Zeke was fantastic and totally calmed my nerves for my first tattoo. He did an excellent job and clearly explained the instructions. He was very personable during the entire process.

Just got my nose pierced by Joe the piercer there. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy but, inside is very clean and comforting. Joe makes you feel very comfortable and calms your nerves a lot. He also gives you a lot of information about after care. Overall really great experience.

I forget the artist’s name but I went here to get a neck tattoo, which came out fabulous. The shading and detail, and color came out beautifully just like the picture he drew. After the guy was finished I decided I wanted to add a few little hearts to make it complete. He told me to come back in 2 weeks and he would add them in for an additional $ 20, which was fine. Two weeks later I came back he added the hearts and told me to keep the $ 20 since the hearts were so minor.
Came in last week to get my son’s ear pierced for his bday. He was so nervous but the piercer was so patient and gentle with him and made him laugh. He made sure the placement was right and it came out perfect.
Pelican tattoo is a great place! No wonder they’ve been in business for so long.

I was recently tattoo at this shop… I had Rick and had a great experience … I went in with my idea and placement … He nailed both … Moreover I got a strong American Traditional tattoo… Rick at Pelican is an American traditional Tattooer ! If you know what that means!!! If you want a sold bold traditional tattoo go see this guy.
I cant speak for City slickers tattoo… but I’m glad I didn’t read that review first… if I had I would have missed out on a great tattoo at a great price point. Just saying!
I feel far to many people think that they know tattooing do to the over saturation of tattoo based shows on T.V. It’s not paint by numbers here… its tattoo! Covered in Warrior Paint!

Friendly, easy-​going, and professional staff. They all made my first piercing as painless as possible. Very informative and accepting of walk-​ins. The murals out front help them appropriately blend in with the predominantly Hispanic neighborhood that surrounds the parlor.

This is an excellent parlor. Everyone that works here is so nice and professional. Joe the owner and piercer is such a caring guy and will definitely calm your nerves if you’re getting a piercing. He did a great job piercing my septum. This was my first piercing and he did a great job explaining everything I had to do for the after care. Great thing about Joe is he doesn’t look like a typical piercer at all… you will see.
I have also been tattooed at Pelican but unfortunately the artist left. There are still other awesome tattoo artists at this shop that won’t let you down.
Pelican also has a variety of things for sale from hats, body jewelry, and sex toys.
I will definitely go back to Pelican for another piercing or maybe even a tattoo.
