Friendly pub. Good cold fresh beer and a wide selection, tasty fresh pub grub if on the unhealthy side, always a warm neighborly crowd. This place is like comfort food writ large: I like to come here every time I’m in town.

Service was crazy slow, waitress was rude, food was bland and just ok and my kids left still hungry. never again.

If you stick with drinks, apps and sandwiches you’ll probably be okay. The entrees I’ve tried have all been disgusting, especially the Shepard’s pie. Don’t do it!

Best wings around!!! We will be back for them. Better than Bidwell tavern wings! Great variety of beers and beverages. Nice bar feeling. Great burgers on pretzel rolls! Glad to see that we had a different bartender the last time we went. The other didn’t seem to like her job! We will be back

Honestly this is just another pub, with more usual pub food. I love Irish food. This isn’t it. The wings are great. I will say that. The main course however, my beer battered fish and chips, was void of anything appetizing and had a foul smell, so I only had a few bites. My dad had the bangers and mash, and said it was so bland he couldn’t tell the difference between the sausage and the soupy potatoes. The service is very attentive, the restaurant is clean. I just won’t be coming back.

We only stopped in for a pint — a good selection of beers on tap… Seasonal and local brews made up quite a bit of the beer list. We didn’t eat but the menu looked like standard pub-fare. We’d stop back to try it out!

I disagree with all the negative reviews… This place is great… There are so many wonderful beers on tap, the Mac n cheese bites are killer, the fried pickles are killer and I just ordered the PB&B burger… Peanut butter and bacon and it was absolutely scrumtrulescent. There aren’t many restaurants in this area so this place is a gem. If they were transplanted to Glastonbury, goodbye Plan garbage and Bricco pasta company… Sheesh. You should make a special trip here, all the food is fresh and so unique!!!

My wife and I have a seasonal cottage near by and we are always looking for a beer and burger place, our burger was simple not something that I would stop for again but or draft beer cold and good the place looks great the bar was full and loud we thought of going to the outdoor patio but to hot out side. Here a tip pass on salads are start out a plastic bag for an area with so many farms around the area there no reason for a poor salad.

I really like eating Irish fare… but this would have to be mediocre at best. The soda bread and the mashed potatoes were good. But the«sausage» for the bangers and mashed tasted and textured like bratwurst. Not at all an Irish sausage. The salads my husband got is reported as well blend of vegetables over bagged salad mix. The kids liked their corn dogs. For a bar/restaurant…not bad as a family establishment. As an «Irish» pub… lousy!

I have been there previously and I remember it being better last time. Good selection of beers on tap. Fish and chips were good although I agree it all and I’m not stuffed(rarely happens). Partner ordered a steak medium rare came well done. Clean atmosphere, wait staff was good.

Fennagains has lots of seating indoors, picnic tables for outdoor seating and a nice bar. The staff has always been very nice and does a good job. The build your own burger menu has great variety of choices(um though I’m not sure about peanut butter on my burger haha). The desert board is one of the best things! I had a banana foster cheesecake(I hesitated and the waitress convinced me — bless her) that was YUM! Not 5 star food but definately a place worth stopping at in Hebron.

Update. My last 2 times here, the food was markedly better. I’m still skeptical, but my Buffalo Chicken wrap was well made, with fresh veggies and good fries. The girls at the bar have been doing a great job too.

This place has stellar burgers, my favorite thing to order from this restaurant. Every time I go here, it never fails to amaze me. The irish nachos are definitely different, but I’d say I enjoyed them. I also love fried pickles, mmm mmm good. Definitely plan on going back in the future having already been here 2 – 3 times.

I’ve been to Fennagains a handful of times. It never fails to let me down. We always go there when the same bartender is working. I have no idea what her name is, but she’s good at what she does. Fennagains has an impressive tap list, and she was able to give me a good description of anything I asked about. Now, how about the food? I do not know how it is even possible to serve me a burger that’s still pink in the middle, yet has zero moisture. The burgers are consistently dry. I don’t know how they do it, but they do. It’s really disappointing because they have interesting burgers, such as the PB&B. It’s a peanut butter and bacon burger. The bacon and peanut butter go great together. However, the burger was horribly dry. Are they just using the leanest beef known to man? Fennagains isn’t an Irish pub. It’s a sports bar with a dining area. They can’t cook burgers, and that says a lot about the place. Come here for some beers and maybe a side salad.

Wow, what a difference a year makes. This place is way overpriced. $ 6 for a Beer? WTH. $ 10 for a chicken sandwich that left me hungry. My kiddo ordered the Derek burger which was really good and the Bacon on it was awesome. But seriously, $ 6 for a beer. No Way. I will be going somewhere else.

Nicely laid out. Comfortable patio seating. The menu had many reasonably priced common pub fare favorites. Our server seated us immediately. We had a clean table in the sun on a very sunny afternoon. I was very pleased with my wonderful Guinness and Harp black and tan. The patio is around 100 feet off the road. An occasional loud truck or motorcycle interrupted conversation. The road noise was not bad, but when a fire truck pulled out of the firehouse next door, you knew there was a firehouse next door. Quieter than many patios in Hartford nonetheless. If I had a suggestion(and I do) it would be regarding the salads. I was served some«salad in a bag» with a sprinkle of cheese, cherry tomato’s and a few pieces of onion. The dressing was right from Sysco. It would not take much to use higher quality greens, and to rinse them before preparing the salads. Couple this with an assortment of dressings that can be prepared in the restaurant for less money than if you purchased them, while adding to over all presentation and flavor. I enjoyed myself, I liked the layout inside and the patio was a nice experience.

FennAgains was a pleasant surprise in woodsy Hebron on a rainy afternoon. My boyfriend introduced me to this local Irish Pub. We went on a Monday afternoon for lunch, and were able to choose our booth. The place isn’t too huge, but its interior is bright and welcoming, and decorated with Irish street signs and beer memorabilia. We ordered Kona KoKo Brown Ale, a delicious Hawaiian beer with a hint of coconut. Ordering«tapas style» is my favorite way to go, so we went for the Irish Nachos, Fried Pickles, a Steak & Cheese Sandwich with Broccoli and Cheddar soup. Sharing everything of course! This meal was awesome. The nachos definitely stole the show. Hand cut potato chips covered in sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing, corned beef, and cheddar cheese. They were crunchy, and amazing. The pickles were equally awesome, with a great dipping sauce on the side. We will definitely be back for another lunch. Rumor has it that this place gets super crowded for dinner, so thats good to keep in mind.
