I had their peach cider and yellow peaches today at the annual Peddlers Village Peach Festival, and both were A++!! I grew up in Oklahoma where Porter peaches are known state-wide for being the best, and I can say that this farm’s peaches were ATLEAST just as good, if not better. Love it!

Unique store for the area. They grow there own fruits and vegetables, and have jarred items in the store that are hard to find except in Lancaster. Their cider is the best and they press there own till early spring. Don’t forget the ice cream!

Mark M. has it right that this place is most definitely funky. A few points worth noting: Apple Cider– If they still press their own I haven’t see it here in years and I do come 3 – 4 times during the fall. I swear that what they sell now comes from somewhere in Berks County. Either way the unpasteurized stuff from Scholl’s in Bethlehem blows everything else out of the water in terms of flavor. PA Dutch Stuff– The PA Dutch canned goods are NOT unique to this place. You can find the majority of it at the Allentown Farmers Market or by going to the source in Lancaster County where you can get it much cheaper. Honey– The whole glass beehive is neat and the honey they sell is very good. A lot of the other offering are simply repackaged from non-local national suppliers the same you would get at Giant or anyother supermarket. While it’s nice to want to support a local store, I’m not getting hosed at 20−30% more for no other reason then because. It’s kind of a tale of two stores. When stuff is in season that they grow/get local like their apples, peaches and blueberries it’s one hundred percent awesome. During the winter/spring I can’t really see a point of coming. I mean they are still open but there is nothing that they sell that you can’t find elsewhere for a hell of a lot less $$$.

An eclectic mix of Pa. Dutch canned goods and locally grown fruits and veggies. The sign says stop for the cider, but you will likely leave with a lot more than that. Anyone that ever wondered if sugar plums(see The Nutcracker) were actually real, look no further than Bechdolt’s. They have them by the carton and boy are they delicious! Support locally grown foods!

I had a really terrible experience the last time I was there which will be — the last time I ever go there. Then the peaches I purchased rotted completely overnight! I bought them in the afternoon — and then the next morning I woke up to mushy, mold covered, oozing fruit. I’m not interested in paying for things that go bad before I even have a chance to use them.

This is a farm stand set in the middle of an orchard– they grow their own apples and peaches, but they have pretty complete coverage of other produce. The store is a little funky– they do have a lot of local Pa. Dutch canned goods, plus the best cider around(from Solebury Orchards), and a glass beehive– see if you can spot the queen! The stuff they don’t grow themselves is generally pretty humdrum, but their own peaches and apples are incredible. However, the big thing for me is sour cherries! Late June/very early July– blink and you’ll miss them! They get both sweet and sour cherries locally, plus blueberries. One of the few places close by I’ve found with sour cherries. Can’t wait for summer!
