I do not recommend this service. They are a for profit place and gouge on green«waste» compostables. I saw the service online on a Meridian county website and it was not clear what they charged. Seems money items like deposit bottles are«free» but green stuff is a crazy $ 15/yard3 with no discretion on weight. I did not realize the method since it was not described and the attendant only came by to charge when I was mostly unloaded. I carried one loosely stacked plywood sheet size trailer of bush clippings(maybe 30 – 50 lbs max) and got billed $ 30. Crazy for something that rots right away. Likely one dollar per lb for something that does not get put in a landfill !!! I carried about 4x this amount in construction waste(landfill stuff) and got billed $ 19 for the same trailer. I complained via email. The own reports that he is trucking the stuff to a company and then paying them for grinding/composting. It is NOT sound to truck, load, unload, load, truck again, … That is very wasteful for something like this. Evidently this place will happily take money making donations and bill to the max on stuff like this. I recommend taking things of value to MSU recycle center. They will put the money made to better use and probably have a more rational and efficient setup. Unfortunately, I don’t think they take green compostables though. MSU deserves the support. This place does not. A footnote: I first posted a similar negative review on google. Within a few hours the owner wrote me insulting me and was bragging about his positive reviews. This puzzled me since when I wrote my Google review it was the first when I entered it. So I surfed by and did a sort. It appears he posted 3 fake reviews(presumably lies) after my honest negative review. This place is sleazy and deserves no patronage.
