Very good Mexican food and great prices on adult beverages and food. Nice atmosphere.

Food was horrible. Tortillas were raw, uncooked/​warmed, and enchiladas barely had any chicken in them. Too expensive, imho. With tip and two beers, we spent $ 40.00
Service was very good, but we won’t return.

Very very reasonably priced. Chips and salsa are always good. I always order cheese enchiladas, I absolutely love them. This is the only place I will order them from anymore. Everything is always served hot and fresh. I went here on my 21^st birthday for a margarita which was delicious. The cheese dip here is great as well.

This place is horrible from the service to the food. I am Mexican and the food served in this restaurant does not have anything Mexican on it. I went with my family and I to eat lunch today 03÷02÷15 and we experienced prejudice from our waitress which was the same culture as us. She gave us really bad customer service and ignored that we we’re there. Instead, the expo was refiling our drinks and asking if everything was okay, while our waiter was more worry about other customers. Upon our unpleasant experience the manager was to a certain point «professional», however good employees start by having a good management. Therefore, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Dispite the bad service, the food was unflavored and mediocre and is definitely not worth the price, much less to put up with racist waiters.

I don’t know about these people on Unilocal but this place is straight up terrible I went there and the food was cold when I got it the drinks were terrible I will never go back I would give it no stars if I could.

Best find in Hempstead Texas. Very nice and clean.

Average pricing for below average food. Chips and salsa are very good — unfortunately the enchiladas are nothing special.

I think I might judge Mexican restaurants too harshly because I am tuned into their flavors. I have eaten much Mexican food in the last month due to my travels through the south, and although I always leave full I always leave desiring something more. Not sure what or why, but I do. Tonight I ate the chicken fajitas poblanas. My companions had beef tacos and a chicken quesadilla. One of the best things was the chunky guacamole thanks to its extreme freshness. All in all we were very pleased with the service and the food was well prepared. No complaints from anyone. Given the lack of alcohol served in this town, I think Las Fuentes has a strong hold on the market and that alone would bring me back to eat here if I was ever to find myself in Hempsted. Not a destination, but certainly not a disappointment if you find yourself here.

Hempstead must not have any decent Tex Mex restaurants in town. I came here after reading the good reviews on Unilocal.When I walked in the place smelled like sewer and the food didn’t improve my improve my experience. I ordered a combination with cheese enchiladas and a «Crispy» taco. The enchiladas were left in the over so long that the cheese hardened on top of them. The taco was so soggy that it was inedible and the enchiladas were crispy from the hardened cheese. See my pic. I do like that they give you a small bowl of queso and the chips an salsa were OK. I always try and point out something positive with a bad review, so here it goes: Restaurant and bathrooms were clean and the waiters were attentive.

Amazing food. If you are hungry and driving by, it is worth the stop. You can split jus about any plate with someone else, it’s not very expensive at all, and tastes great. What more can I say?

This place is just steps away from a 5 star review. The service is top notch, the chips, salsa, queso, pico, beans, and rice are all very respectable. However, I found the enchiladas to be a little on the small side and the chicken enchilada was a little dry and funky tasting. I heard their fajitas are to die for. I’ll try them soon and let ya know.

Wonderful food! I had the shrimp and fish– wife had carne guisada both were amazing. Very good service, pleasant atmosphere. A winner.

I love this place. The ambience, food and friendly staff make it a pleasure to dine at Las Fuentes. When I’m in Hempstead, this is the only place I go. You can’t go wrong with their fajitas and margaritas.
