Incredible paninis and soup. Close to 81– we stopped in on a road trip and could not have been more satisfied. Great customer service and food options. Didn’t have any coffee/lattes but they looked great.

The Dragonfly always offers excellent food and coffee. Their menu offers both breakfast and lunch with breakfast being served all day.

Delightful little café where the the staff was friendly and the food was flavorful. The chicken tortilla soup was great and the buffalo chicken panini had a good kick to it.

I ordered food for myself and family today. We are temporarily at a hotel in town. We were sick of eating burgers and fries. So I was looking up restaurants that delivered breakfast in the area and came across the dragonfly café. I looked over all the good ratings and reviews on Unilocal and I decided to place a order. I looked up their menu up online and called to put our orders in. Upon calling I noticed how pleasant and nice the person on the phone was. that was a good start. I started placing my order according to the menu online. My order was the classic with two scrambled eggs I chose bacon as my meat for the sandwich that was suppose to be on a brioche roll. Next I ordered french toast with scrambled eggs and a side of bacon and finally Crepes. My order came to a little under $ 20.00 minus a few cents. I waited almost fourty minutes for my food to arrive and had to be called by the front desk and told the person was waiting there. I started to go down when the delivery lady arrived. Being that I wasn’t really dressed to answer the door I had my daughter do so. She gave the woman $ 22.00 as I had told her to do. started to look at the food. Only to find two pieces of toast cut into triangles placed in foil. A grilled cheese sandwich also in foil. 2 big mostly plastic containers. One containing cut up small a little more than bite sized pieces of what appeared to be some kind of french toast using wonder bread. that looked dark. in color. 2 this slices of bacon. and what looked like two under cooked scrambled eggs. The other container contained two more under cooked scrambled eggs bacon one strip of thin bacon and some sort of small half a potato that looked smashed. Shock is a understatement as to what I felt. My order looked like wonder bread mostly. I was so disappointed, after waiting forty minutes and not eating all day. I immediately called them back. The girl on the phone was no longer pleasant but rather short. Informing me that I had the wrong Dragonfly café that they did not have a menu online. Nor did they even have crepes on the menu. I felt like I had been tricked. When I asked her to come and pick up the food and return my money to me minus the two dollar tip I had given the delivery woman. I was told they would basically I had to deal with it. I said why didnt you tell me when I read off of the menu online that there was another dragonfly café and you didn’t have a menu online. That is when she hung up on me. I called back ad spoke to another girl who told me my order had been a extra side of eggs, extra bacon and a grilled cheese sandwich and there was nothing that could be done or that they would do. I called back for a third time and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came onto the phone I think her name was Peg I explained the situation to her and the fact that I thought it was unfair, unreasonable and deceptive. She was very understanding I thought and I told her they could have their money back the food had remained untouched and I wanted my money back. She said they did not want the food back and that she would be returning my money to me after her shift. I thanked her and hung up the phone. About 3:02 I sent my daughter down to the front desk to see if the money had been left there. She said it had not I called the Dragonfly café. The phone rang out several times and the answering machine was full. When I finally got someone on the line I was screamed at and told I was harrassing them and that they had called the police on me. I was also told she had tried to return the money to the front desk and it had been refused. Which I find hard to believe knowing they knew my room number and phone number and the manager said they never came back and he received no money and that they were lying. It is now 7:07 at night my family has only now had sandwiches and chips our first meal of the day. The food the dragonfly café delivered remains on the table untouched and uneaten. I don’t know what part of customer service this is. But I wish I could post pictures of the food that was delivered so you could see for yourself if it was worth $ 22 and all this trouble. I wish I had just bought cereal and milk and forgotten about a hot breakfast. To be threatened and told the police were called over this shabby excuse for breakfast. To be screamed at and spoken to disrespectfully by a staff and have paid them undeservingly is pure insanity.

Great place to have some breakfast and coffee in the morning, they serve lunch there too. I love the ambience of this place; it has exposed brick walls with paintings and pictures on the walls illuminated by track and spot lighting, hardwood floors, great amount of tables, chairs and bar stools for plenty of seating. It reminds me of a place in the city(NYC) Food is good, regular coffee I had was on point, I believe they have an espresso /cappuccino machine in here too. They make fruit smoothies and shakes. The staff is very friendly and serving. They have this place decorated very nicely for all occasions. I live in the area and I always pass by Dragonfly numerous times a day throughout the week. I will definitely recommend stopping by this place to check it out.

A couple miles of the freeway but worth the detour. Food was much better than we would have expected at a small café. I had the turkey burger and my wife had a Turkey panini. Both sandwiches were made with fresh ingredients and the handout fries were superb. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was inviting with good selection of seating. Bookmarked for future trips!

My wife and I travel to West Laurens, NY from Annapolis, MD about five times a year. It’s a six hour drive with little to offer but fast food options. Luckily we found out about the Dragonfly Café via the Unilocal app. It’s only a quick four miles from I-81. The food was fresh, quick and served with smile. We enjoyed pananis and salads. We found the staff to be very nice. On the day we visited we dined on the front patio and enjoyed the fresh air. The interior is also comfortable as it has café tables and walls adorned with cool photography. We will be back. I’ll get there earlier next time so I can enjoy the coffee and bakery. **There is street parking out and parking lot in the rear **Family friendly **Dog friendly **Reasonable pricing

My boyfriend and I were on our way up to Cherry Springs state park to see the stars, and I was so excited to try here on the way! Nothing much was coming up at all on Unilocal from Ambler PA to Cherry Springs PA, so I was so happy when I found this! It feels a little out of place, since the Hazleton area is kind of… deserted. Anyway! I got an omelette with swiss cheese, mushrooms and spinach, my boyfriend had an omelette with goat cheese, turkey sausage and onions. They let him have sweet potatoes with it, too! We also shared the french toast, a brownie and a pumpkin pecan blondie. The pumpkin pecan blondie was SO good and i was so excited to get something pumpkin for the first week of fall. The brownie was also moist and delicious. Oh, and the COFFEE! There was so many exciting coffee drinks to try, I decided on an iced coffee. They serve Intelligista coffee which I was excited about. Next time we’re headed in that direction, I will definitely stop by again, I can’t wait to try them for lunch! :D

The ONLY place that’s worth going to in that town. It’s actually pretty oddly placed, given the location and surrounding but this is the only thing that saved me on a month long business trip to this area. I ate here every single day, after trying a few other restaurants in the area there is nothing that compares to this place. The only downside is they’re only open for lunch. I would highly recommend if passing through the area.

Very clean and friendly. Great food but service was a bit confusing. Order at counter? Table? Should check it out. Biggest complaint is parking.

Summary: Great unknown café in hazleton. You can tell the owners truly care about the customer from the locally grown food and friendly atmosphere. Pros: right on the main line of hazleton, locally grown food, delicious fresh made organic coffee brought in from Chicago everyday, friendly and VERY helpful/knowledgable staff, great place to study for PSU hazleton students or meet up with a friend, average prices for a café. Cons: close around 2/3pm everyday. Overall: good place, average prices, you should definitely make a stop to this place if you’re leaving or just passing through hazleton.

This is a true coffee house you would find in a major city, right here in Hazleton! The owner takes pride in her product and is a trained BARISTA! Homemade soups, sandwiches, panninis, salads, breakfast just to name a few items on the menu. It’s cornerstone are the many coffee and espresso creations. Dragonfly heralds a La Marzocco espresso machine which in conjunction with their Black Cat espresso from Intelligencia roasters out of Chicago produces the best lattes, cappuccinos, etc etc. Perfect downtown Hazleton addition! Hazleton is very very lucky!

Ahh, a latte that actually tastes like coffee not just milk! I used to be a Starbucks addict but lately they have gone way down hill — haven’t had a good one there in months, maybe years! Dragonfly was great! The pastries were good too!

The Dragonfly Café is truly a gem nestled in the heart of Hazelton. Staff are very attentive and provide such a friendly neighbor feel. Their coffee was by far one the best cups that I’ve ever had. I decided to try the chicken, bacon ranch panini and a cup of soup for lunch. My taste buds were exploding! Such robust flavoring. Utter perfection! I can’t wait to dine here again.
