Had a few MRI’s before. This was absolutely wonderful, as far as having a medical procedure done. I needed an MRI for Rotator Cuff damage. First thing one thinks of as far as an MRI, is you lay back and slowleyyyyyyyyy go through a tube like hot dog meat going into a casing. Open MRI, big deal the sides are open and you’re still laying back with with this huge slab inches from your face. With the Vertical MRI, depending on what you’re having done, you sit, stand, all facing outward and maybe even watch TV as you’re getting checked. As far as my procedure, I stared out standing, and placing my left arm onto a tube for support, a cup like support went over my shoulder, and the left side of my head was supported on a pillow like cushion. Once in place the part I was standing on actually moved me so I was laying on my left side. The entire procedure took about 15 minutes and I was done. It was terrific. The staff was extremely professional, caring, helpful, and willing to do what was neccessary to make my experience as comfortable as possible. PLEASE, if anyone has to have an MRI done deffinately look into it.
