This review is for delivery only– we ordered for a noon delivery and after 6 calls it arrived at 12:55. The food was good so we will consider using them again– but with pick up.

We arrived late in the evening so the offerings on the buffet looked a little tired so we ordered off the menu. Palak paneer, aloo gobi, chicken tikka and veg biriyani. The food was very good and authentic but it took over 45 minutes to get our food. Restaurant was full of dirty dishes and the floor was a mess.

Tried this place for the first time based on a coworkers great experiences here. We decided since this establishment is a mile from work to go here over our lunch break. When we arrived, we were the ONLY customers who were in the restaurant who needed to order. We ordered our food around 12:05PM. My coworker ordered food from the buffet, and I ordered a chicken gyro(VERY simple!) both orders to go. They experienced a small lunch rush of around 10 people shortly after we ordered our food. EVERYSINGLEPERSON who had ordered AFTER us was served before our to go order was delivered. We waited for 35MINUTES for our VERYSIMPLE order to be completed. We had to ask if the order was ready, which it was, around 12:40. What really angered me is that after paying, our order was STILLNOTCOMPLETE(and we had to wait an additional five minutes for a simple extra order of naan — which wasn’t even EXTRA, it was to come with the meal. My coworker asked for EXTRA naan, was charged for it, and DIDNOT receive it!). Here’s the kicker: every single person who ordered after us was Indian or of a close ethnicity. My coworker and I? Caucasian. I truly doubt that it’s a coincidence that we received such poor treatment and were the only Caucasian people in the establishment. No one else had to wait for anything — in fact, most of them received their food within 10 – 15 minutes. If you’re Caucasian, don’t go to this establishment without an ethnic friend — you’ll be treated like dirt. Absolutely disgusting behavior, and it’s a shame because the food is excellent — but based simply on the treatment we received, I’ll never return.

Best lamb chops in world… Best Kulcha, Samosa Chaat and Falooda you can get in this country… Kheer, Nihari and Kabobs are pretty good too… not great hygiene though… did not specifically like their curries… overall good food

Ordered from this place for the first time today. Everything was delicious. I had the chicken tikka, samosa, and garlic naan. Delivery was quick. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Good service, great food, lots of options, Good prices, fresh baked bread, We ended up ordering a lot of food(lunch next day!) The nihari was good, shrimp biryani was ok, mix grill was great, remember to try their chat papri, lahori chargha, and everything you have space for. They have a new hall too, i liked the new tables there. The bathrooms are clean. If you want Desi(Indo /Pak) greasy food, this is the place to be !!!

I’ve always heard that the best way to tell if an ethnic restaurant is good is if you see people of that ethnicity eating there. If that’s true, Lahori is an amazing place. I’m a local of German descent, but I’ve eaten at every Indian restaurant I’ve had a chance to. I could live on Indian food. That said, Lahori can be a frustrating and fun experience. The food is generally VERY good. I’ve had a few things that I wasn’t impressed with, but overall, it’s tasty stuff. While some Indian places tame down the spice factor for their customers, Lahori does not. If you’re not used to heat, you will sweat. It’s a good sweat, though. And no, not ALL of their food is spicy. Just, apparently, what I order ;) Here’s the downside to Lahori: don’t expect smiling faces or greetings. Or even much in the way of «thank you». I wouldn’t go so far to call the people behind the counter rude, as I think it’s more that they aren’t good with customers. I did go in once to find a very friendly younger lady, which was a great experience, but usually the older couple there are very aloof. Just be prepared for it and it won’t hit you the wrong way. Believe me — it’s definitely worth it to get to eat the food! I hope Lahori is around for a long time. Their hours are also a BIG plus… nice to be able to get pakoras so late!

I love Indian food, my husband proposed to me at my favorite Indian restaurant back home. So I’ve had my share of dishes. I decided to order from this restaurant for delivery(lazy and stormy day). We got chicken samosas, samosa chat, garlic naan, chana papri chat, and chicken tikka masala. Delivery was fast. The samosas, chana papri chat and chicken tikka masala were ok. Nothing that really made me go wow! I ordered the masala very spicy and I refuse to believe that is what I got. Little to no spice, that’s the only thing that really disappointed me. I will go back, maybe actually go for a dinner at the restaurant. See if that is any better. Overall, good. not great!

Excellent food. It’s in a strip mall, and not much on atmosphere, so set your expectations right… It’s exactly what I want in a divey kabob joint. Awesome fresh kabob, exceptional naan(perfect crispy/soft, not too heavy, etc), and the chutneys are unreal. Fresh, homemade spicy chutney and yogurt sauce makes it. Got the Lahori special platter — ground chicken was great, tandoori was good, but a little overcooked. With sauce and naan, was good. Prices are very good, like 2 – 3 bucks for two samosas, under ten for a good kabob meal…

Not amazing to my tastes, but I’d like to balance out some of the more critical reviews. Visited on a Wednesday evening, just a few people sitting having meals(though this included a couple of Pakistani nationals). Service was polite, cordial, and quick. The server gave a good explanation of some of the dishes to my friend… she even came by a couple of times during the meal to check on us. We ended up getting two«Combo» platters with one meat and one veg each, with tiny salads and a heaping basket of naan included… for $ 10 each, definitely a value. The food was decent, just spicy enough to be interesting and not overwhelming: Cauliflower and potatoes, butter chicken, lentils with spinach, and cubed goat. Meats were juicy and fell off the bone, and were nicely seasoned. This included a «chicken rice» base of seasoned basmati rice with a few pieces of chicken thrown in. A little greasy, to be sure, but again, not overly so… what I’d expect for $ 10: good food, fairly fresh, in good quantity. So, entrée with a soft drink from the cooler plus small tip, about $ 13 a person. There’s better quality food from the subcontinent to be had in Harrisburg, to be sure, but for the money, this is a terrific value, and I plan on going back soon. And the place is open til 11:00 pm daily… can’t beat that!

The food was pretty good overall. It took a pretty long time to be delivered but it was very warm when it arrived. I ordered a large sampling of different foods and everything was fine. My main dish was the goat curry and I felt that it was a little too watery but otherwise it was tasty. They did not provide utensils so I had to scrounge around my hotel and ended up having to eat everything with a coffee spoon which was frustrating. But as far as delivery goes, this did the job!

I have been to this place with my family and friends nearly 7 times and I would say that their quality is declining with time. Here is what you should eat and not eat at this place: DONOTEAT — Breakfast and halwa puri related stuff — only try these when you are in a mood of throwing away your well earned money and get a bad start to your lovely morning. — Tea — sometimes OK, mostly not. — Don’t buy already prepared meals that are shown in the counter. They all taste alike and leave a bad taste in the mouth. EAT — Seekh or shish kabab — best so far and I take a dozen home every month. — Chicken bihari kabab — absolute delight — Papdi chaat — wonderful — Kulfi falooda — Lacha paraha — awesome Overall their bbq stuff is freshly prepared and tastes great and other than that one can have mixed experiences with the place. The person(the lady) who runs the counter is not at all friendly and seems to have frequent mood swings. They do not listen to your suggestions and keep doing things their way. So, if you are looking for food then this place is fine, but if you are looking for a good dining experience and a friendly staff, then forget about it. You won’t even feel like complaining even if you are served bad food because of the faces their staff makes. They used to be courteous to ask for your feedback about the food, but not anymore and now they are rigid and awkward.

Incredible food at a wonderful price… This restaurant really deserves 5-stars but really needs to focus on organization and cleaning. A lot of families were in tonight with a lot of kids. I would personally worry about my kids eating here because it had dirty tables and dirty floors.

This place is amazing. They have cheaper food than their competition in the area and it’s actually much better! The staff is a bit awkward, but they normally have at least one friendly staffer on and that’s a plus. They’re willing to bring the spice level down for those who can’t handle spicy dishes but still would like to enjoy. For the price you pay for the food, you get a LOT of food. Compared to another Indian restaurant in the area, *cough cough* Aangan *cough cough* you get a lot more food. The food is good, I haven’t been disappointed yet and I order from here at least 2x a month. Delivery time takes a while, but it’s well worth the wait. All in all, this is a place to definitely check out!

Absolutely amazing food. Best shish kabab i have ever had. I have ordered takeout few times and all the items were pretty good. Prices being low it attracts quite a few different range of people which always makes me nervous to go to this place for pickup. The lady at the front desk never ever smiled or greeted. Considering only the food i would order takeout and not dine in here

Don’t expect fancy ambiance. Food is very good though. During the 4 visits that I’ve made, have not tried anything vegetarian here. All chicken items have been good: 1) Chicken bihari kabab — excellent 2) Chicken seekh kabab — excellent 3) Keema nan — very good 4) Chicken shammi kabab — excellent The only item that I did not like was«Fried Fish». It was overcooked and hard. I would not recommend it.
