Oh I see how it works here. If you leave a negative review, you get the post removed for «violation of terms.» I won’t say anything negative, but I will say that this is a «Health and Wealth» Prosperity Gospel church (google Kenneth Copeland for more details). I’m sure there are faithful believers who attend here, but you can do much better in a church (Faith Fellowship in San Leandro or Castro Valley Neighborhood to name a few).

Pastors Mark and Brenda Thomas are great Christians and great pastors. They have a passion for people and go out of their way to make visitors feel welcomed. There is no shortage of opportunities to participate in the ministry and help others. There are also groups and services for youth, young adults, singles and seniors. The church has a diverse multi-​cultural congregation that also adds to the great experience of being a part of this church.

Heart of the Bay is an excellent church! I try to stop by whenever I’m in the Bay Area. I’m very picky about who/​what I listen to, but I’m comfortable with what comes from the pulpit at Heart of the Bay. Namely, I like that they don’t have any other doctrine than what’s in the Bible. If it’s in there, they believe it; if it isn’t, they don’t. Easy-​to-​understand teaching, but powerful & effective. Most importantly though, there are quality people there — genuine and loving. I don’t feel like I have to put on an act to be there; they just accept you for who you are.
