Again the tortillas were like eating cardboard. They open at 6am and it was 6:55am that I was sitting down to eat my breakfast tacos. If Bill Miller’s is going to charge $ 2.59 for a bacon & egg taco they should a least have fresh tortillas. Bill Miller’s should be ashamed to call these things tacos.

This place is not fancy and not it is not Rudy’s or Franklins or any other such places, but fast friendly and highly comestible it sure is! I have made trips for breakfast and have been pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor in the guisado, the great combination of the smoky brisket with soft egg and a toothsome corn tortilla(not going to win any contest with this tortilla,.but it does not get soggy and is tasty). Lunching at Bill Miller is a fairly inexpensive proposition with simple not so noteworthy sides, but the meats are well cooked and the fried chicken on occasion does make you crave it. Tried 4 locations and pretty solid on all fronts!

I don’t really eat meat so I mostly avoid places with BBQ in the title. However, my husband convinced me to stop by the drive-thru for breakfast tacos on Sunday morning and they were Delicious. I went for a couple egg, cheese, potato tacos– they were flavorful and hearty. Make sure to get some salsa. This is one of my favorite quick breakfast choices in town.

Bill miller is all over SanAntonio but this one is spot on. The staff makes the difference and you can tell they take pride in what they serve.

I usually go to this Bill’s for lunch and when I get up early enough, for breakfast. My favorite thing about this restaurant is how incredibly fast the drive thru is. My only complaint is that the chicken strips are sometimes crunchy, which I love, and sometimes are more chicken with no crunchiness. I wish they had an option for extra crispy strips.

This place is decent. I like Rudy’s better, but when looking for a quick fix you can’t beat the drive thru BBQ. I enjoyed the ham poor boy combo which comes with fries and a large sweet tea. The fries were good. The sweet tea… not that great. I hear they have«famous» tea, but I’ve had better. The ham poor boy was good. I went to a holiday party that had Bill Miller cater, so I’ve tried the brisket, turkey, and ham… the ham is the only thing I like. The rest of it is done better by Rudy’s.

I am a big fan of Bill Miller and love those huge chicken strips. This location has the worst chicken strips of any location I have tried. They are much thinner and are very dry. This location does okay w/breakfast tacos but they really did not step up the chicken strips!!!

I had the fortune of actually enjoying a Bill Miller’s Plate at this location, the food was very well cooked and the Sweet Tea was excellent as usual. I know people who are not from the San Antonio/Austin/Corpus areas may want to knock Bill Millers, but this location wouldn’t hurt for a first visit. If I ever need to go to Helotes again, this location would certainly be on my choices to eat.

We had breakfast tacos through the drive through on our way in the the San Antonio Highland Games Saturday morning. Had a couple of Egg and Sausage and a couple of Guisada tacos and they were very tasty.

Not sure why, but this location has messed up my order so many times that I go out of my way to buy from another Bill Miller. Not sure what causes this, but I would say they get it right less than 50% of the time. I go to the 1604& Babcock location and they always are on top of it there. I know this really isn’t a review of the food, but if you live in S.A., then you know that Bill Miller is the best fast food BBQ in town. Tea speaks for itself.

The food here is mediocre at best, regardless which branch of the chain you visit. The fried chicken is bland. The BBQ is not very good either. But, Bill Miller seems to have a store at every large intersection in San Antonio. Do yourself a favor and go to Rudy’s. It’s worth the little extra driving…

Where it all started. Grew up going to Bill Miller, back when they’d sell you a pie for a quarter right before they closed for the evening. So forgive me a lapse in my bbq snobbery to give a shout out to a lifelong dinner companion. In fact, it was years before I found another place in Texas that served sweet tea. What’s up w/that? Are we so vain? I’ve never understood why every place in Texas doesn’t have sweet tea. Is that we hold the sugar sacred, or that we see ourselves tea purists? It’s probably that we, as Texans, revere our rugged individuality so much that no one can tell us how sweet it is. The Rodeo plate is my homey. 3 meats &3 sides, you’re going on a Bill Miller world tour. The meat is ok. Way better than fast food, not world class. But chill out, it’s got a drive thru window. The plate is less than 10 bones. There’s no pretense here. Just fast, reliable, tasty, and cheap barbecue. The sausage might be my favorite on a poboy. And as for sides the beans are good, but I love the hash browns and the vinegar spiked slaw. Wrap it up with a brownie and you’re good to go. Seriously decent brownie for a place like this. This location is on the way to the lease and is super convenient for me when I’m cruising through. It looks more like a restaurant and has a nice, roomy interior with a western theme. The staff has always been friendly and overall no complaints.
