My husband & I went here for the first time on Valentine’s Day(I know, late right?!) but it was fabulous. From the atmosphere to the food, it was awesome & so different than anywhere else on Main Street. I had lasagna & I think my hubby had a lobster linguine special which were both exceptional as were the beautiful drink specials. Great hospitality from the owner & bartender/server. If you want to get fancy & go out this is the place for you!

I’m not sure how anyone could give this place anything less than 5 stars. The food, atmosphere, and service was incredible. We were on the street and looking for a place that could accommodate 4 adults, 4 teenagers, and 2 toddlers. We had no reservations anywhere, but the friendly staff here took us to the private room upstairs where we had 3 or 4 people immediately bringing us water and bread and dipping oil… The service was prompt and attentive. Our main server was Alejandro. I had the Caesar salad and then asked for a seasonal vegetable plate. Both were spot on. I was really impressed after being disappointed the night before at another local restaurant. My wife had the special, the snapper, and the rest of the table had some type of seafood related pasta dishes. Almost everyone ate everything on their plate. They did not have a kids menu, but we did not expect that they would. They accommodated us by giving the kids a large portion of bow tie Alfredo for each of the kids at a very reasonable price. While we were there, we ate, we laughed, we were attended to, and we really enjoyed the experience. This place is so great, even the owner stopped by to make the kids smile and to thank us for coming in. Thanks.

Renzo and his staff took very good care of us. We really enjoyed visiting with Renzo and our meal was very good. We had the lasagne and mahi mahi. We finished that with a tiramisu and cappuccino.

The most beautiful authentic Italian restaurant I have ever been to! The service was very attentive and friendly, the food came immediately and was delicious & melts right in your mouth and the desserts were so fresh! The owner was very professional and friendly as well. We went twice in a week and every time we went, we were never disappointed. This restaurant is not a 5 star it deserves to be a 10 star! Very highly recommended.

I went out for an early dinner and I wanted a nice Italian meal. We were promptly seated and given menus. We were asked if we wanted appetizers and were told that there was a special on mussels. We agreed that we would get the mussels and our waiter went to I guess put in the order. It took a good ten minutes for them to bring out bread. Not having seen any sign of mussels we agreed the waiter had forgotten about them. Once we got our meals, a salad and pasta for the two of us, they were uninteresting looking and bland. My friend is allergic to gluten and after asking specifically for no gluten or croutons in her salad, there were croutons mixed into her salad. I got the special pasta for the night, the gnocchi. The waiter acted like it was so great and the flavours were all combined and he talked about the garlic and the olives in it. However, this gnocchi was overcooked, bland, and kind of gross. I could have made better gnocchi in my microwave at home with some canned pasta sauce. Needless to say we were glad to finally leave. The meal was somewhat cheap and the interior is weird and confusing. We never got our mussels.

So much fun! My husband took me here on valentines day. The ambiance is nice with an authentic Italian feel. I ordered the fish stew and boy was it amazing. My husband ordered the filet and he is still bragging about it. We will be back! Oh, also the Italian margarita was delicious!!!

My girlfriend and I went here for a romantic Valentine’s dinner. It was certainly a night to remember! The table was wobbly and I was given the wrong menu. The waiter completely forgot our wine choice due to his long chitchats with a neighboring table. He never brought bread before our meal, but he did step on my foot on the way to take our orders, so it was nice to have some contact even if it was undesired. Halfway through the meal, he offered us bread. It never came of course, but the gesture of offering it was nice! The best thing about this place was getting to leave. No person who respects themselves should ever come here! The food was okay(not worth the price) and the red wine was too cold.

Had a chance to try this wonderful restaurant the other night. My mother and I enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service. I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection with delightful flavor. My mother had the veal and was delighted with it. The service and food were a hidden gem in Hendersonville. Definitely will be back again.

My wife and I joined friends at Renzo’s last Friday night and it lead to this review. We moved to Hville in April and had not gone to Renzo’s. I had read some bad reviews and I wished I had not because we have missed out on some great food. The food, pork roast for me and the mushroom risotto for the wife were outstanding. One of our friends had the lobster risotto and raved about it. The salads split for us and plenty for 2, came out very fast, drinks and bread just as quick. We had a great table for 6 in a corner at the front and it was very cozy. Our server was great and the owner introduced himself which I thought was a nice touch. To top it off all the wives received a complimentary biscotti. Prices are not cheap but what you would expect for a 5 star restaurant. We will return soon.

I had the opportunity to dine here solo, as my wife had other dinner plans. Seated at the bar, I enjoyed a delightful meal, and great conversation with the staff. Definitely Renzo’s is on the path to achieving its potential as the classiest, and perhaps the best, up-scale Italian restaurant in WNC, if not NC. The cuisine was excellent, fresh ingredients, nicely presented. The bar is as classy as any you’ll find anywhere. The owner made it a point to stop by. The place was busy for a December Thursday in HVL, so I believe Renzo has a following. It’s marvelous to see the blossoming of several fine new restaurants in downtown HVL.

I travel often and I’m always seeking a peaceful and inviting place to have a delicious meal. It’s so rare. That’s why I was so glad I found Renzos. What a lovely place. Friendly. Gorgeous. Fresh. Delighful. They have private space for intimate dining or group events. Right in the heart of charming Hendersonville. Go this week.

If you are looking for delicious and authentic Italian cuisine in Hendersonville, then Renzo’s is the place to go. Last night my wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat downtown and she said she wanted to try it out. As we got out of our car we overheard some people leaving the restaurant raving about how good it was. We thought, well this is promising. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess who sat us promptly. She was very welcoming, and she asked where we were from. We appreciated that she seemed to geniunely care about starting our dining experience off with a true sense of hospitality. Both the menu and the food was simple, straight-forward, and tasty. They avoided the pretentiousness that most higher end restaurants succumb to. Our wine paired with our appetizer and entrees very well, and was fairly priced. The owner Renzo was visible and interactive with all of his customers during our time there. In a time when most dining experiences are very inpersonal and rushed, it was amazing to eat in an atmosphere that was the exact opposite. The only thing that out did the food was the service. Renzo’s is a very warm and hospitable restaurant, and we can’t wait to go back.

Have eaten Italian food in Italy and many other countries all over the world. The meals at Renzo belongs to the best I have eaten at. The food was exquisite, was still hot when served and the waiting staff was very attentive, friendly and knowledgable. Whenever I’ll be back in Hendersonvile in the future, I will make a point to dine here again! I also loved that they concentrate on organic, locally resourced food supplies. Molto bene!

Spent a week in Hendersonville, had a lot of great meals. This was not one of them… Food was average at best and not worth the one hour 15 minute wait. They were out of the two menu items we ordered as well.

We have eaten here one’s before and the food was excellent but the service was poor, well this time the service was better and the food was ok. I hope they get it right because they have what it takes.

Originally I didn’t come here because of the reviews, but I was invited and now had to go. My impression is unlike those who reviewed this restaurant. Staff, they were attentive and great. The food came out fast, almost to fast. And, the food was good. I had the mussels and they were fine. The lobster risotto was excellent too. Well, I don’t think it’s me, maybe them. I’d come here again.

If I based the stars on the food alone I would have given it five stars. The filet was cooked perfectly! I had the lobster with risotto and it was very good as well. The service was ok… it’s definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for a quick meal. It is a dining experience that is relaxed with a no rush vibe. I have recommended this restaurant since our visit and we will go back.

Heard on the golf course a few days ago that there is a new Italian restaurant, named Lorenzo’s on Main Street in Hendersonville. Had great hopes that this place would become a new favorite of mine. The décor and the atmosphere are pleasant and the service was very good for a Tuesday evening. The food and wine were okay, but not outstanding and in comparison to many other attractive restaurants about 25% overpriced. We were two adults. Ordered one Tuna Nicoise salad and a pork tenderloin dish as entrees @ $ 24 each. The bill, excluding tips, came to over $ 80 and included a cocktail, a glass of white wine, one coffee @ $ 4.50 and one dessert. Whether or not this relatively new restaurant will survive, I cannot say, but I certainly won’t go there again.

We dropped in on a whim, without doing any«research» first. I am glad that we did. Had I read the Unilocal reviews first, we probably never would have gone. The food was good and we received attentive service. Serving size was adequate, not large. Everyone was very nice. However, I got the impression that our server was going out of the way to pad the bill. We came in for a quick, light dinner– this is really more of a fine dining establishment. When we ordered wine by the glass, another wine was recommended as «better», and«only a couple dollars more.» When we got the bill, the wine was double the price per glass. We ordered coffee at the end of the meal and were brought two(one for each of us) presses. We are avid coffee drinkers; BUT, one was more than enough for two. If we ever returned, I would prepare for a fine dining experience(bring the big checkbook), stick with my first wine choice, and be very specific when ordering. One smoked salmon fettuccine, one salad nicois, one shared dessert and coffee with two glasses of wine– $ 112.00, with 20% tip. It wasn’t THAT good.
