This place has descent appetizers. Love their buffalo chicken nachos and the hog hammers are by far their best. I will be honest they have alright burgers but if you are looking for a variety menu you may want to keep moving. This place definitely makes its niche in the TVs everywhere, watch your favorite local sports team while you eat some snacks and drink market. Very popular place for happy hour but beware get there early for happy hour because large parties gum up their kitchen speed something fierce. Could do much worse could do better. Boardwalk lemonades go for those too!

Please see my review for Bar Louie. How does an average/below average place get so much business? Oh, I know… it’s the only place within walking distance from my hotel. I define good dining as an establishment that can do better than I can. I’m not a professional chef. I boil noodles for my daughter. However, this is my third meal here in two days(lack of options). Average, average, average! Do something to stand out. Thanks for deep frying my boneless wings as I don’t have a deep fryer at home. However, you’re not impressing anyone. Cower in your shell, little turtle. Next trip to Baltimore, I’m going to spring for an Über and venture out.

Went there today, they had a free meal giveaway so it was busy, I get that. Had a 20 minute time for a table, so we signed up and grabbed a drink at the bar. Table was ready in 12 minutes. Sat down, got menus, and that was the last we saw of the staff. 40 minutes later, our drinks were finished, so we left. Never once did someone one by and even offer to take the menus, let alone an order. Terrible service, hostess upon us leaving could careless. Her response was, oh ok. Been there many times before. Quite sure I’m done.

This was a work dinner night about 20 of us. Our waitress was really good, remembering all I orders and not writing it down. Checked on us frequently. It was my first time there and it’s a big sports bar, TVs every where etc… I ordered the turkey wrap with sweet potato fries. Overall it was ok the meal was like a replica of Thanksgiving dinner. Spinach wrap I guess aka collard greens, inside the wrap turkey cranberries and stuffing. So this is where they messed up too much stuffing and not enough meat. I could only barely eat half of the wrap. Then sweet potatoe fries I guess we’re the yams. There drink menu looked great but since it was a work dinner I opted out for just H2O

Worst meal I may have ever had. Terrible! Went with a group and everyone agreed that we will never come back here again. Ribs stunk, shrimp were the smallest frozen shrimp I ever saw with some nasty sweet sauce, weren’t even sure if they were cooked. Service was awful and it wasn’t even crowded. Think the whole staff was out back smoking a joint or something. Will never be back.

This lace sucks. Service is usually slow. Food is never as good as it sounds on the menu. Everything tastes very pre-prepared(as are most similar restaurants), but whatever they are sourcing these meals from is just not as good as many of the other not-so-great chain restaurants. I hate that my work often has functions here because otherwise, I avoid this place like the plague. It gets 2 stars bc the staff are friendly, and it’s generally clean, and is a sports bar restaurant atmosphere that some people may like(lots of memorabilia on the walls, etc). But that’s not my thing either… paired with poor tasting food = no go for me.

If you ever go here they have this huge drink in the shape of a turtle shell /upside down bowl. It is so good and it is easily shareable by four or more people! I loved the service we had here and we really had a great time. The drinks were reasonably priced and so was the food. A pretty awesome outdoor dining area too.

I’ve been coming to this spot for a while now. I have to say, it’s one of my favorite bars to go and grab a beer and watch football or hockey. The food is bar food — priced well and simple. Some of my favorite things on the menu: The burgers, the Thai chili wings, crab dip, and the nachos. Like I said, bar food. The thing that makes this Turtle awesome is the staff. For instance, last visit the place was packed out for football and every table was overflowing with people. Morgan, our server/bartender was not only incredibly friendly, but also busting her tail to get everyone’s orders. There was never a time my mug was empty for more than a second. Kudos given the crazy amount of people there. AJ also came out when it got busy and made sure everyone was good to go. Thanks to Danny too for always being cool and accommodating when we are trying to switch TV’s and what not. I know that’s a pain, but he never complains and gets it done for us. It’s that kind of service that keeps me and my friends coming back. Keep it up.

I came here for happy hour and ordered the Raspberry Turkey Flatbread which was just ok. It wasn’t all that at all. It was full of raspberry seasonings that was poured all over it. Dripping out the sandwich. I had to take away a star because of that. Now that was a bit much. I also didn’t taste any of the jerk seasonings. .Now what was that about? I definately wouldn’t order it again. The server was very nice and efficient. She checked on us regularly. The drink l ordered was good. I ordered a french Martini which l enjoy getting from them because they make a mean one. I enjoyed my company with my girlfriend we got a chance to catch up on chat time and she ordered the pretzels and crab dip. Which was very good. I probably would be ordering that my next go round. She said her adult beverage was good as well. They have happy hour from 3 to 7pm and they do have Happy hour specials.

There were several open tables but told it would be a 15 minute wait. Once seated we ordered beer which one took forever and the other we were told the tap was being changed. Pressured to hurry up and order but food took forever. No beer when food was delivered so cancelled the order. Fish sandwich was Luke warm at best. Cheeseburger and chicken sandwich both ordered with no tomato came with tomato. Nothing special with the food or service tonight.

My team and I came here Tuesday evening for dinner and had a more than unpleasant experience. From a service perspective, it was great; our waitress was very kind and friendly. However, the food was more than sub-par and this was unanimous amongst our group. I started with the chili, which was a bit cold and the ingredients did not seem very fresh, leading in with the double grilled chicken breast entrée topped with crab, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was dry and flavorless and I’m usually not picky about what I eat. Unfortunately, we will not be returning during our next visit — Best, Charlie

I came here on Friday night for dinner with my parents and grandparents and uncle who were in from out of town and staying at the SpringHill next door. Let me start by saying that even though it’s definitely walking distance I decided to drive over… and I got lost. To this day I have no idea how to get to the Greene Turtle from the SpringHill. I think you may have to go through an office parking lot to get there… if you get on the main roads and miss your turn you’ll basically end up either on the highway or at the casino. I felt like such a schmuck driving around. This was a seemingly good place for us to go on Friday night, apart and aside from the proximity to the hotel, because it was mostly handicapped accessible and they had no wait for a table of 6 at 8pm. We were also able to pick between a booth and a table, which was especially nice for my grandparents. We picked a booth and the TV was on at our table so we were able to watch the Orioles game as we ate. The service was good, the wait was good… but my food was blech. I ordered the crabby melt sandwich without the bacon, which essentially then ends up being a grilled cheese with crab dip on grilled sourdough. Pretty much immediately when they brought it out I remembered that I don’t love the crab dip at Greene Turtle because it doesn’t really taste like crab — it’s like a warm cream cheese dip with no lump meat or Old Bay. It was my mistake for forgetting that so I ate it anyway, but I was not impressed. My dad took a bite and said, «is that crab dip or is that cream cheese?» Exactly. Then we noticed that a band was setting up to play literally right behind my grandparents heads. We asked our waitress about ti and she said there was no set time for them to play — it’s just kind of whenever they’re ready. This probably would have been a good thing to share with us when we chose to sit in this particular booth because generally older people are less excited at the prospect of having a live band playing music 6 inches behind their heads. But fortunately we hurried out of there before the music started and everyone was happy. I would probably come here again… but word to the wise: don’t forget that their crab dip is pretty much awful.

Horribly slow service, painfully average food and wine and mixed drinks that gives me a headache. And yet I keep coming back because it’s convenient, the prices are great(especially during happy hour which is 3 – 7 p.m.) and every one seems to always want to go. The waitresses do their best to accommodate the crowds, but they’re woefully understaffed to handle the surges. It is a great place to watch a game though, the entire inside is covered in tvs.

Went to this place for a weekly outings with my girls. the staffs are very friendly and accommodating. I forgot the name but our waitress was very nice and checked in with us couple of times! I got crab cake sandwich and to be honest, food wasn’t the greatest for $ 16 meal. the bread was not even toasted or buttered, it felt like they just put the bun you see at Walmart, and crab cake seemed okay but fries were not crispy. won’t return for the food! however the atmosphere is really nice.

Good crab cake for this kind of place. Decent drinks. Tried to veer from my usual crab cake and got a burger and was disappointed. Service is usually slow so don’t go if your in a rush.

I went to Green Turtle on a Saturday evening to watch a UFC fight and after my 2nd visit here I think it’s time for me to write a review. Arrived a little after 8pm to watch the Rousey vs. Correia which was a highly anticipated fight so to my surprise(pleasantly) it wasn’t crowded at all. I was immediately seated outside and a waitress came right over. Our waitress for the night was name Danielle and she was great! This place has tons of TV’s(2 outside and more inside) and a huge bar area. Perfect place to watch any sports event. I noticed that people started arriving close to 9pm and by 10pm they were almost packed, shortly after it was wall to wall with people. But didn’t bother me a inch because I was comfortable in my seat ;-) Since I arrived so early I had plenty of time to eat, drink, chill and just enjoy the atmosphere and making new friends. Here is a rundown of what I devoured… from what I can remember LOL Hog Hammers Looked like miniature rib bones shaped in drumsticks with BBQ sauce, served with fries. — Tender, well seasoned and very good Crab Dip Crab dip baked with melted mozzarella cheese and topped with Old Bay seasoning with warm, soft pretzel sticks for dipping. — Plenty of crab, perfect balance of cheese and the pretzel sticks are more like a soft cut up pretzel bread roll — pretty darn tasty and worth getting Maryland Crab Soup Tomato-based crab soup — Typical Maryland Crab Soup — nothing that would make it a «signature dish» but still good Fleet Street Chicken *HEADSUP* you have the choice of getting one or two chicken breast, I choose 1. It was topped with a balsamic glaze, diced tomatoes and lump crab. Green beans and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes on the side. This dish was awesome and I think I inhaled it because I ate it so fast LOL! Lemon Blitz Deep Eddy Lemonade and I’m sorry I don’t remember what else was in it but it was rrreeealllyy good! Ruby Red Crush Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka, fresh squeezed orange juice and Sprite — GOOD! Black Cherry Crush Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon Whiskey, fresh squeezed orange juice, Citrus Sour and cherries — YUMMY! Our waitress Danielle never missed a beat and believe me when I say she was busy. She kept the alcoholic beverages coming and consistently checked in to make sure all is ok but not to the point of it being overbearing. At one point she told us to just call her name if we needed her and she would be right there. Very cool waitress. Staggered out 5 hours or so later, full, happy and full of libations LOL!

Was there a couple weeks ago on a Wednesday night. There were a couple playoffs happening at the same time, so the bar was p-a-c-k-e-d, while the dining room was sparse.(Granted, it was about 9:30 pm.) Met a friend there, so we decided to get a table away from the bar, only to be sat right near the entrance. We requested a booth, but that section was closed. Instead, we moved to a booth in another area — back near the bar again. They seemed a little annoyed, but they didn’t tell us we couldn’t do it. I had the hog hammers, while my friend had(I think) fried shrimp, and we each had a beer. All was okay on the food front, and the server was decently attentive. Mostly we were just talking over the din from the bar. I would go back mostly for the company, preferably with a little less noise.

Bottom Line: A loud bar with TVs that coincidentally serves food. The Green Turtle is a bar and a good place to go when you want to blow off some steam or get totally wasted. They have some delicious shots, fun mixed drinks, the 64 oz Hell-in-a-Shell and a decent selection of beers. Along with being a bar, one can expect the following: — Its loud — Sometimes it’s jammed packed — There are lots of TVs if you want to catch the game — The food is just ok — food for soaking up the booze but not going to wow you What I particularly like about This Green Turtle location is that they honor Happy Hour in the restaurant. I appreciate that, and applaud them for doing so, since this TGT is a little smaller than others and it gets busy. I’m not into doing shots, but I can never say no to a Pineapple Upside-down Cake shot at the Turtle. Also, if you want a «conversation piece» at your table, be sure to order a Hell-in-the-Shell 64oz. mixed drink concoction. For me, the shell drink was too sweet but it was certainly lots of fun.

Morgan and Cecilia made us four girls a great huge margarita to share in the turtle shell last night. We didn’t want the normal she’ll drink because it’s an instant headache(could be called hell in a shell). It was amazing and definitely should be added to the menu! Ask for it!
