This place has no identity! It’s so sparsely and barely decorated. They have Cases at the front full of packaged oreos, and nothing. I really hope they get the interior going, they could make a ton of money, with all the county offices in the area. Ummm, I used to live the breakfast burritos from diggers and no they are not the same. But they are OK. Little lacking in flavour now. Weird tortilla too. Probably won’t be back. Really nice staff. …

Don’t go here if you want to be served by an idiot staff on a Sunday. It’s not worth waiting an hour for a to go order, which they completely forgot the toast. Why call in advance if you’re still going to take hella long? Ridiculous.

Looking for Diggers Dinner and found Coco’s in it’s place. First impression at the interior is to turn and Run. But I’m adventurer and decided to stay in spite of the run down look of the place. Floors dirty, tables old, old setting, and overall the look of a a real dive. So, I stay and have a seat. Fast service, drink ordered and delivered quickly. Menu is sticky and has a bland apperiance. Order burger and fries. Food arrives hot, but for some reason the fries are limp, and not crispy. Are the old, sitting around too long, not sure. I am sure they are not good. The burger is as ordered, med. well with everything on it. Finish and pay. A very non-discrip lunch of med to poor quality and freshness. Would I recommend, NO I would not. Some advice from a customer to the owners. Clean or redo the floors, clean the menus. How about Uniforms for the wait staff. Liven up the overall feel of the restaurant. Just my thoughts. Will I return, No. Good luck to the new owners.

I’ve been to Choco’s twice since they converted from Digger’s. I was a Digger’s fan, and sad to see them go. Having said that, Choco’s has a lot of the same staff, and the menu is very similar(and still delicious!). The first time I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Burger. The burger was moist and delicious, and the mushrooms were cooked nicely. I also asked for grilled onions instead of fresh ones, and these were also nicely grilled. The price was a buck or so higher, but the burgers now come with fries or a side salad instead of being stand-alone. I took my husband this morning, and we had the Choco’s special omelette. I asked if they could do a scramble instead of an omelet, and Dan, the awesome waiter, made that happen. It was still a huge plate, with our choice of fruit, country potatoes, or hash browns(we went for the country potatoes.), as well as a side of toast. My hubby and I split it, and we were both full. There were lots of veggies(including broccoli and zucchini) and meats in the scramble. The choices are still there, although the names on the menu are different. It’s still delicious! The wait staff are very attentive & friendly, and our meals came out really quickly. We will continue to come back and bring friends to show them our local café.

Things I liked best about Choco’s diner were the comfortable seating, friendly service, great menu and very good food. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado on a Croissant. The food was good and the service was fast. We ate here for brunch on a Sunday and after seeing all the menu choices I will be back. Other positives are the location and plenty of parking.

I keep trying to find a day to finally try this new place since I loved diggers so much, but it is always close when I go. Around like 6pm. If anyone knows the hours of this place please post them !

Much to my dismay, was totally not impressed with the dining experience. The mushroom swiss burger featured a rather dry and tasteless patty, an overwhelming amount of lettuce, and what seemed like canned mushrooms. The cheese was bleh, not very flavorful or existant. The plastic cups for our drinks were cracked and chipped. The French fries were ok, but plain shoe-string style. the only good thing was their Ranch. I was so hopeful, but will not be returning.

I went here because there aren’t many diners in the area other than black bear and I thought I’d give it a shot since it’s under new ownership. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and a side of bacon. I can’t say exactly what it was, but the steak had kind of an odd sour taste to it, to the point where I didn’t finish it. The eggs, potatoes and bacon were fine but was let down. Service was good, not too busy, but I probably won’t be returning.

I love it, the food quality is really very good, The portion is huge and the price is really cheap. I ordered a burger here 21/3lb patties with Bacon and 2 fried eggs, lots of cheese and grilled onion etc. I think it is called Mom’s and Pop’s, it came with large portion of Fries as well … I dined in all for only 10.95 $ ! I wonder how was that possible to serve all that amount of food with such a good quality and then charge only 10.95 $? I ll be back again for sure,

I’m not one to write reviews, but in this case I will. I have visited Choco’s Diner twice. The first time I just got a bagel to go while my significant other ordered a meal. My bagel didn’t feel over toasted but was hard and tasted stale as if it was left out most of the day. When we went back to give the place a second try, we ordered to go and took a seat by the front of the registers and the cooks. Usually I don’t keep track of time while waiting for our meals because I don’t want to feel like a pest to the workers but I realized 30 minutes past without anyone coming to check on us(while many of the employees have passed by us numerous times). As soon as I got up to check on the wait of our meals the young lady that took our order came up to us and asked us what our order was. At this point it was very clear that our meals haven’t been cooked at all. We were told that it looked like our ticket was missing. We weren’t asked or promised to comp our meal and remake it like most places would after having such mishap. All we were asked was to repeat our order or if we wanted a refund. We took the refund and left a little upset hoping that the situation could’ve been handled a lot better.

My favorites are still there and it looks like menu items were renamed but still intact. No longer given 3 eggs with breakfast and the price has gone up slightly. French toast and the full bacon and hot link breakfast are still delicious with the choice of country potatoes instead of hashbrowns. Didn’t have any issues with service even though I went in during the lunch rush. For those who love diggers it may be disorienting to see that they made the walls a soft beige and the 80s music has been replaced with the sports channel on the only tv they have. But I would come back, because the food is still worth it.

For those who think it is just Diggers with a name change: no, it really isn’t, pretty much every menu item I used to order is no longer available; the weekend hours are much shorter(they’ve recently extended them to 3pm — they were shorter at first and we missed brunch two weekends in a row because of that); the décor is dull. It’s not all bad tho’: the menu has expanded in some areas; the food is still really good; they’ve hired a bunch of new wait staff and the service is good. They do great poached eggs(Diggers would not do those at the weekend), the coffee is reasonable(I rarely drink coffee in restaurants due to how bad most American coffee is!), the hash browns actually arrive crispy if you ask for that(something Diggers struggled with). The best part of today’s visit was our waiter Dan who was attentive, polite, and funny. It’s not our favorite brunch place but it’s good enough that we’ll continue to eat here despite it «not being Diggers».

Came in and ordered some food to go. After waiting for 30 minutes at the table closest to the registers, the person who took our order asked«what was your order again?» Turns out they lost our order ticket and my options were to repeat my order to the incompetent worker so I could wait for them to make my order or a refund .I took the refund. Owners of the place did not give a crap of what went down, they just went to the back and ignored the issue. Choco Diner wasted my time on a Saturday afternoon. We sat next to the register and had employees passing by every 15 seconds. Nobody checked on us the whole time we were there and it was not even close to being busy. I really wanted to like this place, the sad part is that my girlfriend didn’t want to go here because she had a bad experience that last time we were here and I convinced her to give them another chance . I hate giving bad reviews, but c’mon

First off Choco is still pretty much Diggers diner. In fact it adds more to the menu than last time. The front door still says Diggers Diner, why would they leave it there. Just because they changed their name doesnt mean their whole menu is different. I checked out Chocos and got what i always loved to get when it was still Diggers. Bacon Cheese Burger with Blue Cheese, a side of Fries, and with a strawberry milk shake is still the same. Dont forget the fried candy which you can still get. For the people who are rating this because it looks different shouldn’t be rating restaurants anymore.

This place used to be Digger’s Diner — my go to for a cheap and delicious breakfast. I was heartbroken to see that it became something new, but I was still willing to give it a chance. So, when I walked into Choco’s diner I wasn’t really impressed. The skeletons and bright colors of the place have been turned to a bland and boring beige color. When I was looking at the menu, some of the prices went up, but I ordered my usual which is three eggs, hashbrowns, and my choice of meat. The food tastes the same, which is okay. What WASN’T okay with me was that when I was watching the cooks prepare food, THEYWERENOTWEARINGGLOVES. I don’t know about anyone else, but I became sick to my stomach because that’s just down right disgusting as well as a health risk. It was a major turn off, and even though the food was okay I will not be coming back.

Digger’s was a favorite spot to stop when traffic on 880 was worse than normal. Stroll in at 2:58 and notice the name change. Decide to give it a try anyways. After a minute or so of waiting for a table, the only server in the place(with his hands full) hastily tells me that they stop serving at 3(Saturday hours for Diggers were much later). After reading the reviews on the Digger’s page after the switch to Choco’s, I’m sad to see that it’s gone downhill so quickly. Guess I’ll have to go to Concord for my Digger’s fix.

Well well well… Don’t even know where to begin. Thinking it’s still diggers we walk in, looks like the same waitresses but no more wall art. Ohh what do I see new coffee cups and menus, I won’t lie it took us 5 minutes to place an order… It took us 45 minutes to get our order. Husbands food was cold to touch, I wait 5 min to see if waitress comes back and nope she didn’t, by this time we had been sitting for more than 50 min. I get up with his plate in hand and find a waitress. She gladly took it back. When the plate comes back. They had nuked it in the microwave! Who does that? And my over medium eggs were well done :(soo sad. It’s usually hard to mess up eggs.

This is a better than average diner, but a far cry from what I used to be before Digger’s was sold and became Choco’s. My breakfast burrito was okay, but it had a bunch of zucchini in it which wasn’t good. The bacon and French toast were alright.
