Great brew coffee. Cute place. Have various types of coffee and teas. Love the part that it is roasted and it creates a smooth taste delicious coffee

This is such a cute little shop, it smells really good like coffee and pastries. I ordered the Nutella crêpe and it was delicious! BUT there was unfortunately barely any Nutella in it. My parents ordered the Bön Berries crêpe and agreed that the barely put anything inside the crêpe. That being said the crêpe itself was good and service was okay. It’s also VERY pricey we got 2 crêpes and a latte which resulted to $ 30. Would come again but ask for extra Nutella, definitely try this place out!

Rating only for the bubble tea. Do not get it. I ordered a «jasmine milk» which is jasmine milk tea and watched the barista pour from a pre-made batch of green tea and added random amounts of milk and ice. My favorite part was when she mixed the drink by shaking the cup as you would for a sealed boba drink but of course the drink spilled from the lid. The drink tasted like iced water with a hint of tea leaves, overall a waste of $ 3.25. Maybe I would try the coffee next time, if there is one.

I love this place! I will preface this review by saying the crepes are like 4 stars, but the coffee is delicious and this café is perfect for studying! Sometimes when I go to do work or study at a café, I feel like the employees just want you to leave, but here I can study in comfort for hours on end! The outdoor patio is nice too, I like to do my reading out there. The emoloyeess are all super nice too! All in all, a great little spot right in downtown Hayward!

Located in the middle of downtown Haywayrd, this place is a great café to go after or before watching a movie at the cinema next door. I got the german coffee with milk(stirred not shaken). It was amazing and I probably had bubbles just evaporating from my soul. My friend got the honeydew milk tea with boba and I thought it was decent(not a huge fan of honeydew). It’s also a good place to study and people watch on any good day. They offer an array of crepes and snacks(that I didn’t get to try). They are a bit pricey because I frequent other crêpe places. I would try the food if ever I’m hungry and in town. They do have a bathroom but it requires a key. I wished that they had extra toilet paper in the bathroom in case it ran out.

I literally only wanted to try this place for the cute latte kitty cats. That was exactly what I asked for. I even showed them the pictures from previous Unilocalers to be sure. I ordered a latte mocha with emphasis on the Kitty cat. I was so pleased at my little cat floating on my drink! It made my day. I guess not all the baristas know how to make these things but thankfully Darlene was skillful enough to pull off my request. She said it would take a little extra time but beauty takes time, lol understood. It just made my day. But the coffee itself was yummy! I’m not a real big coffee drinker and this was just right. My friend ordered the zombie. I guess which was a regular iced coffee. Pretty straight forward. They also sell sweet and savory crepes, pastries, and boba which I will have to try next time.

Stopped here to get a cat latte, but unfortunately, the barista who makes them wasn’t there that day. :( We still got a latte and dirty chai latte anyway. Both lattes were very good. Tip: if you don’t specify you want your drink to go, they will make your drink in a dine in cup! We were kind of in a hurry so we had to ask for to-go cups. Parking can be a little tricky. There weren’t many spaces on the street. However, there is a lot nearby and we scored a 20 minute(ish) parking space.

I came here recently to study with a classmate and I love this café. We studied for about 6 hours here, we had tea and food and absolutely everything was delicious. The ambience was great, prices are reasonable, staff was friendly, and Internet worked just fine to do school work. Love this place!

Very delicious crepes and teas, along with good coffee at this cozy café. I was pleasantly surprised to find Eko Coffee Bar & Tea house right next to the movie theater along B street. I’ve been back several times to try the different crepes(savory and sweet) and flavored teas. So far, my favorite crêpe has been the tandoori; this has chicken and Indian spices along with some good green sauce. The turkey and cheese was a bit pedestrian though – think: a turkey and kraft cheese sandwich on wonder bread. The classic nutella crêpe was awesome but I’m going to try the Elvis next time(peanut butter and banana). As for the teas, you should definitely try the honeydew tea. Another plus when I go here is the customer service — one time I asked for light roast coffee and they did a nice pour over for me(I think it was the owner himself).

Service was a little slow but overall was a great experience. I came in in the morning around 10ish and ordered a caprese crêpe. The crêpe was good and tasty, although didn’t felt super fresh. The lady at the cashier was super nice, and overall was a good experience if you are on the area. The crêpe is a good filling portion, and the price was pretty decent for what you get!

Went today to kill sometime. The coffee and crepes were okay but they really need to work on customer service. The younger guy with black hair slicked back, is very abrasive, off-standish, and rude with customers and needs to learn not to vocalize his frustrations. I almost felt like I was annoying him with my order. On the other hand, the younger black girl was actually quite kind and attentive. I had an Americano which was fine, if not a bit weak. Boyfriend had a tuxedo which was a bit too sweet. Strawberry Nutella Crêpe was an average crêpe but pretty good. Over all, don’t go out of your way to go here.

I was pretty bad, rubbery and very hard. I was hoping for something soft and delicate but there are so many others in the bay! I will find a good one.

I love this place. It’s very cozy inside with nice art work on the walls. The seating is very comfortable, although I wish there was a little more space inside. On a nice day or night they have seating outside as well. Their menu looks nice with many options. I watched them making crepes while I waited in line. They looked delicious! I ordered a large americano with a slice of chocolate cake. My drink came in a really nice ceramic cup and tasted phenomenal. To me, they’re bean selection is of really good quality. The slice of chocolate cake was rich and flavorful and complimented my drink. The service was outstanding and helped round out my experience as a great first time that will have me be a repeat customer. It’s location is great since it’s downtown next to the theatre and many restaurants. This place is a great way to start or end your day!

Eko is definitely a 3.5star for me, but I think sometimes the quality can be hit or miss. I come here exclusively for crepes and avoid the drinks, especially the milk tea. There are two kinds of crepes: thick, fluffy, cooked through ones and thinner, elastic, and slightly doughy ones. Eko’s crepes fall in the latter category; they’re not necessarily bad, just different from some people may be used to. The first couple of times I tried Eko, I admittedly wasn’t quite used to the texture and feel of the crepes themselves. As time wore on, I came to appreciate the thinness and elasticity of the dough. It’s really not able to be cooked completely thoroughly or else the whole thing would feel dry and overly crunchy. With that being said, the crepes are on the pricier side, but I do enjoy the different combinations offered. My favorites include: Banana Nutella crêpe: ( ) There are days where I enjoy just the creamy sweetness of bananas, and the bananas complement the doughy crêpe quite well. The Nutella and whipped cream are of course nice accents, and I appreciate that they are never piled on so they overwhelm the other elements. Strawberry Nutella crêpe with ice cream: ( ) More often, I prefer the strawberry version to the above, since the juiciness and texture of strawberries is irresistible. Ice cream can be added to any crêpe for an extra charge, and while I’m not a huge ice cream junkie, I can enjoy the added cold sweetness on a warm day. Strawberry and Banana Nutella crêpe: ( ) And of course, most days I opt for the combination of strawberry, banana, and nutella. I think this is at a slightly higher price point, but I don’t usually mind. The whipped cream really compliments the tartness of the strawberries and sweetness of the bananas, and the thinness of the crêpe allows the other components to shine, which I prefer since I love the taste of fresh fruit. Eko’s crepes may not be for everyone, but I enjoy them every now and then. There have been a couple times where the crepes were somewhat undercooked, but nothing disastrous enough to keep me from coming back.

Love to sit here, drink my coffee and watch the world go by! The staff are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Coffee is good and they make nice cup of tea too. Being a Brit chick, I’m pretty fussy when it comes to a nice cup of tea but they did good! Never tried the crepes but they look to die for! Yum! Pretty cool place

I picked this place based on Unilocal pictures– the latte art was cute. I was disappointed that there wasn’t any latte art when I got my matcha latte though– false advertisement. The crepes were good. We enjoyed the salmon crêpe and the strawberry nutella crêpe. A(free) parking garage was conveniently located nearby.

Since I moved to Hayward in April I’ve been wanting to try this place, finally went. The café is actually quite large with lots of places to sit. It was super comfortable we sat at these couch chairs and had a little coffee so cozy. Me and my friend ordered the Capri crêpe I think that’s what it was called, it was the first crêpe on the menu with mushrooms cheese tomatoes no meat. Very light but filling, we split that and ordered a large peppermint mocha, she gave us an extra cup so we could split it as well. Overall, the food and drinks are really fresh, you see them make your crêpe right there, it came out nice and fresh in like 5 – 7 minutes really fast! I’ll definitely be returning here to try some of the other crepes on the menu. Parking isn’t too bad but you will have to look for a spot, we had about a 5 min walk to the place.

I’d have to agree with the other Unilocalers in saying that this place has pretty soggy crepes — I think they were undercooked. There wasn’t even any brown on it. — $ 5.95 for turkey + cheese crêpe: soggy/mushy/undercooked indeed — Green tea latte didn’t have enough green tea powder, so it just tasted like soy milk Overall, sorta cute place — but like the other reviewers say, the crepes + drinks need some work. Also, it’s sorta weird to have picnic table wax paper on top of all the paper plates.

Drinks are wonderful but crepes need work! They were soggy/not completely cooked and the fruit was mushy/falling apart. The whipped cream was the best part. I did enjoy my mocha as well as a black tea though. Cute and quiet place to hang out and read a little.
