Service sucks! Never again, tried twice ! Done with them!!!

I was a fan of pizza gourmet for a long time in SR. Mostly I hit it up for large pizza parties, or when I had a buy one get one free coupon.
They opened last Wednesday here in Hbg, but I think the writing is on the wall for them already. They have moved into the old DiVine location, unfortunately, they didn not do their homework prior to opening, and even remotely check out the competition, especially for lunch time, and that’s going to hurt them badly.
First, they are ungodly expensive for lunch time. A 12″ pizza is $ 16.95 a 16″ pizza is 23.95 — that includes nothing but pizza. Thier pasta selections start at 11.95 — if you want a salad with it, make it $ 14.95.
(note — devine does pasta or pizza + soup or salad + your soda/​coffee/​tea for $ 8.85 at lunch) That is nearly DOUBLE the cost.
On the 3 page menu, the words NO SUBSTITUTIONS, PLEASE can be found 8 times. yes… 8 times they remind you that you can’t substitute. So don’t even ask.
There were 3 women at the table next to us, some how one of them must have missed the NO SUBSTITUIONS, PLEASE next to the salad menu, because with the (very small 12″ pizza the 3 of the were sharing) she asked for a small ceaser salad — to which she was told, that they didn’t have, only a large one, but if she wanted a small mixed salad (for $ 4.50) she could have that.
Seriously? you had all of 6 people in your restaurant and you just opened. NOT the attitude to have towards your customers.
We had the cobb pizza, and split a side salad — the total bill with 2 sodas was $ 30. (pre tip) That’s pretty disappointing considering we would have had MORE food, better choices and a much more welcoming atmostphere had we eatten at Divine (and it would have cost about $ 20 with tax)
If I would have had the Clam Pasta with a salad $ 16.95 + a beverage ($ 2.50) with tax and tip, I was looking at $ 25… FOR LUNCH!!! I could have eatten at Dry Creek Kitchen, Bistro Ralph or any number of other WHITE TABLE CLOTH places and spent that much or LESS. Ridiculous, especially in this economy.
And to top it all off… bathrooms do not have garbage cans. There is a communial garbage can in the hallway between the two bathrooms. Seriously. NOT that you would have much garbage because they don’t fill the towel dispensers IN the bathrooms, which with the whopping 6 customers they had during lunch hour — makes me wonder. Has there ever actually BEEN paper towels in the bathroom?
I’m sorry — but you have lost me as a customer, quite possibly at both locations, as I’m really disappointed.
The 2 stars — one for my server — she was very sweet, and I feel sorry for her, cause she’s not going to make much money here — given that people won’t be back seeing the prices. One star for the cobb pizza, I dig the walnuts on there.
