Calverts Express Auto Service and Tire

We were traveling from CA to Illinois and this place was just down the street from our hotel. After putting the contents of my daughter’s stuff from college into the back of my van… I wanted to make certain of the tire pressure all the at around.
The lady at the desk took care of us right away and a technician tested and filled the tires as needed. I asked to pay but they said there was no charge and to be safe on the road. Thank you for this service… it out my mind at ease for the rest of our trip.

DO NOT GO, to the Jeffco Blvd branch. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Did I say terrible customers service!!!
The desk person is a «B», she talks to customers like they are stupid, she is rude and obnoxious!!! I’ve been there twice and had I remembered her bad attitude I would have kept driving by!!! She is very condescending!!! I even saw her walk away from a customer that had asked her a question and she rolled her eyes and had a look on her face like the person that asked the question was the stupidest person on earth!!!
News flash, not everyone knows about cars, if they we wouldn’t need to take our cars to be repaired!!!
In case the business owner or branch manager doesn’t know first impression are longer lasting that the work that is done!!! Get a new receptionist or whatever she is! I doubt she is a mechanic but I overheard her giving advice on the phone that should be given by a mechanic!!!
If people are treated rudely, badly it leaves a bad taste in their memory, even if they got the cheapest best service on their vehicle they will not save enough money to have to deal with the wicked witch at the front desk!!!
There is way too many places to go to get your car worked on to deal with someone like her and wait for slowwwww workers!!! Save your money and aggravation, go somewhere else!!!

If I could give this place negative 5 stars I absolutely would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANYTHING!!! Brought car in for an oil change $ 15, left and within 15 minutes the check engine light popped on. I brought the car back only for them to tell me I had a bad catalytic converter. They even tried to tell me the check engine light was on when I brought the car in which was a complete and utter lie! I told the manager that I would be taking the car for a 2^nd opinion and that if I found out that they were being shady, I would put them on blast via Unilocal as well as call their district manager. The so called «manager» shouted rude obscenities at me as I walked back to my vehicle.
I was so angry about this unprofessional exchange and their shady business practices that I called the district manager while I was right there in the parking lot. (The district managers contact info is on a big sign on the wall behind the receptionist desk). The guy who answered the line sounded A LOT like the so called manager i just had the exchange with at the location, hmmmmm…
I explained to the «district manager» my concerns regarding the rudeness as well as the shady business practices and he proceeded to tell me that the «manager» was very busy and that it’s hard to service customers and explain things to them and manage a large customer base and blah blah blah. The so called «district manager» basically told me that they are the cheapest in town and that «everyone wants everthing and you are not going to get cheap prices and the best customer service». So I said to him, «so let me get this straight, the DISTRICT MANAGER IS TELLING ME THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY???»
Avoid this place like the plague. You will go in thinking you are getting a cheap oil change and will come out with a $ 500+ problem. They will be very rude to you if you are an informed consumer that ask questions as opposed to taking their word and just paying them. I asked them if they happened to know if the hose became unloose when they checked my filter which would cause a catalytic converter check engine code and he told me they didn’t check my air filter. Now I don’t know about you, but I have NEVER gotten an oil change and not had the air filter checked.
BTW, I also let the DM know that they have a lot of bad google reviews on line, and he told me that it’s mostly from competitors. Well folks, let me assure you that I am NOT a competitor, feel free to send me a PM, if you have any questions. I hate that I ignored the reviews, I just didn’t think they could screw up an oil change this bad. Hopefully I am saving someone else the bad experience with my review. I plan on getting a 2^nd opinion will be contacting the MO attorney generals office if I find they did anything shady to my car.
