Always a huge line in the beginning of the quarter and when everyone just gets out of class. Picked up a couple spiral notebooks for $.99 so not bad. Not much of a selection for these other high priced items though. Get your books online or through other students. And bring your own food, the convenience store is definitely a wallet breaker. Tech folks were nice though! They helped answer some questions for my MacBook search. The only place on campus to really spend money.

Their customer service was great and all employees were really friendly. When I came in they greeted me with enthusiastic manner, but when I was waiting in line it it took forever to purchase my items. I think they should add more cashiers during rush hours. Other than that, when I was checking out the computer department for different prices and specs, one of the associates came up to me and asked if I needed help. She told different options and helped me choose which computer was the best for me to buy. It was very helpful, since i’m very indecisive. She knew her Apple knowledge very well. She also told me the department finally got an Apple repair center that can check my laptop if I have any problems with it. After checking, the bookstore has the most affordable prices compared to other repair stores in Hayward.

Not only are their prices ridiculous but I literally walked outside two steps, walked back in when I realized I already owned the book and didn’t need it, and they refused to refund because it was final sale. I understand if I had left for even half an hour, or came back the next day. But I went out the door, went back in and can’t do it. Sorry. I don’t know how you can compete as a textbook bookstore when you have terrible return policies and no flexibility whatsoever. I will never purchase another thing from them, thank you for pushing me forever to Amazon and half price where they don’t price gouge students and are always understanding of a students Financials. I’d burn this $ 25 useless paper weight, but I’m pretty sure Amazon will help me sell this.

I bought a Macbook Pro two months ago from the bookstore’s website during their«Buy a Mac, Get Free Beats» sale. I thought it would be a good deal and get my money’s worth, especially as a student. When I finally got the laptop in the mail, the Beats never came with it. I emailed the bookstore asking when they’d come and if it was shipped separately. Finally, after waiting a month for school to start, I decided to ask them in person to only hear that I was supposed to do in-store pick up to get the Beats. It’s really disappointing because it was never said as I looked carefully while ordering. It’s also not that hard to email back a simple answer to a customer. It was a really bad experience and I don’t think I’d ever go back there to buy anything. :(
