My husband and I have been using Christine’s for years. I think she does fantastic alteration work — she altered 2 of my ball gowns over the last 3 years and they always fit me like they were tailored made for me. She’s the only person in a 100 mile radius I would let touch my husbands Marine Corps Uniforms. Every time we go to her, she is practically a miracle worker. Her prices are fair and she is honest with you about the work she does. However, it can take a good amount of time to get your items altered and I almost always assume they will not be ready by the date she has promised them. To many times I have walked in and been told«Oh you’ll have to come back tomorrow!» which can be very very frustrating. Recently my ball gown took over a week from the date she promised it would be ready(which was about 10 days after the date I dropped it off.) I understand that she is the best know clothing alterations store in the area so around Ball season it can take her some extra time. I just wish she would say that from day one and not have me stopping in several times only to leave empty handed. We keep going back because she really is great at her job and that is so important when you are handing her clothing items that cost hundreds of dollars a piece. Plus, Christine is a hilarious and very kind woman — I would rather give her my business and deal with the frustrations of later wait times than to go somewhere where the business owner wasn’t as kind spirited as she is. I would also note she does not accept cards, but has an on-site ATM.

I dropped off a pair of jeans to be hemmed on a Monday. The woman who took my information wasn’t able to answer any questions and had to refer to someone else(I’m guessing Christine) for the answers. Christine was too busy herself to look at my jeans because she was sitting eating lunch and talking to a friend in the main area of the store. I go back on Friday to pick up my jeans and they hadn’t been touched. Apparently she had questions for me about them. She had my phone number. I asked her why she didn’t call me with her questions and she replied that she was too busy to call me. Completely unprofessional. There’s no way they’ll be getting my business… and trust me, it could have been substantial.
