I visited this park last week for the first time after having no idea it existed. There are many pavilions and open space for outdoor activities. I did not see many things for kids like playgrounds or swings but I did not explore the entire area. It is a short distance from the high school and easy to locate. The water fountains(not that I would drink from there) were inoperable and the restrooms were mediocre as far as cleanliness. There are pet stations and lost of picnic tables. There are better parks closer to my house so probably would not visit again but for those who live closer it’s worth a try.

My husband uses the trail(1 mile) as part of his morning run. We love taking our toddlers to this park after dinner to unwind and get out of the house, etc. The playground isn’t crowded, and it’s clean and maintained. It’s usually well-lit, but we’ve been there when several of the park lights were out(bulbs needed to be changed).

Runner’s Review: Lovely lighted trail with trees, but very hilly. If you’re doing a long distance training run, I’d suggest going elsewhere. For intervals and speed work it’s a nice challenge. Trail Distance: ~ 1 mile — According to the Killeen Daily Herald Otherwise a great, park. I’ll refer you to the other reviews for further information.

Love this park. Huge play structure in the shade, baseball fields, and a walking path. The park is well maintained and puuurrdy :) Great for walking the doggies, tons of garbage cans and doggie friendly poop bags!

This is a great park for many outdoor activities. There is a trail around the park for walking, which is about 50% shaded and is just under a mile. There is a nice-sized children’s play area, and there are two baseball fields for local games. The facilities in this park are up-to-date and clean. There is only one restroom building along the trail. Doggie bag stations and trash cans line the trail but there are no drinking fountains. There is ample parking for any day of the week. Overall, you will find this park to be less crowded than some of the other area parks.
