Fresh burgers here a la In N Out. I had the single patty bacon cheese burger with pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard and ketchup. It was amazing! The whole burger was fresh and served hot. I also got a chocolate milk shake and a side of Cajun fries. I was in burger heaven. The burger melts in your mouth and the combination of topping to meat to bun is perfect. Five guys knows how to do a burger good. They have peanuts to eat while you wait for your order if you’re hungry. Some people throw the shells on the floor, but we decided not to do that. The neighborhood is a bit dicey outside and the location is far from NE pdx. I say its worth it for the burgers.

First time to 5 guys. The Service was friendly and quick. Ordered the cheese burger. It’s huge! Should have ordered the«little». We decide to share a large fry… again HUGE! But they are delicious and husband ordered a caramel milkshake. It was so yummy too. Only reason for the 4 stars is it is a little expensive, but we will return.

The burgers and fries were very good but their prices are a little high for the size of the burgers.

Burger. sometimes i just want a burger. and this is under 2 miles from home. The freshness of the meat. cooked perfectly juicy. Great that you can order all the toppings you like. Folks gobble up the fries but first time at a 5 guys(near Pittsburgh) i had them and thought a bit of a mess, gummy-greasy. But the double patty(standard) cheese burger is plenty for me, Free peanuts. Hot greasy meat, and the bun stays intact.

I like a good hamburger. Five Guys is expensive for a burger. Don’t expect to eat for less than $ 13.00 for a burger fries and drink.

Had lunch today for the first time at Five Guy’s. Very impressed at the greeting from Sue the cashier. Very polite and seem to enjoy her job. I ordered two kosher style hotdogs and had them topped off with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, jalapeño’s and relish. They were out of this world. Also had the Cajun fries. They were very tasty. I will be back.

I seriously don’t understand the hype with five guys. We recently moved from Las Vegas to Portland and sadly we no longer have In-n-Out, the Habit, or Smash Burger :( So we decided to give Five Guys another chance, since the first time I had it back in Vegas I didn’t think it was anything great. I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger and my boyfriend got a normal cheeseburger and we got fries too. First off, the buns are smashed, soggy, not toasted or anything. Looks like Wendy’s or something. Second stupid thing, the cheese wasn’t melted enough and still cold on the pieces sticking out. Not a huge deal, but I like my cheese melty! Third thing, my bacon was so thin and burnt that it was just flavorless crisps of grease, didn’t even taste like bacon. Fourth thing, the burger patty itself was flavorless and kind of dry. I’ve had better frozen patties cooked at home. No juiciness, no fresh taste, nothing special. Lastly, the fries were smothered in salt and were soggy and gross. We didn’t even eat them because they were so mushy and salty, so that was a waste. And why on earth are people saying this place is cheap?! It was 20 bucks for 2 cheeseburgers and a side of fries and 1 small drink, with one of the burgers being a little one. Not that I mind spending that kind of money, but I expect your food to be good or have something special about it! I’ll go to killer burger in a heartbeat over this place and get a huge ass delicious burger and good fries and spend the same amount of money. Also this place is dirty. Who even likes peanuts? And why do people throw them on the floor? I… Don’t… Get it. The milkshakes looked pretty damn good though.

Really good burgers and fries at reasonable prices. I like how they have a lot of options to choose from to put in your burger and there’s no extra charge. I would say it’s pretty family friendly also

My boyfriend and I had lunch here today and it was gross. I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon(pretty simple) and he had a cheeseburger(what they are known for) and we split an order of fries. We got it to go but ate it in our car. I had two bites of my grilled cheese and already felt nauseous. It had this awful plastic stench to it. My boyfriend ate his cheeseburger and soon became pretty sick. We came in thinking it would be great with all of the«great reviews» all over the walls of this place. We were wrong. Now my boyfriend is on the roller coaster of having food poisoning! Never eating five guys again. Little big burger is 100x better(and cheaper).

Dear Five Guys, Holy cheap burger and fries. Thank goodness I ordered the small sizes, I can’t imagine what a large order of fries looks like. Perhaps it is served in a shoebox. I’m not a huge fan of peanuts. In fact, I detest roasted in-shell peanuts as I find them boring and unsatisfying and don’t think they should be classified as a food. But I just didn’t eat them. Not a big deal. Your burgers are awesome. Your cajun fries are awesome. I wish I lived in Portland so I could make you a junk food day staple, but I do not and that is sad. Keep on keepin’ on. See you someday. Love, Angela

This the second 5 Guys I’ve been to. The other one’s food quality was way higher. Ordering was nice. People at the counter were nice. Everything went smoothly but the burger. Wow. For $ 7? The burger was practically a cinder. A charcoal briquet! It was CRUNCHY. The grilled onion was either skimpy or tasteless. I chose not to disassemble my burger to find out which. I thought about taking it back, but meh, it was lunch and it was edible. As much as I dislike Mickey D’s though, I would choose them over this location if it came down to it. There are better 5 Guy locations. Who knows, maybe I just caught them at just the wrong time. I may try them again next time I’m up that way. What I do know is the other one I went to, THAT was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. So, big contrast.

I had never been to a Five Guys before but I was shocked I hadn’t. The fries and burgers were super yummy and the portions/prices were good. The place was fairly clean except the floors, but there was a person trying to keep up with the mess the whole time. The staff is super friendly! I had lots of questions. They were quick too. The tables and chairs were really short and uncomfortable(and I’m five foot nothing) but I’m not sure if that’s just all of these places.

Made to order madness. I think other burger places pale in comparison. Lots of signs everywhere with compliments all based on the East Coast. My guess is they appreciate a good burger more than their west coast compatriots. All i read on here is about aoggy this or getting my order wrong with this topping or that topping. People pile a burger high all kinds of toppings then expecting it to be some unjuicy barely edible fast food look alike is not possible. This is grab yourself some napkins and get busy. I didnt see in person not liking their fingers or wiping their mouth. This is not in the category of fast food. Its fresh cut fries. Potatoes full of water not frozen. Its going to wet your bag. Thats the difference between fresh and frozen people recognize good stuff. Prices are a little up there but i think the quality justifies it.

Food good but priced high. Worst part about this place is the smokers outside the front door. Staff don’t care and the teller looked at me stupid when i noted the cloud we had to walk through. Man up guys and make the experience good for those coming in. And before you say thats not our property the security for fred meyer can easily be called to move them along. After getting the food we went home. More to come…

Fast food is a pejorative term. We see places like McDonald’s that overcharge for filth based on marketing. With lots of diners opting for rapidly growing places such as In-N-Out and Chipotle, providing competition has been a success for some. Consumers no longer want to be cheated as if they were the stupid livestock that they eat. Five Guy’s is the beneficial difference between existing in and out of the crate. Five Guy’s offers Happy Valley some relief. The place is huge and the menu is small. You get in line and then soon enough you order. I got the cheeseburger, large fries and a drink for $ 12. It came quickly enough after about four minutes. The burger was crispy and the fries were what set this place apart. Men’s Fitness acknowledged the caloric content of the fries for a reason. I might suggest saving money by getting the smaller burger or smaller drink sizes since refills are unlimited. The place clearly has a novelty. It provides the basics well in an area of Brentwood-Darlington where people are on the run. By no means is it particularly good, but it isn’t particularly bad.

The food is great, the place was a little messy but I’m sure I caught them on a bad day. The burgers and fries are simply great! Can’t have enough of them, which doesn’t help my diet. Can’t wait to go back again

This Five Guys location is not as consistently good as the previously location we uses to live close to(in CA). The burgers are typically juicy and well made without screwing up the add ons selected, but sometimes you get your burger(bag) handed to you, only to find a soggy bun, which is never enjoyable. The flavor of the meat though along with your selected toppings just melts together in a way that it just great! The fries are typically more miss than hit. They will come out greasy and limp/undercooked or over cooked. There never seems to be enough seasoning added when you order the Cajun style seasoned fries. The regular portion size is more than enough for two people, you could share with three if you really wanted to. We ordered the little portion size this evening and it was enough for two to split and we hardly had any fries left after eating our burgers too. So as far as price and fry portion you get your monies worth. As for drinks I wish this place had the customizable«Coke freestyle» machine. Not a huge thing but it’s super cool to be able to just tap the screen and add any flavor from vanilla to orange to your soda. Over all I can’t really complain, I enjoy cheeseburgers immensely and they’re always good so I will go back.
