Benjie’s was a great find! Although on Albany Ave, the inside was clean and had a nice atmosphere to it. The was was great! The boyfriend said it was the best Jamaican he’d ever had in the Hartford area. We ordered a Jerk Chicken and curry chicken, with rice and peas, and veggies (which were surprisingly German styled veggies with vinegar) we will definitely be back!
Just a heads up-​they sell out of food quickly. If you go towards the end of the day, they are known to run out of certain menu items (probably because the food is so delicious)

Their food is indeed delicious its WAS one of my favorite place to get Jamaican food when I crave it. The only issue is their staff is RUDE and DISHONEST, I mistakenly give the cashier $ 40 instead of $ 20 and he insisted that I only gave him $ 20 and that he will not double check the register. That’s not the way to conduct a business, the manger was EXTREMELY rude and DISRESPECTFUL. Also their credit card machine has been broken ever since they opened but their ATM machine works how convenient! They DO NOT value their customers! I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN! EVER! Go to Destiny across from the West Indian.
