7-Eleven

So I come to this 7 – 11 every now and then. Its a 7 – 11 with 7 – 11 products. I do like the staff though. Very nice people and friendly! That’s all.

This is the last time I go to this location. I live in Seven Hills and refuse to go back after tonight. I walked in to buy cigarettes for my mom, and decided to buy some candy bars as well. I took my time because I was indecisive, and found myself walking the aisles a few times being unsure if I wanted ice cream, chips or candy. About 10 minutes passed and I went to check out, the lady (i’m assuming she is the owner, she is an indian lady) presumed to ask me, is this it for you? I said yes, and then she said «do you have anything anywhere else?» and this caught me off guard because what the heck does that mean? No I don’t have anything anywhere else, it is all laid out in front of you lady. I said «are you accusing me of stealing something?» and she said «no no I kidding» but did not sound like she meant it to be a joke.
WTH? Is that you how talk to customers? Profiling?
I proceeded to ask for the cigarettes I needed, handing over my I. D and credit card, which im pretty sure someone who would steal something wouldn’t cough up their I. D with name and address on it? After she handed me the cigarettes she started to try to make jokes with me about how when she buys candy she buys a lot and not just a few bars like I did.
Theres plenty of gas stations in near distance to this one, I don’t need to be profiled in a gas station by someone when I am a paying customer. I don’t know if language barrier played a role in this, and maybe I just took what she was saying out of context, but I definitely didn’t interpret it to be that way.
I will take my business elsewhere, too bad to, Im in that location at least a couple/​few times a week to buy icees, cigarettes or snacks.

This is a tiny 7-​Eleven. If you’re hoping for something specific, fair warning, this locale may not carry it. For example, while they have one of those cool Coke machine dispensers (yay for orange Coke!), they do not have any fountain Mountain Dew. No Mountain Dew! This is a severe travesty and pretty much kills the #1 reason I come to any give 7-​Eleven. Thus, unless I’m craving an orange Coke, I won’t be coming to this locale again. But it’s clean and the staff don’t suck and whatnot.

I’ve been in this store a few times but mostly all at night or early AM. I have never have had any issues with service. It’s conventionally located to home. It’s open ²⁴⁄₇ & has most things one may need. Prices are a little more expensive vs Wal-​Mart but you pay for the convenience!

Worst service I’ve ever gotten at a 7 – 11 in my entire Life !! Walked in to purchase a 12oz Frappacino and a bag of chips. Stood at the counter for 5 mins while other customers began to line up behind me. No one at the counter or anywhere else in the store. An indian-​looking lady finally emerges from the back room totally focused on her smart-​phone and sits down and continued to play with her phone totally ignoring the customers at the counter !!! One older customer leans over the counter and yells «Hello !!!» she continued to ignore him ! After the 3^rd time she finally looks up with a blank stare. At that time I slammed my merchandise on the counter and left the store. Unbelievable !!

I once lived in the area and used to visit this location from time to time. I once bought an Xbox COD video game from this location after having not been able to purchase it from a local Game Stop.
I once visited this location, when Henderson received three feet of snow (true story) after needing some Copenhagen to sooth my nerves after what would be a three drive home through the snowy apocalypse.
The video games appear to be gone and the snow long, long gone but the essence of 7-​Eleven remains. The parking lot sucks but once inside you can get everything the green and read store has to offer.
