Field house gym in harker heights is a joke and the lady that does the day care there is lazy and doesn’t want to do her job. She tried lying and telling us my little boy tried to kick someone… I know my kid and he isn’t mean nor aggressive. From the time I dropped him off in there she was rude to both him and I… I felt uneasy leaving him in there cuz she wouldn’t even get off her ass to get a kid a drink they were asking for… She didn’t want to watch him because he’s 2 years old and he won’t sit still… U have to watch what he’s doing most of the time which is fine if she didn’t want him in there she should have said so but lying and being rude to a 2 year old is uncalled for. He did rip a poster down and she kicked him out of the room till I got there to pick him up… I then had a few words with her and demanded to speak to the owner… He shows up with an attitude and is rude… I then told him I want to cancel my membership and go somewhere else and he told the manager Lloyd yes it was fine that I cancel it… Since I only went 2 times after signing up I asked to get some of the 65 dollars it cost for the first month and Lloyd tells me he would speak to the owner and he would call me back… He called me back a day later and left a voice mail so I called him right back but I heard him tell the employee to tell me he was on lunch. For a week straight I called him and every time he was«busy»… The hell with this gym it was nasty anyways and if they can treat a 2 year old like that then they don’t need my business.

Nice gym. Simple, no BS that would be found at a gym like golds or another place. This is a gym at its simplest — no stupid rules, and something for everyone from a sauna, cardio area, a separate area for women if they want some privacy, a yoga/multi use room, a spot for crossfitters, and outdoor area for tire flips, and a huge selection of free weight stations and resistance machines. Grunt, play your music, use chalk, etc. Just remember to walk out better than when you walked in.

I have been going there since the beginning of July. The gym always has plenty of machines to work out on and is large enough to hold a crowd. That being said, I have been at several different times during the day and it has never been crowded. They have an awesome certified Zumba® instructor, just started Yoga classes, and circuit training, cross fit, boot camp, Her House, and a daycare! Something for everyone. There are several trainers at the gym and they will give you encouragement and let you know if there is a better/different way of doing what it is you are doing. I have never been there, that I have not been greeted, and most of the time someone says goodbye when I leave. When a member has a suggestion I have seen the company implement it as soon as it was feasible.(I.e. fan in Her House was suggested, and put in the very next day). The only drawback is no locker rooms, but they have started building those already.

I have been a member at several gyms in Bell County and Field House is by far the best in the area. Sure there are things that could be improved upon but the owner and staff are always open for suggestions and take them very seriously. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about health and fitness. They are passionate about their field and show respect in every sense of the word; they don’t view members as merely a $ sign. I love this gym and could not imagine working out anywhere else!

I have been to many gyms as a member and a trainer. This is a real gym for real training. Best place I have ever lifted in. Free weights, machines, cardio equipment with TV, kids room, womens training room and Smoothie Ds supplemnt shop. It doesnt get any better than this. I love this place. Timothy G is upset because its not a country club… that place is on the other side of 190. The staff is top notch and the trainers are certified with their credentials on the wall. He is intimidated because Derek is 2x his size and looks like he belongs in the gym. Derek is has devoted his life to this place and lives a real fitness lifestyle. Timothy G belongs at Planet Fitness where they have pizza buffets and squating is not allowed.

Being open around the clock is awesome, however, they’re located immediately adjacent to a bingo hall, a nightclub, & a bar, making it a little uncomfortable to utilize the facility on a Friday or Saturday night. There are also no showers/locker rooms, which they say is in the works, but those are two must have’s for any gym & should’ve been finished by opening time. Without those 2 very important things, you can’t utilize the gym before work w/o going back home, or after work because there’s no place to change/store your stuff. Once that is complete, this gym will be awesome! Best in the area despite the less than desirable location.
