I’m only giving a star because you have to give at least one. Skip this. Not even the rice was good, flavorless and mushy. Yuck! Bbq chicken was dry. Shrimp were mostly breading. Pretty horrible all around.

The food is good here and it’s pretty cheap! They’re so helpful and nice to you. The energy from the employees is good as well.

3 stars for the $ 2.99 chicken bowls! quality fast food whenever your on a budget. The only thing that would complete this place is consistent hours of operation. seems like they open and close at whatever time they want. which is okay because i am always lucky enough to find them open right before they close. Definetely a recommended spot if your in Hawthorne!

This place is horrible. My family and I came to eat here before our drive back to Vegas and I was so disappointed! The name of this place is misleading, nothing on the menu screams Huli Huli! I had the beef huli huli chow mein which was so bland! My bf had the loco moco which was horrible it tasted like a frozen burger patty overcooked and there wasnt enough gravy that we ended uploosing our appetite and getting our money back. The only thing Hawaiian about this place is the Hawaiian Sun juice displayed up front.

The name of the restaurant is a little misleading. I came to this restaurant expecting good Hawaiian food but most of the stuff on the menu are chinese food. Decent Kalua pork though but definitely not good.

I came here one day after running some errands on this side of town and was really looking for a good place to eat. For anyone who knows me, I love my Hawaiian food and I saw the sign of the restaurant and immediately thought Huli Huli Chicken. Went in there and it wasn’t what I expected it to be. They had all the local Hawaiian foods except for the Huli Huli Chicken. I was really bummed out they didn’t have that on the menu but I ordered the Katsu Chicken plate lunch… sorry to say it was the worst Katsu Chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken strips wasn’t fried long enough, the white rice and potato salad was good but I thought the potato salad could have been chilled. The leafy green salad had top ramen noodles that went soggy by the time I was ready to eat it. It was definitely a horrible experience. I ended up throwing 90% of the food away. I wouldn’t recommend anybody going there. Although they do have Hawaiian juices from Hawaii in stock, which I think is probably the safest thing to consume there because it is can sealed. My one star is for the Hawaiian Juices.

I don’t know what happened a couple years ago but this place is really good! One of the reviews said the chicken is too crispy, but… it’s fried chicken. Umm… isn’t it suppose to be crispy? The meal comes with a free Hawaiian drink or vegetables, your choice. The BBQ chicken is juicy and tender. And the short ribs are deelish! I really enjoyed this place I just wish they would have music inside /:

Three years later and they still do not open at their posted time. Sign says 11 a.m. And I was here at 11:20 and the chains are still on the door. Fucking pathetic.

Doesn’t compare with other Hawaiian BBQ spots in the area at all. I came here and ordered the Katsu chicken and Beef combo. I’ll say the beef was good, but the Katsu was fried too hard and had too much fat in it. Also, the potato salad/mac salad was gross. I won’t be back… that’s all folks! If you’re looking for a great Hawaiian BBQ spot, try Waikiki Grill on Crenshaw and 120th.

Actually, it’s not as bad as the reviews seem to indicate. I had the chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combination. Both were cooked fresh. the chicken was moist and the katsu was cooked perfectly. I wasn’t too fond of the potato/macaroni salad, sounds good right, 2-in-1, pretty bland and the grittiness of the potato made the macaroni just feel dirty. Finally, the rice was good. nothing kills your whole meal like bad rice. This was perfectly cooked, not undercooked, not mushy.

Don’t come here thinking you’re going to get some bomb Hawaiian food. If you want to put something in your stomach fast and don’t want Taco Bell or McDonalds. They have an Anniversary Bowl special for $ 1.99 right now that is edible and will get alleviate your hunger.

Hawaiian food less than a block away from my hotel! Decent, good portions and value. The spam musubi is a great to go snack! Will repeat when I’m back in the area.

This place is good. I loved the teriyaki bowl for $ 3. For the price it couldn’t be beat, and it was filling. I also loved loved loved the shrimp for $ 2. I got one order, shared it and immediately went back in for a second one. 4 stars for the shrimp alone! The wait time is a little slow, and the bathroom could seriously use some graffiti removal. And what’s up with not having any free water? I’ve been cutting back on the sweet drinks and I couldn’t even get complimentary water with my meal! Please skip the house special bowl. When I saw it I immediately thought of canned dog food. It tasted just like what I thought dog food would taste like. I know it’s cheap, but skip it! You’ve been warned! All bad things aside, I would definitely come back. Where else can you go and get 5 shrimp, teriyaki and rice for under $ 5?

Came here cause i was at the hotel right next door on a field trip with my students. We all ordered some food from here. It was alright, it hit the spot. Nothing to go off raving about. Its a good alternative from the Mcdonalds on the corner.

If you love Hawaiian food then don’t come here. I was craving macaroni salad and shortribs and decided to try this local spot. Was impressed with the portion size and couldn’t wait to get home to eat. I went straight for the macaroni which looked mushy. It was extremely bland and they added potato! WTF?! Short ribs were all fat and bone and not very appetizing. Not sure why theyre still in business with the slop theyre serving.
