City Wide Towing

Fair Lawn parking I am paying for was full. Left my car at the empty parking lot behind the CVS Panera Bread at FL Avenue. Came back from work to find out that my car was towed by Citi Wide.
Charges — Towing — $ 125(5 miles), Labor ($ 75), Storage — $ 40, Admin Fee — $ 35 + taxes — $ 285.50 total
CASH ONLY!!!
Legal extortion. Stay away from them.

So my car broke down and was left in a private lot at Stop and Shop. I made the mistake of going to work and leaving my car. City Wide towed my car … I work long hours so I found out about my car when it was too late to pick it up. I picked my car up first thing in the morning and was charged 339 $. 125 $ Tow 75 $ Labor 90 $ 2 day storage, even though my car was left there less than 24hours, 35 $ Admin fee… plus tax.
The place is a scrap yard … The receptionist was rude and obnoxious …
I ended up calling another tow company to get my car from them. The only joy I got from this experience, was watching the receptionist and a driver fight and show their true professionalism. Plus it was cash only !! Absolutely ridiculous !!! There are better tow companies out there, even if you used a horse and carriage. I do not recommend this place.

Ask for Able. That is the kind hearted gentleman who took my car on a flat bed to my mechanic. The tow truck was there when the dispatcher said it would be there and they did their jobs as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible. City Wide is lucky to have people such as Able working for their big and busy company. I will be definately using them in the future.
