Nice place very cozy. Food is really good. Tenderloins are big and huge hot wings. Homemade chips are to die for. Denifently will come back.

It was a Friday night and I needed to watch my Blues! Enter Concert Hall and Barrel Bar. The place was a little noisy(but what do you expect from a bar). I really appreciated the number of TVs. We were lucky that during most of our dinner, we were able to plop ourselves in front of the giant TV in the dining area next to the bar. In terms of drinks, they serve many of the Hermann wines. They are pretty cheap(particularly for the bottle). I ordered a bottle of Chardonnel(which I ended up corking and taking home). I also had the Strawberry Long Island, as well as another glass of red wine that I cannot remember(both about $ 5 each). The Strawberry Long Island was way too sweet, but still drinkable. In terms of food, we ordered the mac and cheese balls, the pretzel sticks, and chicken tenders. All were delivered hot and pretty quickly. I enjoyed all of these appetizers and was pleased with how cheap they were. In terms of service, I thought our server was very attentive all night(despite how busy it was). In sum, definitely a great place to watch a game on a Friday night.

Decent food at great prices. Ros was our server and did a good job. The owners dad — fat short guy with cowboy hat — was hugely rude. As bad of treatment as I have ever received in a restaurant. I would avoid this place due to him — he is that bad. Several regulars said he is like that all the time.

Food was mediocre, service was dismal. Great place to watch a game, other than that don’t waste your time.

Not a huge fan after experiencing slow service and a very noisy atmosphere. Food was good, I had a German dish, which was pretty good, but when I get sour cream in a packet v. A bowl, that down grades the ambience of my meal a lot!

Average bar food. Flat — and in the case of a couple bottles we ordered, expired — beer. Worst of all, the restaurant still allows smoking. Completely off-putting. And we didn’t know smokers could light up until after we’d sat down and ordered beer and food. Avoid this joint. No need to go in unless you enjoy smelling like stale smoke when you walk out.

After an afternoon of wine tasting I needed to eat. The bartender was very friendly. The menu was plentiful. Since I am on a burger kick, I got the Swiss mushroom burger without the bun. This burger was huge and did not disappoint, it was tasty every bite full. I got the sweet potatoes fries, the right sized portions and the prices were even better.

Worst. Service. EVER! After being seated it took literally 45 minutes for any waitress to even acknowledge our existence. Once she came over it was another half hour before we got our drinks. We asked to speak to a manager and he said this kind of service was normal. The food was okay but the service was extremely disappointing! Not worth a visit!

We were skeptical when we walked in and there was no hostess and smoking in the bar area. The food was exceptional! We are only giving it 4 stars because of the smoke smell and the lack of hostess.

Supposedly«The oldest continuously operating tavern West of the Mississippi River», this is a fun spot in historic Hermann. I always enjoy myself when I go here. Probably been 10 times in the last few years. The food is affordable & delicious. My husband likes the steak sandwich, pizza, and frog legs. I enjoy the burgers and salads. There is a bar area with seating and a jukebox which can get loud. There is also a restaurant side, which is a bit quieter. It’s a fun spot and definitely recommend you stop by if you’re in Hermann. You can also get you food to go.

We went in a very quiet night in town, so there wasn’t much of a crowd-which made the VERY loud guy in the bar that much more noticeable. Though he was unpleasant, the food was very good, the drinks were locally crafted selections and were delicious. The service was attentive and energetic. Definitely recommended if you’re in town!

Very mediocre food but the prices are also very reasonable. Kind of a cool place. Fulton has a nice downtown and is worth a visit. The booths are probably original and and maybe add to the ambiance but are super small an uncomfortable.

This bar was far less smoky than some of the other Hermann bar fare. We stopped in for a beer and an app and wound up having the frog legs. They were pretty good for frog legs. We drank a draft beer each from the local Tin Mill Brewing Co. This place was your typical small Missouri town dive bar. There was a juke box but no pool table. The crowd was a bit older and less rowdy than some of the other Hermann bars. This place is good if you just want a nice drink and not a loud crowd.

Will I go back? Maybe. The food was decent but not off the charts good. The value for the portion size is lacking though. I ordered the Bratwurst Sampler platter that came with two brats, sweet and sour red slaw, and German potato salad. I was disappointed that the brats came sans bun. They were good but nothing that I can’t get at a local deli at home. The potato salad and slaw was excellent. The service was slightly below average and a tad slow. My tea glass sat empty for a good time and it took a while to get our order placed and then brought to our table. In addition, it was a Saturday afternoon and the front bar area was full. One patron asked for the television channel to be changed from the ballgame I was watching to a football game. I was disappointed that they would allow one person to change the channel without checking with the rest of the patrons. I’ve been in other sports bars that handle this situation much better.

We hit them hard at noon on a Friday with 24 drinking and hungry women. Food was great, Cathy was our waitress and she killed it. She was as fast as she could be given the situation and didn’t mess up one order. We went back that night to drink and hang out. Only complaint, music on the«patio». Prices are great, atmosphere great, Cathy was great! :)

This is a pretty cool bar. Went here for a rehearsal dinner in early July. The food ham and string beans was just ok. The portions were tiny and they never served me dessert. No biggie, but cost them a star. The bar is awesome. They still allow smoking inside which is weird to see as a New Yorker. The drink prices are beyond fair and the bar tender Hoyt was a great guy. I would love to come back again if I am ever in Hermann.

Above norm bar food served by friendly wait staff. Best menu offering is Midnight Whistle Doppel Bock draft beer. The Reuben Sandwich is decent. French fries not so much. Cod sandwich is good too. Large seating capacity and mostly older set with few unruly kids. We try to hit it when we’re in Hermann.

This is the oldest continually operating tavern west of the Mississippi. The bar tender, Michael, was friendly, fast and mixes a great drink. The food is good and of ample size . The décor is fascinating and displayed many old signs from the past… Hamm’s Beer with it’s cute bears, old Budweiser signs, Pabst’s Blue Ribbon, to name a few. The bar itself was very old and held some bottles from the past.

Just what you expect from a small town in central MO. On a Saturday night, service was very slow. We were there 15min before the waitress came by with menus. It was great people watching though with the mixture of city-oriented tourists and rural community members. The food was less than memorable — got a grilled chicken filet that was not spicy at all though the name implied some cajun aspect. They do have Tin Mill beer on tap, so we got to sample some of the local brew, which was a nice addition. Sat in the restaurant part, which I would recommend over the noisier, crowded bar area.
