The Turkey Sandwich is amazing! They also roast their own coffee in a classic German roaster. Their coffee is sourced from all over the world and they definitely know how to make it taste really goooooood.

Good food, good drinks. Good place to hang out. It is a little expensive, but not abnormal when comparing to other coffee houses. They have a wide range of food options and lots of signature drinks. Staff is always nice. I like that it’s locally owned and operated.

Trendy. Lots of food options. Our coffee was pretty good, and so was our food.

Grilled«baked ham & cheese» Panini-style sandwich($ 7.75) consists of three slices of bread, 4 slices of sandwich cheese slices, and ONELOUSYTHINSLICEOFDELIHAM from a supermarket chain deli. Whoever called it «baked ham» was dreaming. You can do better at home from your refrigerator. What a disappointment! The fact the center of the sandwich was still COLD and the cheese wasn’t even melted suggests gross incompetence in the kitchen. The quality of the food being served here is heading downhill. Firetower has a relaxed eclectic atmosphere and Nord the owner is friendly, but the kitchen staff must have been trained at a Boy Scout Camporee. Time to hire some professional kitchen staff or move on again.

Everyone is always so friendly and helpful! Their coffee is the best you could possibly find in Helena. I definitely recommend their place for a quick bite and some great coffee.

Great place to get a very decent cup of coffee(one of the only places in Helena that does straight up coffee passably) and chat, date, or work. Food is a bit pricey but tasty enough, and this place has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly employees, and a great owner. They support local education and are generally a great asset to the Helena community.

What a great place to eat and relax. Some friends of mine and I chose the Firetower Coffee House to meet for lunch and once again we were not disappointed. Nord, the owner is very friendly as well as his staff! We had the soup of the day and ½ sandwich. The cranberry and nut bread with sliced turkey was fresh and very flavorful! The soup was okay. The portions were perfect as well as the price. For 2 of us it was $ 17.00 and well worth it! The atmosphere is very relaxing with seating as diverse as leather chairs in the front of the store so you can enjoy your coffee or lunch while you people watch. The back of the store have couches to sit and visit with friends or work on your laptop or read. I highly recommend giving the Firetower Coffee House a try… you won’t be disappointed!

A classic coffee house: relaxed atmosphere, various seating options, limited café menu, local flair,(art or music) and friendly staff who take a little pride in their service. I’ve sampled this experience from Seattle to San Francisco and love when businesses get the experience right. This place would do well with occasional local music and possible a long table for the occasional larger group. Otherwise they’ve nailed the recipe on the head.

Fire tower fail. Just went in because the place we originally were goin was closed for the day. Paid 9 dollars for ‘Dave’s burrito’ that was the size of a size 3 child’s shoe, that clearly just popped out of the microwave. If I pay 9 bucks for a burrito it better either be a BURRITO or have extraordinarily fresh ingredients(preferably both). When I walk to the front with the food and asked ‘is this the Dave’s burrito for 9 bucks’ I got blank stares and then someone commenting that there should be sour cream. The only consolation they provided was a giant pile of sour cream… Word of wisdom, head next door to no sweat café(wish they were open today!!) for an actual meal that never comes from a microwave.

This place is a great stop for coffee, pastry, breakfast, and lunch. The atmosphere is relaxing with a lounge and tables. Prices for coffees are decent. I spent about $ 7 for a breakfast plate and a hot mocha, which is good for a nice portioned meal and drink. The barista and cook were friendly. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 instead of 5 is because of a comment whom, owner or manager, made my girlfriend and I feel guilty for ordering food 20 minutes before they closed. Overall, it’s a nice place and stop in for coffee.

I don’t often write reviews, but want to spread the word about this place: Such a nice place to work, or to converse with friends and family. You’ll find good coffee that they roast themselves, and fresh, high quality ingredients(local when possible, it seems). I had the Tuscany chicken sandwich for lunch(w/delicious organic, never-frozen chicken) and conclude that they serve some of the best food around for a very fair price. I highly recommend paying Nord and his crew a visit!

Ah, what a perfect coffee house. We dropped in for a late lunch and immediately loved the spacious and well-lit interior. The baked goods were plentiful and all looked delicious, but I ordered the Italian panini and hot chocolate. As is the norm in Montana, everything moved just a little slower than I’m used to, but was easily made up for by the incredibly friendly staff and the food. We chatted with the kind man at the register, and he told us some great stories about the area. The panini was perfectly done, not too heavy or light on anything, and came with chips and veggies. I was really impressed, since most coffee house food is not good and sort of gross. But this is a legitimate café, and the food was prepared with time and care! Definitely will be back!

So much great improvement since under new ownership. Coffee is tasty, instead of watery. Lattes are beautiful and delectable, instead of cheep and bland. Lunch items have increased in portion and scrumptiousness significantly. New fireplace and décor makes for an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. I recommend trying the Tuscan Chicken Wrap with an amazing Bowl Of Soul to wash it down. This coffee shop really ups the standard of living in Helena, in my opinion.

There seem to be two, and only two options for coffee in Helena: 1) Starbucks; 2) overly-pretentious wannabe hipster organic coffee shop. Firetower was the only place I discovered that was neither, and thus, I present to you my favorite coffee shop in Helena. This was the spot where I would pick up a latte(or sometimes plain old fashioned coffee) and a breakfast of two eggs and wheat toast. I remember it being a reasonable price tag of about $ 5 but now it is closer to $ 7. They have also jumped into the smoothie market as well, and I must say that my strawberry banana smoothie was quite good despite being close to $ 3. The Firetower also has many different types of seating to meet just about every preference. Cushy chairs near the front windows where you can lounge and chat, high-top chairs and tables for intimate conversations, and basic chairs and tables in the back for working on a laptop. I believe there’s free WiFi here as well(or at least, I remember there was).

Firetower Coffee House is the place I go to grab a coffee and work on what I need to get done. They have a great real Chai tea they call unsweetened Chai but with a bit of honey and cream it is great. The food there is good and the service is usually attentive.

Things I ordered: — iced coffee huckleberry — $ 2.50 — garden patch sour dough sandwich — $ 6.45 The coffee huckleberry was alright, a fun Montana twist. The sandwich was horribly bland. I was on a road trip and had been eating lots of junk food and in the efforts to eat something a bit healthier, I ordered the garden patch. Who knew it literally tasted like vegetables… and nothing more. Boo. The atmosphere is really cute though and pretty large. I wish I had a coffee shop designed like theirs where I live — very welcoming, yet large. Hours here don’t apply(just like all of Montana). If there is doesn’t look like a busy day, they close up early. I’m just glad they were open when we came though because there was nothing else opened on the street when we came through. Nice atmosphere, but what I ordered was nothing special.

Has anyone actually tried the breakfast burrito? Horrifying. It was definitely microwaved. not really my thing. The cheese tasted processed and it also had tinny tasting black olives. What? Since when does a microwaved burrito with Tostitos salsa on it go with black olives? Gross. But the coffee was great!

Worst thing I have ever paid for and put into my mouth. When I hear the microwave ding before my breakfast burrito is up, I know I’m in trouble. Canned tinny olives, microwaved eggs, processed cheese and generic brand food lion tortilla chips. I was thoroughly depressed after this one. I was on the road and had a long drive ahead… I didn’t even bother to turn the radio on. I think I even called my father to say I love you. I began to reevaluate my life after this breakfast. Don’t eat this stuff you’ll enter a dark period. Great espresso though!

Very good latte’ served by a friendly knowledgeable staff in a nice eclectic environment. Firetower roasts their own coffee so frreshness is no issue here. They also emphasize socially and environmentally responsible coffees. A good thing.

My favorite coffee shop in Helena. I used to spend a fair amount of time here, using the wireless and having some tea. Nice intimate feel, and a great location near the heart of downtown. ..
