West Coast Cabinets and Countertops

I contracted westcoast cabinets to install granite and countertops. These guys caused a leak in the kitchen through their negligence and prematurely damaging the wood. They are not willing to accept liability for this. Moreover, they did not pre-​inspect the granite before installing. There is a big black mark, 3 inches by 3 inches that seems so out of place and makes it so awfully ugly. They are saying it is natural and they cannot do anything about it. They said if I wanted to replace that spot of granite, it will cost more.
Sent an e-​mail to the owner, John, asking for an extended warranty on the wood due to the leak and a partial refund on the granite and there has been no response.
Currently, using my credit card to dispute and will use small claims court to pursue this.

We had a great experience with this company! That is not to say that there were not a few hiccups along the way, but every hiccup was handled professionally and promptly. We ordered new cabinets for our kitchen and three bathrooms from John about two weeks before our house closed and we received the keys. Our goal was to get the house fixed up in time for a party 30 days after we took possession. Adan did a great job working around the painters and floor installers to keep things moving fast. The job came out beautiful and I would not hesitate to recommend John and his crew.
The prices were very competitive, the installation was on time and professional, the minor details were addressed timely and our kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful.

John was awesome! We worked with him and his team and we couldn’t be happier with the final product. Adan installed the cabinets, and his attention to detail was very much appreciated. He treated it like it was his own home. Didn’t take long at all for full demo, installed cabinets and counter-​tops. There was a small hiccup with the countertop install, but John was there immediately to make sure everything was how we wanted it. My dad is a contractor and I grew up around kitchen remodels. John and his team were excellent!

I am very happy we hired West Coast to install granite countertops in the kitchen we were remodeling. Joe helped us in the showroom, showing us samples of granite available. It wasn’t a huge selection, but it was pretty and we were able to coordinate with paint samples we’d brought with us. After selecting our material & edge style, he gave us a rough estimate of what it’d cost. It was cheaper to get granite (with a 4″ backsplash included) from West Coast than laminate countertops from Lowe’s! He came by the house later in the afternoon to get exact measurements and to put together an exact quote. The next day he emailed a quote that was almost exactly what he’d estimated in the shop the day before. Impressive. Turnaround time to installation was about 10 days, with Christmas and New Years falling in between. It’s gorgeous. The only hiccup we had was a little confusion regarding when it’d be installed. I was a little too, «Oh whenever is good for you guys…» So I was a little surprised when I went to bed early on a Sunday night and awoke early the next day to a message from Angel, the installer, saying he’d be over at 8am. Luckily I didn’t have anything going on that morning. I love walking into my new kitchen. Again, it’s gorgeous. Joe, thanks for helping us pick a great granite at a great price and for catering to me and my out-​of-​state mama. I’ll definitely call you guys again when I’m done with med school and ready to upgrade our next home as well!

Don’t waste your time. First, we went to their store to look at countertops with interest in having cabinets done also. One person was there, Josh who didn’t know much. Based on dimensions I provided, the price for the counters would be $ 2,500 according to him. The owner John Joshes dad, came to my mom’s house and told us his kid was wrong and he would give us the quote for the entire job in a few days. Thirty minutes after he left, I had a question and called, but only could leave a message. I called again in a couple more hours and could only leave a message again. That was three weeks ago and he hasn’t called back. To me, that’s rude and not good business.

There is a 3 inch over hang on my cabinets that looks awful. They gave the cheapest bid for a reason… their work is terrible. The owner swore that this overhang was ‘industry standard’ as other contractors disagreed. Do yourself a favor and pay 10% more somewhere else and get better quality work.

These guys are awesome! Their cabinets are the least expensive that you can find anywhere and they look amazing!!! We redid our whole kitchen, including granite countertops for less than half of what other people were going to charge. When they (1 guy) come to install, it is done quickly and perfectly, and in my case, in just 1 day. I cannot say enough good things about everyone at West Coast Cabinets. If you need new cabinets or counters call them. They could not be friendlier or more helpful.
