Mt. Scott Surgery Center

Deceiving, predatory billing practices!
So I go to an IN-​NETWORK provider as any responsible healthcare consumer would.
I go see Dr. Jerry Yoon about my ongoing plantar fasciitis and the first thing we discuss is the cost as I need to make sure that I can afford it.
Then as he is scheduling my surgery he tells me that he owns part of the Mt. Scott Surgery Center where he is performing my surgery. When I get there the staff informs me that they are an OUT OF NETWORK center. WHAT? But that is why I went to an IN-​NETWORK provider.
Dr. Yoon could have seen me in another surgery center that was covered, but NOOOO, maximizing his profits was more important that making sure that patients are not stuck with the bills. Nine months later I am stuck with the anesthesia bill because of Doctor Yoon’s unscrupulous practices that set up surgeries at his center regardless of the patients health plan. Increasing his interest in the business is ALL that matters!
