Tried this place out again and got a different dish and it was very good. I guess they just have bad general tso chicken but the other dishes i have trued were very good

When Asian Garden first opened, the food was fantastic. However, it has gotten worse and worse every year. We keep giving it one more chance, because it is convenient, but the food is so bad lately, we won’t try again. I ordered take out the other night. The Hot and Sour soup was mostly broth and not much else in it. It was pretty tasteless as well. The string beans in the Sliced Chicken w/Young Ginger Root were old tasting, hard and chewy. The Combination Lo Mein was mostly noodles. Could only find 2 shrimp in it! All in all, everything was pretty awful. Glad there is finally a new restaurant in the same strip mall to give Asian Garden some needed competition.

We have been calling –in carry-out since we moved to Domnion Valley in 2008& have yet to be dissatisfied. Tonight I ordered Mandarin Crispy Beef & it was delicious & my favorite todate. Their food is always fresh and highly recommend this place for quick asian carry-out! We also love the Pu Pu platter under appetizrs(alot of food the price).

Good Chinese food, –1 star because it’s a bit expensive. But they deliver and the restaurant is nice. Definitely our Chinese food of choice and the sushi is good too.

The best Chinese food ever. I come here at least once a week. Kids can eat here as well. I hate my I phone though… I asked them to deep fry it with my egg rolls and it’s really greasy now.

I really was in the mood for Chinese food so I decided to give them another chance hoping I would not shoot myself in the foot yet again. I found you can order from them online that was an unexpected surprise, so I did, when husband came back with the booty I sighed and opened the boxes. to my shock all three dishes were actually good, what you say good yes maybe they changed cooks not sure but hey! I guess I will try them again at some point and let you all know how it went cross your fingers and toes for me.

I usually get their Pu Pu Platter, which is quite tasty. Tonight I decided to try something different. I ordered their Seafood Delight which calls for Shrimp, Scallops and Crab Legs. There was shrimp. There was not one scallop and the crab was that fake crap that has no name and no taste. There was 1 gritty, chewy piece of real crab meat. For $ 17.50, I got screwed. I also usually order sushi of some kind. It’s usually good but very poorly wrapped and most of the roll is opened because they scrimp on the seaweed covering. Tonight, it was an after thought. Half of the sushi was coming apart by the time i got it. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement, and the dish I ordered was definitely false advertising. I’ll most likely not order from them again.

WAAAYY overpriced! Quality of food not that great. I have seen places in NYC and San Diego that charge 8.00 for pad thai. Will not be going here.

A deluxe version of a shopping mall Panda Express. Try East Ocean in Haymarket near Kohl’s.

Consistently good Chinese style food makes this place the real winner in Haymarket. Food is well prepared and spiced to one’s desire

The food is absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. My SO is especially a fan of Asian food and has tried it in many places(including different countries in Asia obviously). He tried the Kung Po I ordered and said it was the best Kung Po Chicken he’d ever eaten. His entrée(garlic beef) was also delicious, and all the appetizers were perfect. The spring rolls do not have meat, just in case you’re curious. Our service was perfect, and I’m sure any issues with service from other reviewers are surely an anomaly. We didn’t try anything from the Thai/Japanese part of the menu, but I certainly plan to. Prices were quite reasonable. They do have a carryout menu, and even deliver if you happen to live nearby.

The only good thing about this place is the food was really good. Our server decided she didn’t want to clean our table after our sushi, soup, and then egg rolls where finished. I even made it easy for her by placing the plates together and by the edge of the table after each dish. It also took way too long for our main dish to come out. It doesn’t take long to make general tsos chicken. What made our experience even worse, was when we where walking out, the 3 workers at the front paid us no mind. I will not be going back and I don’t recommend anyone supporting Asian Garden

Food was good but customer service was very poor… We arrived for dinner at 7pm friday and there was no wait. Service was very slow because 3 other parties were seated before we even had our drink order taken… And other tables That ordered after us got there food first. Waitress let plates stack up on the table but we were nice enough to stack them aside for her. When our main dish came we had no room on the table… while we were leaving the managers were up front by the hostess station watching us leave… Didn’t get a thank you or goodnight. They just stood there staring.

Recent visit for lunch. Ordered twice cooked pork and it came with soup. Hot and sour soup was unlike it typically is. It seemed to have a different dark broth. It was below average. The pork was in a heavy brown sauce that was too strong and was barely edible. It tasted like a concentrated sauce was not diluted properly before it was used. The fried rice was also not good and it was switched out for plain rice. The plain rice was fine. One star for the food. Three stars for waitstaff service and ambiance.

Yum! My husband and I moved to Haymarket yesterday, and have been eating out for every meal. The Heavenly Chicken was delicious! Crispy and saucy. We will definitely frequent this restaurant!

Best(American) Chinese food out in the western suburbs… no other competition until you had back east toward the city.

The food here is excellent as an Asian fusion restaurant all it is missing is good sushi. I love the flavor and price is unbeatable in the area. Check this place out! It is excellent.

My husband and I just moved to Haymarket and we love this place! I’m not a big Chinese fan but I LOVE their general tsos chicken it is so good. My husband has gotten other things that he absolutely loved. We have been here about 10 times and always order to go to bring it home. It’s always hot and fresh. We highly recommend.

Came for an impromptu lunch during a soccer tourney. Didn’t see the times & showed up ½ hr before the restaurant opened but the owner/manager waived us in! Points for that. We got the shrimp fried rice & sizzling beef and scallops. Pretty typical Americanized Chinese food but everything was competently done & service was nice. Also points for nice décor… definitely above average for a Chinese restaurant!

Great service –friendly & fast. However I prefer the one in Bristow. The food there is way better. Even when I’ve come @9 to Bristow the food is ALWAYS consistent. Came to Haymarket @9 — miso soup was lukewarm and the sushi rice was a lil stale. But overall it was good– maybe chef was tired? Asian garden is fairly good still.
