Guanajuato Meat Market

Got their carnitas tacos anf they were by far some of the best carnitas tacos I’ve hsdbin a long time. The food was freshly made but the service took forever and the ladies had a bad attitude. It took us 20 minutes with just 3 people in front of us to order. Once we got to order the taller woman server asked us «que quieren? «Lol and when we told her it was two separate orders she told us «si si. Ya se» but all Moody. Haha total worth the wait and attitude. It’d be nice if they kept the tray area clean though.

I don’t go there for the meat, but the food they sale it’s soooo good, real mexican cooking, they make good nopales and. the shredded beef with red sauce, im giving only 4 stars because their parking really sucks! And customer service is so so, but who cares, if. food is so yummy =)

I’ve been to many a Carniceria and this place is solid. It’s not as good as the one in Pedro but it’s good. The meat can be a lil pricey so buy the unmarinated meat if you wanna save and season it with your own Carne’ Asada seasoning if you have time to marinate it. Other than that, they have everything for tacos, burritos, flautas, etc. I’m a white boy who loves his mexican food and am passionate about cooking for my family and friends and this place is a solid go to for exactly that. The salsas and the guac are killer!

Just found a long piece of plastic in my burrito!!! Like a piece of a grocery bag! NOT COOL! Just got a refund

Go to carniceria for fresh chicharrones, ready-​made carnitas and fresh guacamole.
Parking is a bit tight, but the lines at the deli counter tell you it’s worth it.

GREAT HOLE IN THE WALL!!! If you usually shop at carniceria’s then you are familiar with the Mexican meat market. This place is that and more. I can’t speak for the market portion, but the hot foods section is tres magnific!
They have food specials Tuesday — Thursday and on Wednesday it is burritos for 2.99 day. Add $ 1 if you want to choose any of 5+ meats that they have to offer. There were about 4 middle aged Latino women working with the food and one guy who was cleaning the dishes lol. When you see someone that can be someone’s tia or grandma then you know the food is going to be good. This held true here.
I know you can get a burrito at thousands of places around LA, but some of them do stick out and the meat here is what makes this place unique. It is a must try. Food coma anyone?

i have never been let down by my fellow Mexican people when it comes to genuine authentic Mexican food. i recommend red chile burrito if you like spice or for a more traditional flavor the carnitas torta is excellente!
don’t forget to order the very tender costillas as an appetizer to ensure a happy belly :)
