Hooray for Lengua Tacos. I totally treasure the taste and texture of tender tongue tacos. The version at La Catrina may not be the best(and they’re not), but they are relatively quick and convenient from this taco truck in SE Portland near Clackamas. * Lengua Taco(3 stars) I tried a trio of these Beef Tongue Tacos. They weren’t terrific or terrible. They were tolerable. I’ll get them again when in need. * Al Pastor Taco(2 stars) Poor pork and a sweet sauce doomed the La Catrina version of marinated and grilled Pork Tacos. There is a small, shared parking lot and about 4 – 5 picnic tables available. Like most food trucks, a visit here will be dependent on the weather and your desire for convenient and quick Mexican-style tacos and burritos.

This is our go-to taco cart for me and my work buddies. Tacos are authentic, salsa is nice and spicy! Fresh tasting. Cheap eating on wednesday for the 99 cent tacos. Busy place!

All the things that I’ve had at La Catrina have been great! The portions are large and the prices are good. They also have a self serve condiments bar with white onions, cilantro, jalapenos & carrots, red and one of the best green sauces in town(I mix the two!) They are open for breakfast(9am?) and they close around 2am every night. !!!Wednesdays are $ 0.99 tacos!!! OH Yeah… if you go there and feel the need to write a review on Unilocal about how the salsas are«too spicy», just go up 82nd to Taco’Hell and grab a handful of the mild sauce and keister stash them for next time…

Best Mexican food in the area. Big fan of their carne asada burrito. Even Bigger fan of their secret green sauce. It is a food cart. It never moves. Haven’t tried a whole lot of other mexican food items I generally enjoy because half the time there’s a lady working there who cant understand my order, in english especially, but even in spanish she doesn’t get it right!(I tried to order flautas or whatever they call them there, and ended up with two giant tortas and an order of chicken enchiladas…) Bring cash just in case their machine isn’t working. Even then we’ve ordered on «account» and paid the man the next day! Great place overall. Green sauce on everything.

DOTHEMATHBEFOREYOUPAYANDMAKESUREYOUARENOTBEINGOVERCHARGED!!! The food is great, but make sure they are charging you the amount you are supposed to pay and not a «hidden tip» I’ve been to this place a few times and in two separate occasions I was overcharged. It wasn’t much($ 2.00 the first time and $ 1.25 the second time) it’s not the money that I was being overchared that bothered me it’s just a matter of honesty and principles! I asked for a receipt and the attendant said they didn’t provide them, I insisted on getting one and he handed it to me, the problem was the math didn’t add up. I respectfully brought this issue to his attention to what he had no answer or apology.

I went back. Wanted a breakfast burrito post Post Pardum Doctor visit at Kaiser. Really wanted a tasty and filling breakfast burrito. Dry eggs, rice at the bottom. Could use some avocado. The salsa was off. they added way too much pepper. It was also $ 6.50 for a burrito. That is $ 1.50 too much, at least, if not more. I am sure these were not farm fresh eggs, they tasted like mass factory farm ones(i only know since I became a fresh-from-the-coop-snob). They also just cooked them a little too much. With that, as if it was not enough to be disappointed in the burrito enough. the salsa was changed up. They made it far too hot. BOTH the green and red. BUTT especially the red sauce. Why did I spell BUTT that way? I had a gig that night that involved sweating, and running after I threw down a track, every 2 – 3 songs for about an hr. Spent a good portion of the night(this is 11 hrs later) with serious intestinal issues. Asses of Fire. Anal Holocaust. Lots of prayers and rocking forward, back, side to side. I am looking forward to letting go of this experience. Luckily I am on a road trip to CA to full fill my need for a good breakfast and veggie burrito, and to help me heal from this experience. I hope the owner is listening. I feel like I was part of an experiment, to see what the human body can handle in terms of heat. I survived. Are you happy?

I’ve attended this food cart many times and is quite popular within the area. This is probably some of the best and most authentic Mexican food within the Clackamas/Happy Valley area. Every time I eat here I know it’s going to be a satisfying experience. I’ve had the Carne asada burrito, and it’s on point every time with a generous portion of meat with refried beans, rice and spices. Their taco are delicious too and hard to resist, especially on Wednesdays when they’re only a dollar. Not to mention their menu contains so many entrée options with so many different meats to choose from. I’m going to have to start trying different items out from this place, as their food has been so enjoyable and delicious every time.

Last few times i have had their burritos here, the burrito was so greasy that while i was eating it it started dripping. There food is good but they go heavy on the oil here.

They’ve moved around 82nd a few times. Are now next to Rocco’s bar. This Mexican food cart is the best around! I have yet to have a better taco anywhere! Especially with the addition of their awesome green sauce. The Burritos are huge and have a huge variety of other items. Sometimes you may have to wait a while, but It’s definitely worth it. They also have brain and tongue if that’s your thing.

I have been a fan for many years, I have brought many friends and nobody has been disappointed. As far as Taco Carts go this is one of my favorites.

Tasty tacos, bomb burritos and… I can’t think of anything that rhymes with torta other than tasty, and that has been used already so… So far I love everything they have to offer here, but by far my favorite is the carnitas. They make a mean carnitas burrito that will fill you up for the rest of the day. One of the better burritos that I have had in a while, as it is filled not only with heavenly carnitas, but the rice and beans are well seasoned and delicious. Nothing is worse than rice and beans that taste just like, well, rice and beans. This is the best $ 5 I have spent in a while. They also have sopes, huaraches and tamales that I have yet to try, but I am sure I will since they are located just down the street from me.

I have ate here at least 10 times or more. Every time I have been here, and have introduced someone to this place they have loved it… With the exception of the last time I went. I ordered a few items, two of them being a Al Pastor Taco, and Al Pastor Burrito. The Al pastor was overly sweet and tasted much different than the Al Pastor I have had there previously. However everything else that was ordered was great, and in the past the Al Pastor has also been excellent… I don’t know what happened. There are 4 Mexican Food Trucks\Karts on from 82nd all the way up to 181st. This is by far the best. The prices are good(burrito is $ 4.50, Taco is $ 1.50, the $ 10 Torta is more food than you can eat in a week). It can take a while to get your food, I think I waited 20 minutes last time I was there. Other than my last experience i really like the food at this place. If you are in the area this is a great place to pick up some authentic kart food!

Everything but the kitchen sink. The only way to describe such a sandwich. It’s hedonistic and frivolous and gratuitous. And good. This torta is also gargantuan. And I am describing the smaller of their two kitchen sink tortas, the cubanita($ 6.50). I have never even been tempted to even try the larger version called the torta cubana($ 10.00). So what’s in this sandwich, you ask? More than anyone needs. Fried egg, ham, hot dog, milanesa(a breaded thin fillet in case you didn’t know), American and Jack cheese, avocado, tomato, and jalapenos. All this on a bolillo of course. This ends up being a salty mess-o-flavor that will sit in your belly like a rock. I have never decided if it is worth it, but I keep coming back for more. They also have the usual tacos, burritos, and other tortas, none of which I have tried yet, but plan to if I can ever put down the cubanita. Also, it is important to note that this is a taco truck. In a gas station parking lot. But they do have a semi-perminant structure that you can sit an eat in. Parking can be tough.
