We have been there three times before, but he quality of their food has gone way down. The service was mediocre to almost rude. Will not be going there again.

We have eaten there about 6 times in the last few months. The sushi is fresh and fantastic! The hibachi dinners are also delicious. They do not cook in front of you but we like that sometimes as it it a more quiet atmosphere and they don’t try to rush you out!

Amazing sushi! Go before 3pm for the lunch special, 3 sets of rolls for $ 12 or 2 sets for $ 10 and that includes soup. The hibachi is really good too. Staff is very friendly.

We went there just for curiosity and my daughter really wanted to try a new place. It’s a great place, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and super fresh sushi! Not bad price wise either. Between the 2 of us it came to $ 58.00. We shared 3 rolls of sushi and 3 nigiri pieces and each had a hibachi entrée. No room for dessert. Plenty of parking and easy to get back on route 15 /I 66. It was weird to get the entrees Before the sushi however. But we didn’t care… so good! We will be back!

Love this place! The sushi is so delicious and fresh. The wait staff is very friendly, and you can tell the chef cares. It is like he is an artist with the food and plating.

I’ve gotten take-out sushi from here before and it was excellent so when my family and I decided to go out for dinner this was where we chose to go. We were seated fairly quickly. However, that was the last contact we had with anyone. We waited 10 minutes for someone to take a drink order. No one came to the table. There were about 6 tables of 2 – 4 people when we got there. Not overly busy. Yet we still couldn’t get a server to even acknowledge our presence. After the 10 minute mark our son started to get antsy. We debated for another 5 minutes about waiting before we finally left. Still no acknowledgement. I don’t care how good the sushi was the first time. I refuse to pay money to an establishment that doesn’t even bother to acknowledge my presence.

This is the place to go for sushi and sake. The service is awesome, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice. We have tried the haru maki(spring rolls), gyoza and crab rangoon appetizers. All were great. The sushi rolls we have tried are the rainbow, crazy, godzilla and romantic rolls. We added jalapeños to them all which gives it a little kick. Their martinis are good… but their sake selection rocks as well. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. It’s a little pricey, but great sushi isn’t cheap!

Sakura is one of the solid options in Gainesville/Haymarket area. Wait staff is friendly. The place is always clean. Food is very good. I am giving it a 4 because of the variety that the place is serving. The items in their menu are the typical in «American» Japanese Restaurants. And once again, please don’t get me wrong, the food in Sakura is very good. I am thinking more variety would take them to the 5 star Unilocal rating. Maybe kamameshi, ramen, Okonomiyaki, etc.

The place is nice and clean and its very quiet. Waitress was friendly. We ordered the hibachi vegetable and hibachi chicken. They were super good, but considering we ordered the dinner portion they were super small. Nothing was left on our plates. We are still hungry!

Great food and staff. The hibachi is really good however you don’t get the hibachi«experience» and that’s ok with me. It’s always quiet even when the place is packed. Really nice environment.

Pretty neat place. I love Summer, my server. She’s always so sweet and great at providing great service. I go here for the sushi, they have a good lunch special/sushi combo. Sometimes it gets a little too pricey. but the quality is good. Wish they would start having a happy hour on apps/sushi & drinks. that’d be awesome!

Bottom line, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. This was 3rd trip in the past 3 months, usually we order several tuna and crab rolls, but this evening we ordered the Dinner Box, which included Miso Soup and fresh salad for starters, then the main course consisted of a perfect medium rare tender grilled teriyaki steak(my wife had the grilled chicken) and steamed sliced veggies, 2 veggie egg rolls, deep fried Tempura Shrimp and veggies, and also a fresh handmade California Roll. Everything was cooked, seasoned, and served to perfection. Service is prompt and friendly. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and each time, the food and service have been OK. If you’re looking for the hibachi experience, you should go elsewhere as the food is prepared in the kitchen. Again, everything was just okay for the price.

We went here a few months ago and were not very pleased. It took awhile for is to get our food and when we did the food was not very tasty. For what little we ordered it was pricey.

We’ve been a few times and the food was surprisingly good. We only had the hibachi. It’s everything you get at an expensive Japanese steak house without the fuss. Unsure how the sushi is. It’s clean and new inside but the lights can be overwhelmingly bright, I like dimmed lighting for dinner. They also have paper takeout menus which is weird but not bothersome.

They served bad salmon in their sushi! My wife and I ordered three sushi rolls, all with salmon in them, and she said the fish tasted like it had been sitting out all day. We opened a roll and the salmon was not the right color and smelled badly. I then called to request a refund and was told I had to drive all the way back with the remaining sushi because«anyone could have eaten the sushi and asked for a refund.» Now my wife is feeling nauseous. Awful food and atrocious service. We will never be going back to this place again and will ensure anyone we know who likes sushi does not waste their money or stomaches here either!

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was good, from the salad to the sushi. Service was excellent as well as the presentation.

Drove my this place as I was going to Walmart. I’ve got to say that I am impressed with their sushi. I usually go to fairfax for sushi at sushi prince, but I live in Manassas and this is a bit closer. I don’t think it is better than sushi prince but it’s a close second. I had spicy tuna roll and crazy tuna roll. Both were delicious! I especially enjoyed the crazy tuna roll because it was not too deep fried like other places that have mostly roll and no filling. I would def recommend this place to family friends and coworkers. Enjoy!

Last night I had the Spicy Tuna roll and the Godzilla roll. My husband had Steak and Chicken Hibachi. He enjoyed his food very much and I have to say that the sushi rolls were the best I’ve ever had, and we’ve had sushi from many places. Everything was fresh and delicious. The soup was distinct and served hot, our spring roll was perfectly fried and not soggy. The salad dressing, I’m told is made in house, was so delicious that I’m making it my mission to find a recipe that is similar so I can make it. The Godzilla roll has replaced all others as my favorite, and I can’t wait to go back. The only downside was that my husband’s Hibachi dinner came about 8 minutes before my sushi rolls.(This happened also at another sushi place in Gainesville and a café in Haymarket). Getting main courses delivered to my table at different times is one of my biggest pet peeves. Despite the glitch in service, I’m still giving Sakura Grill a 5 star rating. Our order consisted of sweet tea, Sprite, Spring Roll appetizer, Chicken and Steak Hibachi, Godzilla Roll and Spicy Tuna roll. It came with soup and salad. Our total plus tip was just over $ 60.

Two stars for the price and portions. We ordered a philadelphia roll — which tasted like it had ham in it — it was so weird — and their spider roll — which was flavorful but was a bit difficult to eat with how they served it. See included picture. Also ordered a side of fried dumplings which were good. Service was quick and very friendly. But way over prices and very small portions. We left hungry. I’ve been to a number of other sushi places that were better tasting and cheaper so I am reluctant to give them another try.
