This place has only been open 2 weeks. I saw them when we stopped by the bank over the weekend and came by to get a to go order. They definitely have enough staff for the small restaurant. While I waited for food, there were a few other customers. I asked for green iced tea to go, which was pretty weak and basically tasted like water. I ordered whole scallop sushi(was happy to see that on the menu), mackerel sushi, yellowtail sushi, and a spicy salmon handroll. Well…I may have to give them another chance, but the scallops did not have the abductor muscle removed, which means — uncleaned and this muscle is chewy and typically inedible… red flag! The mackerel, my test of a good sushi place, was chewy and dry. The rice was okay, a little too much wasabi. The surprise here was I got yellowtail belly cuts for the hamachi, so that was a +1. The handroll looked rather scary in the container, mushed and not overly filled, but the filling was tasty(they used chile oil). I wish they had made it last so the nori would be fresher. Handroll + 6 pieces nigiri + iced green tea = $ 19.40 with tax.
