I always go with a side of fries and as a meal, the two items are more than enough. They also have lobster sliders, lobster mac and cheese, crab cakes, clam chowder, etc. I would Not recommend the lobster mac and cheese. While they aren’t stingy with the lobster, the mac and cheese is not good. So, I tend to stick with what works for me and that’s the lobster roll with fries for $ 16.

This food truck was in downtown San Pedro at the Hot Import Nights show along with other trucks. I got the lobster slides which were three of them on Hawaiian bread style roll w/lettuce which was very yummy. I was gonna get a lobster roll but decided on the sliders instead. Would get them again.

This is my favorite food truck ever. They serve a Connecticut Roll that is out of this world. I go out of my way to track these guys online so I can make a special trip. All of the ingredients are first-rate. I wish there were a sit-down restaurant where I could get a lobster roll this good in SoCal!

Just had my first«EV-AHH!» New England style Lobster Roll from the Roll’n Lobster and it was so good! I also ordered the clam chowder which was some of the best I’ve had. The chowder was a tiny bit on the salty side, but most foods are too salty to me, so please take that with a grain of… well, you know. Otherwise it was all fantastic. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Thanks, Roll’n Lobster!

Met the owner, Pete from, well, somewhere near«Bawston»…he makes a damn fine Connecticut style lobster roll. I also had some special Ipswich clams that were fried. Incredibly sweet and tender, a rare treat indeed, especially on the west coast. He’s selling franchises in case you had an urge to own an east coast themed lobster business on wheels. He has his Maine lobsters flown in daily, where he drives the truck up to LAX every day. Pretty impressive.

$ 13 for three lobster sliders. Each slider had only about three pieces of solid lobster covered with a sweet mayo dressing, the sliders also had one lonely piece of lettuce which really didn’t add anything to the slider. The lettuce was very take it or leave it. The sliders were the size of the King Hawaiian rolls they were on. They weren’t small but they weren’t big either. If I were to price this item I wouldn’t pay more than $ 2 a piece making the total meal $ 6. Great flavor but for a very costly price.

I really liked Roll’n Lobster with the exception being that the lobster roll is very small. I will say that they make their sides a bit bigger to compensate for the small roll. We both ordered the regular lobster roll, one with clam chowder and one with fries. The fries were awesome. The clam chowder was good — definitely not something out of a can. Our whole bill came to $ 35 pre-tip. I understand that the lobster is flown in fresh and that is why it’s so expensive(and small) but I found myself hungry a couple hours later. Because of this, I would say this is a lunch meal and not a dinner one.

Awesome Lobster Roll!!! Now I’ve never had lobster roll in Maine so I can’t compare. But Roll’n Lobster Food Truck’s lobster roll is the bomb! Soft, toasted and buttered bun stuffed with lots of cold and chunky lobster. It taste fresh and the meat is a bit sweet. I had the CONNECTICUT style, which means the lobster meat is naked(no mayo dressing) and drizzled with hot butter ^_^. Siiiggghhh soooo delicious! Price is expensive. I spent $ 18 for the lobster roll with a side of fries. It’s worth it though. Service is great. The man who took my order was very nice and polite. I recommend it! I highly recommend it!!!

I’m drooling as I think about this yummy Lobster Roll that I had Friday Night. I got the Connecticut as to not confuse the lobster with all that mayo mess and man was it good. The roll it’s serve in is just impeccable. I’d like 12 of them just to snack on, no lobster required. I end up running into this truck in a few places: in Westchester and on Abbot Kinney(both First Fridays events). For a hearty delicious lobster roll that won’t disappoint stop by for some yummy goodness.

I am an east coaster. I know lobster rolls. This truck is legit. I had the standard and it was perfect. I recommend washing it down with the cactus cooler soda. They also couldn’t be nicer. When my daughter spilled hers by mistake, they saw it and gave her another. Gratis. Great food, great people.

I love seafood! all of it! There was a food truck event and Roll N’ Lobster caught my attention. The Connecticut roll was $ 15.00, I went during my lunch so this was definitely a splurge. The roll had regular lobster with clarified butter on top a delicious buttery baguette which was heaven. The roll was pretty small considering the price, the lobster was ok, I grew up in the coast of Mexico so I’m used to having fresh lobster which is probably why I wasn’t crazy for it. The french fries were $ 3.00 so the meal was almost $ 20.00! call me cheap but I like to spend less than $ 10.00 for lunch. The roll was good but I will not go out of my way to get it.

Roll & Chawda Got the Lobster Roll, bowl of chowder & coke for $ 19. I thought it was a hot dog bun, but turned out to be something like Texas toast with a hole cut for the lobster. It was good, so was the Chowder. Definitely had better, but a-ok. I do think that it was a bit pricey & tad slow in service. What was the wait for? The lobster was cold, soup was pre-made…

Tried this place at First Fridays in Venice. Got the $ 15 Connecticut lobster sandwich, which is the classic lobster roll with butter. Great buttery toast with fresh big chunks of lobster and nice friendly service. I don’t know why this place has mediocre reviews but I liked the food here! I’ll definitely get it again next time I see it rolling around.

They see me roll’n they hat’n tryin catch me rid’n dirrrrtay $ 15 for Connecticut lobster sandwhich — fresh lobster on a leaf of lettuce on top for a lightly toasted bread roll with hot butter poured over it. Squeeze some lemon juice on top and its heaven! Better than Lobsta Truck but also pricier but 2 or 3 bucks. Between the two I’d still go with Roll’n and pay the difference. 3 stars because $ 15 is out of reach in terms of value. Throw in a soda and some a pinch of fries for that price and you’ll see these stars go up and I predict more volume in sales.

Overall 3.4 stars for Roll’n Lobster Food Truck I’ve never tried lobster rolls from food trucks before, but I’m not going to be rounding up the stars on my review based on info that’s available for similar truck businesses such as Cousins Maine Lobster, Lobsta Truck and Wink’s Lobster and Seafood. FOODRATING: 3. 25 stars $ 15 Connecticut roll(3 stars) *Everything was fresh from the lobster meat, bread and butter. The issue I had was that the meat seemed quite soft and the texture of the bread was soft as well — I really wanted a bit more contrast in textures. $ 13 for Three Lobster«Slidahs» on Hawaiian sweet rolls(3.5 stars). *I wasn’t full, so I decided to give it another a shot and had these. The sweet and slightly chewy Hawaiian rolls provided a nice flavor and texture contrast with the lobster meat lightly dressed with mayo and finely chopped veggies and herbs. I liked these better than the Connecticut roll. SERVICE: 5 stars This was the only food truck located at Rosenthal Wine Bar and Patio on a Sunday afternoon and I was starving. Since I ordered my food before the crowds arrived, the person who took my order was very pleasant and even delivered the food to my table on the patio. I really appreciated the service and gave a 15% tip. VALUE: 2 stars I’ve looked into the pricing of other trucks offering lobster items and this one’s significantly higher.($ 15 for a Connecticut lobster roll, when others are offering it in a price range of $ 12 to $ 13) NOTE: Check out the blackboard on their truck for specials of the day and for deals. SUMMARY: A-ok as a meal by default, but it really put a dent in my wallet. If you encounter this truck at a food festival or at another venue, be sure to consider your options.
