Hidden within a Green Valley ‘hood, close to Paseo Verde Park. A small neighborhood park that has a walking path, grill area, basketball court and play equipment. There are nice grassy areas and the park is well maintained. If you’re walking the paths from Paseo Verde Park, this is a nice detour before heading on to «greener» pastures. And no one will ask for your GVR credentials(because that isn’t a thing, right?) to utilize the park.

A TINYPARKRATED A HIGH4STARS What can I say about friendship? I can say a few paragraphs worth about a park named friendship. Friendship Park is an attractive miniature Park in the Green Valley Ranch Master Planned Community. My Cardio Trainer workout statistics shows the distance from Paseo Verde at Valley Verde Parkways intersection to Friendship Park at 0.8 miles. If you are walking from the Paseo Verde at Valle Verde Smith’s-Starbuck’s Shopping Center, this is the route. Walking South on Valle Verde Parkway, you want to cross the signal at Paseo Verde Parkway. Then you will make an immediate right on the dual pathway that is parallel to Paseo Verde Parkway. This is the unsigned Paseo Verde Trail. You will pass the north borderline of Paseo Verde Parkway. This is a closer parking lot to Friendship Park. You keep walking til you see a spur unpaved trail to the left. In approximately a .0.20 of a mile after the second Street crossing(minor residential streets) you will enter the tiny Friendship Park. Friendship Park provides numerous amenities. They include : * Playground * Basketball court * Barbecue grills * Picnic tables * Table checkers at nearby Searlet Sunset Park * Streetlighting * Connected to GVR trails * Grassy lawn * At the time of writing no graffiti One amenity missing is a parking lot. That is intentional. The park is designed as a neighborhood park. However when it is used with the Paseo Verde Trail it serves a broader population. Today as I was exercising along the Paseo Verde Trail I was exercising off the beaten path to experience the spur trails and miniature parks. Between Paseo Verde and Discovery Parks I deviated from my Green Valley Bound direction(east) to experience the non-American northbound well landscaped unpaved trail between the well-kept houses. Around 0.20 miles later, I entered Friendship Park. The park reminds me of a speakeasy in the sense that it is a nice place that takes effort to find. The no-name spur trail is the gateway to the park. On account of the fact that the park is relatively unknown outside theimmediate neighborhood it was a serene spot. Friendship reaches out to laid-back individuals. It is the place for them to read a book, enjoy a picnic, watch the birds, and maybe write a review. Attractive landscaping graces the golf course green ground. Green light posts compliment the canopy of mature trees, grass, and light posts bordering the Green Valley Ranch trail system. An attractive basketball court in a carpet of green and blues elevates a basketball field to a picture postcard. At the far end of the park is a modern playground covered with sand. I rate Friendship Park four stars in the miniature park category. It is a neighborhood Park that is worth visiting with Discovery and Paseo Verde Park, The Paseo Verde Trail, Paseo Verde Library, and even The District. Friendship Park left me with thinking about friendship. This thought reminded me of something that I meant to do and have put off for a while, writing a review on Unilocal friends.
