Decent beer spanning pretty much every category you might want. Nothing will blow your socks off. I will say their Miner’s Gold is probably the best hef you will find anywhere(if you’re into that sort of thing… oh, and try it with a lemon). Kind of miss the old, quaint location.

The taproom has about a dozen beers, including seasonal and specialty beers. Most of the beers are very approachable, but they do have a couple of stronger flavors. Food options are limited, but good. But the food is not why you go there. The bartenders are very friendly.

Great place to hang out! Cheap beer, friendly staff, plenty on tap to choose from. Games for entertainment such as pool, shuffleboard, darts, pool and fooseball. Live bands come play on weekends. They offer bratwurst and pizza as food options. All around awesome brewery.

Great brewery with a large selection of homemade craft beer. The atmosphere is great and full of energy. They sometimes have live bands in the weekends and themed parties such as 80s and 90s themes. Try out the minor gold beer, it is a lighter fruity beer! Great customer service and overall the best spot in town! Check it out for yourself!

Best beer! I always drink miners gold EVERYWHERE that has it. The environment is nice and there is a lot of room. One of the best perks in my opinion would be the out door seating, it’s wonderful in summer.

Love this place! So much fun to hit up after work or for a casual date. You can’t go wrong in ordering the Miners Gold. If you’re around on a Wednesday, grab a beer and head upstairs for Cow Tipping Comedy. Always hilarious. Best brewery around in my opinion.

What a great place! I was in town for the first time for meetings and our hotel recommended we stop by. What a find! The tasting room provides you with up to four outstanding house brews that are all outstanding and at a price that is laughable($ 2.50 to $ 3.00!?!). The seasonal dry hopped IPA was really outstanding but so were the pale ales and pilsners. Great place to sit back for a suds with free popcorn, sports on TV, and very personable staff. If I find my way back to Helena, I will be sure to return. I will wear my Lewis and Clark T-shirt and sport my koozie with pride!

Beer is amazing, can’t say I haven’t had a bad beer in Helena. Like the new place and the game room with the pool tables and shuffle board.

Worst Acoustics ever!!! Every band, person or trio that plays music there has to contend with the fact that the layout and the type of material that the brewery is constructed of makes for horrible acoustics! I have been Here numerous times and every act I have seen attempting to perform have to contend with at least 15 – 24 minutes of pre sound check, trying to hone In the sound while customers become agitated and irritable. I recommend the brewery either install some sound deadening material or get a qualified sound guy so the acts can achieve a good sound and the space does not become a top loud atmosphere were no one ca. Hear anything. When the bartenders must resort to yelling at customers two feet away I ask is there a problem?

Great Montana beer! Awesome taproom, very neat stuff. I would definitely try to make a stop, if you’re in the area.

This is a great place to grab a beer after work or on a Saturday afternoon. There is plenty of space and you can always find a table or at least a stool. They have live music every Thursday and Saturday as well as open mics, comedy and holiday parties. There are usually about 10 beers on tap so it’s easy to find something you like. The only downside is that there is very little off street parking, although they are planning on putting in a big parking lot down the street. Edited to add: They now have a full beer and wine license instead of just being a tasting room. Gone is the four beer limit; you can now get wine, beats and pizzas as well. They are open a bit later as well.

Love this place!!! It always seems to be full of people but there is always plenty of space. There were 12 hand crafted beers on tap so there are tons to choose from. The bartenders will give to samples of whatever you would like. Due to Montana Laws the brewery is only allowed to serve 48oz of beer per person per 24 hours. This is because they are considered a tasting room and do not currently have a beer and wine listens. Rumor has it this will change soon as L&C is working on obtaining a beer and wine listens. Great place to catch up with friends and make new ones. Highly recommend you try these amazing hand crafted brews!

If I could give this place 20 stars, I would. This place is my Cheers, truly. The beer is great, the atmosphere is BESTINTOWN for having a beer(you can sit in one of 5 areas that are distinct and spacious). The service is da bomb. There’s no comparison. I’ve been to breweries everywhere, but there truly is no place like home: Lewis and Clark Brewery. 20STARS!!!

Great atmosphere, great service, great beer! I love that it’s such a «local» place! Every Tuesday they support a local charity, they have local bands, open mic night for anyone with anything to say or sing, even a comedy club night! There is always something going on, and always new great beer to try! You can even get a quick rundown on how to make beer if you see Sean, Miles, Jim, or Max wandering. Great place for any occasion, anytime!

This place is amazing! Yes their beer is fantastic, but the Brewery and Taproom are incredible too. The Taproom is set up so there are several areas: a game room, the main room where the bar is, a nice side room, and an upstairs. And there is even a little art gallery! Oh and they just added a patio this summer — they’ve even got grass out there! And the mural that is painted outside is something you have to check out. As for beer — it is my favorite. I’m a hop-lover, so their Tumbleweed IPA is as good as it gets for me. They always have some cool seasonals on too. I highly recommend you check it out!

Don’t let the modest structure out front(the entrance) fool you, this place is huge; it’s a multi level, multi room pub and it would be hard to not find a place to enjoy 1 of their delicious pints even on Saturday night.

Good place to meet up for a few beers. I like the larger building but the parking sucks. I like the Yellowstone but it looks like Minors gold is everyone’s fav. Try it.

I was aghast to find that the only mention of this great MT brewery was coupled along with the Brewhouse restaurant. So, here is an official Unilocal page dedicated to great beer. I haven’t been in MT for 5 years now, but I haven’t found a beers like the Smoke Jumper stout or the Big Belt Weizenbock. I cannot wait to return and saddle up at the bar to refresh my memories of these delicious brews. Cheers!
