Best Western Hazlet Inn

This hotel met and exceeded our expectations for our money. The room was clean and fresh! Extra towels and blankets were brought on request. Everyone was so friendly and the lobby and breakfast area were clean and cozy always being wiped down and kept fresh.
Let’s talk food allergies! The gentleman who was taking care of breakfast this weekend was named Angel, he was so friendly and went out of his way to make people comfortable. There is a sign on their microwave that says gluten and dairy free option available upon request. Being that we have issues with both I was so happy to see this on a continental breakfast!
He brought our gluten free chex cereal and almond milk! It wasn’t soy! It was almond! This meant a lot to us and I will return if we choose this area of Jersey for our next stay. I would recommend them to anyone traveling through.

This is a standard travel hotel. I felt safe staying for 2 days with my daughter as there’s a lobby you must pass through to the rooms. It was clean enough for short stays. The front desk manager Nancy is a very sweet lady. She knows a lot about the area and can recommend good places to dine. That’s a good thing since most of the places recommended on the BW website are closed now.

The worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. Stay far far away unless you are planning on using this room to take your prostitute back to or shoot up heroin and party all night. The rooms were filthy we were switched to two different rooms. The elevator stinks like old crusty vodka and cigarettes. We could actually hear someone having sex screaming through the hallways. We were kept up all night with my ten month old baby by under age drinkers who I was later told checked in at 2 am. They crashed into our door twice at 4 am! When I went down and complained to the desk for the second time nothing was done. The manager is refusing to speak to me. There was pee on the bathroom floor hair in the shower and blood dripped down the inside of the bathroom door! One woman i think her name is Michelle was the nicest person and couldn’t really do much to help but tried her hardest. This place a filthy disgusting hell hole that locals use to party. People screaming through the halls all night long doors slamming until 5 am. Dirty old disgusting stinky place. The ac does not work in either room we were in. When i sprayed Lysol on everything the rag i used was absolutely disgusting. I am STILL waiting for the manager to contact me back. Looks like I am going to have to dispute my charges with my CC company. We would have all been better off staying in our car!

Clean, nice rooms **for the price**.
Staff is friendly.
Pillows are super good, but unfortunately too large for my normal sized girl head, and thus actually uncomfortable.
Rooms run cold, but you can adjust.
Not particularly quiet.
BUT Remember its a pretty cheap option! We stay here often. Close to highlands beaches, that’s why we frequent.

Nothing swanky. Stayed a few nights for business and it’s pretty close to the train station. There is a grocery store and a few restaurants nearby which make it an okay location. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was simple items and nice to have. The taxi service they have on the card sleeve is the one I used to get around because it was the cheapest.
