Just don’t. Rude staff, mediocre food, horrible management. Surprised this place hasn’t been shut down yet. In due time…

If I could give them a zero I would. My daughter went in for dinner since it was one of two places open Christmas Day and waited 45 minutes and never got their drink order. Finally after being ignored and several other tables being waited on they left. Do not waste your time. I have zero patience for restaurants that ignore customers. Their are plenty of places to go eat that still have customer service.

We enjoyed a late night meal here our last night in town. I opted for the seafood platter. No complaints. Definitely a party atmosphere at night so probably not appropriate for families. We would come back again.

The Hayloft is my favorite place to visit in Helen. I’ve been coming here the last couple of months and have always enjoyed the experience. The food and service is exceptional. I sat outside on the patio, enjoyed some live music and a delicious Caesar wrap. The servers and bartenders are friendly and very attentive. I recommend the Hayloft to all of my friends and family who are visiting Helen.

The smoke-​free dining, the new culinary chef, the new menu and the trained staff have made the Hayloft a totally revamped restaurant. You owe it to yourself to check it out and enjoy the food and the great entertainment…

Don’t even know where to start with this place. Easily the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We were in there on a slow Saturday night. The 45 minute wait for our food was not worth it at all. We had a personal pizza which is $ 6.95 for the base only! All other toppings (including the sauce!!!) cost 50 cents. Three of which we ordered were not even put on (we were still charged for them). Boneless wings were barley tossed in sauce (still not convinced they were) and the onion rings were burned to a crisp. Despite our experience and other tables walking out, the owner seemed to be enjoying himself getting drunk and singing karaōke. Don’t waste your time and money here, you will be disappointed.

Beware!!! They over charged me $ 20. I called the restaurant and whoever answered the phone was unbelievably rude. I called back for the manager and was basically told «tough luck» and to take it up with my bank. DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS AND WAITRESSES YOUR BUSINESS. Just eat and drink elsewhere!

This place was bad. We arrived in Helen late and this place was one of the of the only places still open at 9:45. It has all the typical bar food; pizza, burgers, extra. I ordered a pizza but they were out of pizza crust. Everything else was mediocre. Best thing was the cheese sticks and the side salad. But this place makes REAL Long Islands, best part of the whole experience!

Awesome new find in Helen. Awesome people, great staff and better atmosphere than the other tourist trap locations in Helen.

Good drinks, good food, good people place is unique and quite quaint. A landmark in Helen. Best bar in town

The bartender was nice at first; the food was below average. Then, the bartender made a very rude gesture right before we left. Will never go back.

THE BARTENDER/​WAITRESS *ASHLEY* IS THE WORST EVER !!!
We sat outside and Ashley was our server… Since the only German thing on the menu was the Bratwurst I ordered it. Ashley asked if i wanted fries and i said No… she said it comes with one side and the Onion Rings are very good… beer battered and cut fresh. I couldn’t resist. When the order came there were fries on my plate… I said I ordered Onion Rings and she said «Sorry …that is my fault». She left the table and i was assuming she was doing the normal thing and putting in the order for my onion rings… WRONG…she returned about 10 mins later with the check. I asked if she was going to take off anything for no Onion Rings and she said No… the onion rings are $ 1.00 more. I didn’t understand what that had to do with anything. She said all she could do is take 10% off… and she explained it was hard working bar and serving… there were no more than 6 tables in the whole restaurant and 2 servers.

Beware of this place. The waitress poured herself a shot and did them with us each time we ordered them. She then charged us for the shores she drank. She also tried to charge us twice for multiple items and then argued with GA when we asked to have them removed. We tried to talk to the owner but was also drinking and claimed he didn’t work there. He finally sent the manager over and the manager made the bill accurate. It was over $ 100 difference! Do not go here unless you want to give away your money.

these people are awful and if you want great publicity from bad reviews you’re winning on this one… horrible treatment of good clientele. My review isn’t finished and there’s a lot more of this response to come.

My boyfriend and I tried this place while we were looking for something to eat late at night in Helen. This is absolutely a bar and total bar scene. The waitresses wear short shorts and tank tops and you’re allowed to smoke cigarettes inside. I wouldn’t go here if you’re not into that. It’s not for everyone.
My experience was wonderful. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my boyfriend had the bratwurst platter. Was happy it wasn’t just «bar» food. They were both delicious. Our waitress was super nice and came to check on us quite a bit. They were having karaōke night (Friday night) so that was fun to hear. Played good music too. Free pool table which was awesome. Overall, a great bar and great food. Would definitely go back!

We were on a motorcycle trip with about 20 friends and ended up spending the day here due to pouring rain. This place was recommended by our hotel manager, it was a Great recommendation. Big, covered deck with TVs for watching football was perfect for our group as well as a few other groups that come in after we did. Free pool table, good food, great service and fabulous drinks and beer. We spent 6 hours here and we were never bored.

This place is just AWFUL. Doesn’t even deserve one star.
The minute you walk in there it smelled and it looked unclean. All the bartenders were rude and unwelcoming. The owner was completely unprofessional and exteamly rude. He refused to take back a meal that wasn’t even cooked and made me pay for it or he would call law enforcement. Drinks were terrible. I would say stay away from here. I’ve never had such an unpleasant experience before.

Well, the beer is very cheap, so that’s good, but the food is not worth the price nor the wait.

I visited Hayloft with a group of friends during Oktoberfest opening weekend. The atmosphere is laid back and they had karaōke going most of the night. Seemed to be a place where most of the locals hang out. It is two stories with an outdoor patio/​balcony upstairs.
To be completely honest, the best selling point about this place was the $ 1 PBRs! Our group had had a good amount to drink and when it came time to pay, I guess our server, Cynthia, thought that we wouldn’t notice if she added a few shots to the bill here and there, and even added drinks we had not even ordered! When we confronted her about it, she became extremely rude! So much for trying to be civil about the situation; never before had I encountered such a hostile individual within the service industry! It was like pulling teeth trying to get upper management to intervene and after about 45 minutes we got our tab straightened out.
Really hoped for better service since the atmosphere wasn’t too bad. Also would have preferred for the place to be non-​smoking. Bottom line, if you are a smoker and like cheap beer and bad service Hayloft is the place to be!

Its a bar, so there is cigarette smoke, hence the 2 star ratings. I hate to be around cigarette smoke.
On the upside, the whole reason we went was to see the band that was playing, Jeremiah & the Bullfrogs. They are good musicians.
Also on the upside, no cover charge. So maybe I am being harsh with the 2 star rating. I just can’t get past why the hell people smoke. Hello, cancer. Ever hear of that, ya bunch of smokers?
Beer by the pitcher, we drank Fat Tire, dunno how the prices on that were, I get by on my good looks. I would imagine they are in line with the other bars. Server was good once we finally got one, a bit of an organizational problem at first. Seems no one was assigned any table in particular.
They have an outside deck that would be good to get away from the smokers but then you can’t see the band. People were eating food, but I prefer mine not to taste like an ashtray so we ate elsewhere.
