Only has Broc and Spinach pizza only on the weekend they said… then go on a Saturday still nothing … so you have to be there in the morning for that pizza… so annoying. I would suggest if you’re going to run a business.. might want to take something off the menu if you aren’t going to serve it!

It’s an okay place in the food court on the lower level of Southland Mall. Not your ordinary mainstream pizza/pasta café like Sbarro, but it’s okay. I had their baked ziti, which wasn’t too bad, and it also came with a garlic roll. I wanted a cup of water, but the lady said they didn’t have it available(which I thought was a bit ridiculous) but they had bottled water for what was probably an outrageous price. Didn’t try their pizza slices, but I’d probably believe what other Unilocalers have been commenting about those other menu items.

My family and I have been here a few times. I finally decided to write a review. This past weekend, was probably our 4th visit. All of our visits have been unpleasant. I think we gave them the benefit of the doubt. This is definitely our last visit. Food was not good. My children(17, 14, 6, and 4) complained that it was too undercooked, not tasteful, too mushy, and just not good mom. The staff is not too friendly either. We have asked them to cut the slices in half because the two younger children would have a difficult time holding and eating the pizza. Every time we ask them to do this, we get the«roll your eyes» look and attitude. We also asked for a few times and the lady that worked that day said it would cost $ 1.25 for a cup of water. OUTRAGEOUS! Basically, food is not tasteful, a bit overpriced, and rude service. If you shop at the mall and need a bite to eat, avoid this place OR better yet, go outside of the mall to eat.

If homestyle pizza’s blinking sign isn’t enough to lure you in then there shitty ass pizza should do the trick. So, I came to Southland with my boyfriend. We ended up eating here. Mistake number one. We should’ve walked away when we had the chance. I picked the mushroom & olive slice.(I love mushrooms so I thought I would’ve liked it.) WRONG! The woman helping me put it in the oven to warm it up. After warming it, she handed it to me. Not even hot at all. My boyfriend picked a pepperoni and sausage and was not impressed, but at least his slice was warned up properly. I had to ask them to warm mines up again. It really does have the texture of a frozen pizza getting warmed up. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s horrible.

Gross. Red Barron has more flavour. Thick, starchy, undercooked, bland, boring. No spices/herbs whatsoever. It tasted like frozen pizza. Did not taste fresh at all.

Wow. I really am getting senile. I thought that this would be my 3rd review for this kiosk(I now realize that I kept changing my mind about reviewing it again earlier). My wife ordered from here on Sunday. For the most part, we both like the food here. My wife was charged $ 7.01 instead of $ 6.97. Guys, the sales tax rate is 9%, not 9.75%. (Because of this, the prices below do not include tax. I’m not going to guess what you’re actually going to be charged here.) Medium Soda: $ 1.59. There are about 6 fountain machine selections. There are also a number of drinks on ice to choose from. It’s worth ordering a Large for about $.25 more. The Medium cups only hold 20 oz. Pan Supreme Slice($ 3.95): 7⁄10. My wife liked her slice, and it featured a fair number of toppings. It was also thick, even for a pan slice. Her slice should have been heated a bit longer. It was lukewarm. This is an ongoing issue. I have had lukewarm slices too, and will complain about it next time. Garlic Roll($.85): 8⁄10. My wife gave me a piece. It was quite good, but not very garlicy. We’re both fans, but the rolls could be bigger, and so I recommend that you order 2. The employees here are pretty friendly and quick. If the food was a bit better, I would bump up the rating. Still, if you order from here, you should be pleased overall.

Sometime over the last few years this location changed from a Sbarro to what is now Homestyle Pizza. I regularly ate at the Sbarro when I visited the mall, but since they changed I decided to venture to other food court restaurants while there. Today I was feeling pizza and decided to try out the«new» restaurant while out with my brother. Lets just say its no Sbarro. I picked up a slice of pepperoni. It just didnt have any flavor, the cheese was quite bland and the texture reminded me of microwaving a frozen pizza. The price menus have definitely changed too since becoming Homestyle, I recall there being combos and there were none here. Their pasta items looked alright although I did not order it during this most recent visit. There are many better pizza places than Homestyle, unfortunately there are none in the mall. The only pro i can think of is that they offer pizza by the slice, and I can’t think of any other places that offer the same service in Hayward. I think I’ll still stick to the other eateries while at the mall though.

Ordered a pepperoni slice. It wasn’t warmed up enough. But main idea: now I am in bed with food poisoning. That should explain my rating.

Homestyle is better than most mall pizzerias. I can speak for the cheese pizza and it’s an upgrade from Sbarro’s. I’ve done a side-by-side taste test on two different occasions(yes, I trekked to another mall to get Sbarro’s :)) and the Homestyle pie won convincingly. Kudos to the owner for having a decent recipe!
