El Torito, formerly La Frontera has potential. The server (owner?) was friendly and provided good service. Credit card machine and soda machine were both out of order, probably because of the change of ownership.
This was a good stop as a break from traffic on I-​95. Close to the highway and easy parking.
Food was fine, chips were hot and salsa seemed fresh which was refreshing. Our kids found foods they liked, not a given, and I enjoyed the non-​chain local feel. Very rough around the edges but stay tuned.

Ridgeland, SC
There are half a dozen Mexican restaurants it seems within a mile in Hardeeville, but this one is the best hands down. The people that work there are very sweet and attentive, and the food is fantastic.
If you are just stopping by while traveling, please try it and you wont be disappointed.
