The Sleep Center is a sleep study lab owned and operated by Dr. Narala/Desert Cardiology next door. The lab consists of 4 bedrooms that look just like a hotel bedroom, including TVs with DirecTV, and a central monitoring/control room where the tech can monitor all 4 patients from. On both of my visits the tech was friendly, made conversation and even answered any remaining questions I had about the study. Once he wires you up, you’re free to go to sleep, or complete any typical bedtime routines you have(TV, reading, etc) until you’re ready for bed. When the study is completed, generally between 5:00 and 6:00 am, the tech will wake you up, unwire you and send you on your way. It typically takes about 2 weeks to get the results of the study. The bed is surprisingly comfortable but make sure you’re extra sleepy when you come in because it was kind of hard for me to fall asleep knowing that it was part of a test/study and that someone was watching me the whole time and monitoring my brain/breathing activity.
